To improve the Warm-up timing and the Toner consumption, the following changes have been
made:

1. To limit the machine from entering the drum protection control, the conditions have been
changed.
The drum refresh conditions table has been changed. (This depends on the Drum drive
time)
The operation time in high temperature environments , has been changed from
120 seconds to 60 seconds. Additionally the amount of toner which is supplied has been
changed.

2. The drum protection control will be disabled, 60 minutes after the last print-out.
The drum protection control will be disabled within 60 minutes after power-up or
sleep mode recovery.

Phenomenon

Colour registration shift may occur, when operating the machine in a high temperature and
humid environment.

Solution

The following changes have been made:

1. Firmware changes
The timing to turn the Main charge ON and OFF has been changed.
The Main charge for the toner (All colours) has been changed, to improve absorption
between the Drum unit and the Transfer belt. The conventional multi stage control will still
be applied after 10.000 print-outs.

2. Please follow the procedure on page 2 after upgrading the Firmware.

Solution

Toner sensor output correction for temperature and humidity has been changed.
