If a television is not positioned in a sufficiently stable location, it can be potentially hazardous
due to falling. Many injuries, particularly to children, can be avoided by taking simple precautions
such as:
• Using cabinets or stands recommended by the manufacturer os the television.
• Only using furniture that can safely support the television.
• Ensuring the television is not overhanging the edge os the supporting furniture.
• Not placing the television on tall furniture (for example, cupboards or bookcases) without
anchoring both the furniture and the television to a suitable support.
• Not standing the televisions on cloth or other materials placed between the television and
supporting furniture.
• Educating children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the television or its
controls.
• Keep small accessories out of reach of children so they are not mistakenly swallowed.

HDMI, or high-definition multimedia interface, is a next-generation interface that enables the
transmission of digital audio and video signals using a single cable without compression.
Multimedia interface is a more accurate name for it especially because it allows multiple channels
of digital audio (5.1 channels).
The difference between HDMI and DVI is that the HDMI device is smaller in size, has the HDCP
(High Bandwidth Digital Copy Protection) coding feature installed, and supports multi-channel
digital audio.
Each DVD player/STB has a different back panel configuration.
Connect an HDMI Cable between one of the HDMI connectors on the TV and the HDMI
connector on the DVD player/Set-Top Box.

Signal Quality/Signal Strength (DTV Only): Unlike analogue channels, which can vary in
reception quality, digital channels must have perfect reception quality or you will not receive them
at all. So, unlike analogue channels, you are not able to fine tune a digital channel. If the signal
strength indicates that the signal is weak, a possible solution is to adjust your antenna to increase
the signal strength. Continue to adjust the antenna until you find the best position with the
