IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
1. Read all instructions. Misuse of appliance may result in personal injury.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against re, electric shock and injury to persons do not immerse cord, plugs or appliance in water or other liquid. Avoid spillage on the connector.
4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
5. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
6. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

7. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
8. Unplug Electric Kettle from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
9. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest Authorised Service Centre for examination, repair, or adjustment.
10. Use of replacement parts not recommended by manufacturer may result in re, shock, or injury to persons.
11. Do not use outdoors.
12. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
13. To disconnect, turn any control to “OFF”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
14. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
15. The Electric Kettle should only be used to heat water.
16. Do not use Electric Kettle with loose or weakened handle.
17. Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
18. Do not clean Electric Kettle with abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or other abrasive materials.
19. The Electric Kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
20. Do not overll kettle. If the kettle is overlled, boiling water may be ejected.
21. The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use. Do not touch hot surface. Use handles.
22. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.

23. Refer to the “Care and Cleaning” section for instructions on cleaning the surfaces in contact with food.
24. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, ofces or other working environments;
- farmhouses;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments.
25. The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
26. CAUTION: Do not operate the kettle on an inclined plane. Do not operate the kettle unless the element is fully immersed. Do not move while the kettle is switched on.
