CHARGING THE BATTERY
1. Remove the cam era from its housing.
4. Be sure the ca mera is power ed off.
5. Charge the b attery by conne cting the c amera to a com puter
using t he included USB ca ble. The red s tatus light turns on dur ing
charging and turns off wh en the batte ry is fully c harged.
The in cluded lit hium-ion batter y comes par tially charged. No damage
occurs to the came ra or batter y if used pri or to a full charge.
2. Remove the ca mera side door and i nsert a mic roSD, microSDHC
or microSDXC
™
card into the c ard slot. A mic roSD card wi th a Class
10 or UHS-1 ratin g is required .

CAMERA SOFTWARE UPDATES
To get the la test feature s and best p erforma nce from you r HERO3+ Silve r
camera, make sure you’re usin g the most cur rent camera soware.
You can update your camera soware via the GoPro A pp, GoPro
soware or at gopro.com/getstarted.
CAMER A DEFAULT SET TINGS
The HE RO3+ Silver p owers up wit h the follow ing defaul t settings :
Video 960p60 fps
Photo 10MP (megapixels)
Burst Photo 10 photos in 1 secon d
Time Lapse 0.5 seconds

POWERING ON + OFF
To Power On:
Press the Power/Mode button [ ]. The red ca mera status light s flash
three times a nd the sound indicator e mits three beeps. Once the ca mera
status screen displays informati on, your cam era is on.
To Power Off:
Press and ho ld the Power/Mode button [ ] for two seconds. The red
came ra status lights fl ash severa l times and th e sound indicato r emits
seven beeps.

To record video, verif y that the ca mera is in Video mod e. If the Video

In Burst mode yo ur camera takes multiple p hotos in shor t time
intervals3 photos/1 second, 5 p hotos/1 second and 10 photos/
1 second.
To capture a Burst photo se ries, verify that the c amera is in Burst

TIME LAPSE
Time Lapse mode captures a series of photo s at interva ls of 0.5, 1, 2,
5, 10, 30 or 60 se conds.
To capture a Time Lapse ser ies, verif y that the ca mera is in Time
