Headphone/ear phone listening at high volume levels may cause perm anent damage to your hearing. Always set the volume contro l to the lowest level bef ore switching to different sourc es (tuner, CD player, MP3 player, etc.) or before plugging in the headphone s/earphones. For your safety, do not use headphones/ear phones while driving or cycling.
Earphone Remov al
• To avoid discomfort , use a slow twisting motion to gradually break the seal.
• Open the jaw slight ly to equalize pressure, because suction can occur when the eartip is removed.

Proper Care
• Do not expose earph ones to extreme temperatures.
• Avo id dropping or strong impact. Extreme shock can damage the earphones.
• A lways leave an ear tip on the earphone for shock protection.
• Pe rspiration entering the nozzle may cause the earphone to temporarily stop working. Normal operation usually resume s after the earphone dries out.
• Do not pull on the cord to remove it from the jack or the ear.
• Cl ean or replace the ear tips prior to use and following by others.
• Re place disposable foam ear tips regularly.
• Ea rwax buildup can reduce the earphone output. When the lters become clogged, they should be replace d. See Changing Filters.
Caution
Consult a physician or audiologist if you have excessive cerumen, difculty insertin g the ear tips, or discomfort aft er prolonged use. It is unsafe to use insert earphones while driving a motorized vehicle, operating machinery, bicyc ling or jogging, because you may not be alerted to potential danger. Do not use the earphones at excessively loud levels. Noise-induce d hearing loss is a result of exposure time, the average sound level and the peak of very loud sounds. Decreased listening levels allow for longer periods of safe listening time.
Changing Filter s
1. Remove eartip.
Filter Replace ment
1. With your ngers, put the nar­row end of a new lter into the end of the earphone. Be careful to put the open end in rst so that the lter can be seen at the tip of the earphone. Gently push on the lter and snap it into the earphone. You should feel and hear it snap in place .
2. Firmly push the sharp tip of the lter tool into the center of the lter.
2. Add the eartip back onto the earphone.

3. Pull out the entire lter and plastic ring.
