This patented technology takes the guesswork out of hot milk preparation. The machine automatically
achieves expert results by constantly monitoring the temperature of the milk then frothing to the
precise requirements of the recipe. When the process is complete the unit automatically shuts off.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic
safety precautions should always be followed
to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and/or
injury to persons, including the following:
Read all instructions prior to first use.
The appliance must only be plugged into
main socket with a ground supply. Check
that the supply voltage matches the
country’s requirement on the rating plate of
the appliance.
Any incorrect connection voids the
guarantee.
Unplug the appliance immediately if you
notice any anomalies during operation.
Always place your XL 2000 Perfect Milk
Frother on a flat, stable, heat resistant work
surface away from water splashes and any
external sources of heat.
Note that the body of the stainless steel
Perfect Milk Frother becomes hot during
operation. Do not touch the sides of the
product during use. Use the handle to move
the product when hot.
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or
knobs.
Do not leave your hand on the power cord
or the hot parts of the appliance.
To protect against fire, electric shock and
injury to persons, do not immerse cord,
plugs, base or body in water or other liquid.
Do not wash the appliance in the
dishwasher.
Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used near children. Keep
appliance out of reach of children. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capacities,
or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
Between 2 uses, let the appliance rest for 2
minutes before lauching a new cycle
Unplug appliance from outlet when not
in use, before and during cleaning. Allow
the product to cool down before putting
on or taking off parts, before cleaning the
appliance and before storing.
Your guarantee does not apply if the appliance
is not cleaned or maintained regularly or if there
is an unfamiliar part found inside the product.

Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions,
or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility
for examination, repair or adjustment.
All of our appliances are subject to quality control checks. Operating tests are carried out on
the appliances at random, which is why some may have traces of use.
This appliance is for household use. Any servicing other than cleaning and user maintenance
should be performed by the KRUPS Consumer Service Department.
Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
The use of accessory attachments not recommended by KRUPS may result in fire, electric
shock or injury to persons.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot liquids.
Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
Do not pour liquids (soups, sauces etc.) other than milk into the container.
Always close the lid when running the XL 2000 Perfect Milk Frother. Scalding milk may splash
out if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.
Protect the machine against humidity and freezing. Keep in dry place at room temperature.
Do not use outdoors.

SPECIAL CORD SET INSTRUCTIONS
A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is to be provided to reduce
risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if
care is exercised in their use.
If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used,
- The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension cord should
be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance,
- If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type
3-wire cord.
- The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table
top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Remove all packaging, stickers or paper inserts from the product.
Wash the appliance inside and out to remove any dust that may have accumulated during shipping.
Do not submerge the product in water.
Do not wash the product in the dishwasher.
Dry the appliance thoroughly, taking careful note that the frothing device is securely fixed in place.

THE VARIOUS PREPARATIONS
Milk choices: Different results are achieved depending on the type and temperature of the
milk. Whole milk, 2% fat, 1% fat, skim milk and even soy milk will foam with varying results. i.e.
Whole milk will provide a richer flavor and texture but skim milk will often provide a larger volume
of foam.
Note: never reheat milk that has already been frothed.

- Minimum milk level is approx 2 oz. - 50 mL.
- Milk must at least cover the frothing device for the product to function effectively.
- For each frothing selection - Cappuccino, Latte or steamed milk- the maximum starting
volume of milk is marked on the inside of the container.

RECOMMENDATIONS
FOR QUALITY RESULTS IN CASE
OF SUCCESSIVE CYCLES
For best results it is important to rinse and dry the product between consecutive uses. Heating
milk repeatedly can cause a “skin” of milk to form on the bottom of the container which can
harden and prevent proper heating and frothing.
For the Caffe Latte function, in order to ensure that recipe works well, take care to clean the
inside of the container between each use in order to remove the skin of milk and use cold milk
straight out of the fridge.

THE WARRANTY
This product is guaranteed by KRUPS for a period of 2 years against any manufacturing defect
in materials or workmanship, starting from the initial date of purchase.
The manufacturer’s warranty by KRUPS is an extra benefit which does not affect consumer’s
Statutory Rights.
The KRUPS warranty covers all costs related to restoring the proven defective product so that
it conforms to its original specifications, through the repair or replacement of any defective part
and the necessary labor. At KRUPS’s choice, a replacement product may be provided instead
of repairing a defective product. KRUPS’s sole obligation and your exclusive resolution under
this warranty are limited to such repair or replacement.
CONDITIONS & EXCLUSIONS
The KRUPS warranty only applies within USA, Canada & Mexico, and is valid only on presentation
of a proof of purchase. The product can be taken directly in person to an authorized service
centre or must be adequately packaged and returned, by recorded delivery (or equivalent method
of postage), to a KRUPS authorized service centre. Full address details for each country’s

appropriate telephone number listed below to request the appropriate postal address.
KRUPS shall not be obliged to repair or replace any product which is not accompanied by a
valid proof of purchase.

product, or a modification or unauthorized repair of the product. It also does not cover normal
tear and wear, maintenance or replacement of consumable parts, and the following:
- using the wrong type of water
- scaling (any de-scaling must be carried out according to the instructions for use);
- ingress of water, dust or insects into the product;
- mechanical damages, overloading
- damages or bad results due to wrong voltage or frequency
- accidents including fire, flood, lightning, etc
- professional or commercial use
- damage to any glass or porcelain ware in the product
