SPARE PARTS

Although Husky maintains a vast inventory of standard hot runner components, non-standard components are not kept in stock. It is recommended that spares of specific wear items and non-standard components be ordered alo ng with the system to ensure that these are immediately available when required.

VALVE GATE AIR KIT

To ensure optimum valve stem actuation, Husky recommends that all valve gate hot runner systems be equipped with a valve gate air kit. This kit includes a filter and oil separator (#1), exhaust silencers (#2 and #5), a solenoid valve (#3 specify 24V DC or 110V AC) and quick exhaust valves (#4), as well as all fittings and hoses required for installation.

ELECTICAL CONNECTORS

Introduction
Electrical connectors are supplied with complete hot runner systems. Husky can supply three configurations of electrical connectors: 24 pin, 25 pin and 32 pin. The majority of Pronto™ manifolds use two 24 pin connectors or alternately a 25 pin and a 24 pin connectors in combination. Eight drop manifolds with four manifold zones require two 32 pin connectors. The installation geometry for each connector is shown at right.

LOCATING RING

The locating ring performs two basic functions:
Provides alignment of the hot runner to the injection molding machine.
Prevents resin drool from entering the hot runner manifold pocket. The locating ring type used for a particular application depends upon: the machine platen locating hole diameter, and
backing plate thickness.

TOOLS

The use of standard Husky hot runner tools simplifies maintenance and reduces the likelihood of component damage. Contact Husky to order any of the tools in this section.
Valve Stem Removal Tool (VG/VX)
To ensure the valve stems are pulled straig ht during removal, the valve stem removal tool is recommended. Tools are selected based on valve stem length and cylinder size.
