Phenomenon If impact is applied to the DR-895C, the solenoid lever may disenagage from the drive unit. If the

machine operates in this state, the solenoid lever is not engaged with the gears and the bypass
lift plate will go up and down resulting in paper feed failure.

Solution A rib has been added to the housing side of the frame to prevent the solenoid lever from

disengaging.

Rib (A)

Rib (A) prevents the lever from disengaging on the side where this rib
is located. The lever may disengage at the housing side of the frame,
where there is no rib. Rib (B) has been added to this side, so that the
lever is supported from both sides.
