INTRO TO H ERO1 0 BLAC K BONES
HERO10 Black Bones takes the core HERO10 Black imaging elements— the lens, image sensor, and GP2 processor—and puts them into a design that 's made speci fically for FP V. This gives you t he same i mage qu alit y of HERO 10 Black, plus mos t of its feature s.
Heads Up: Some of t hese fe atures may not be well suited for d rone captu re, but a re outlined i n this ma nual so that yo u can see the ful l capabilities of your new camera.
SD CARDS
You’ll need a m icroS D card (sold separately) to save your videos and pho tos. Us e a
brand-name card that fits these requirements:
• microSD, microSDHC™, or microSDXC™
• R ated Cl ass V3 0, UHS -3, or highe r
• C apac ity u p to 512GB

Be sure yo ur hand s are cle an and dr y before handl ing you r SD card. Check the manufacturer’s guidelines to see your card’s acceptable temperature range and other important information.
Heads Up: SD cards can degrade over time and aect your camera’s ability to save your media. Try swapping out an older card for a new one if you’re having any problems.

SD CARD + WIRING SETUP
1. With your c amer a o, insert t he SD card into t he card s lot wi th the label facing the back of your camera.
You can ejec t the card by pressing i t into the slot w ith yo ur finge rnail.
2. Connect your camera's wire harness to a power source on your flight contr oller t hat is fed by a 2S- 6S (5-27V ) battery. B efore connec ting , be sure to follow your drone manufacturer's wiring recommendations.
• C onne ct th e red wire to your drone's flight control ler batter y power pad.
• Connect the black wire to your drone's flight controller battery ground pad.
• T he yell ow wire c an be connec ted to you r drone's fligh t controller for trigger commands using BetaFlight.

QR CODES
All modes and s ettings ca n be chan ged in a fl ash usi ng QR codes. You can pull f rom a lib rar y of code s that 's bee n set up to h andle b asic camer a func tions and commonly u sed settings or create cus tom codes to set up yo ur camera exac tly as you need for specialize d shot s.
1. With your camera on, scan the QR code size d at 1.5" x 1.5".

HindS ight is a power ful feature th at can capture u p to 30 seconds of video before yo u press the Shu tter button. Th is let s you reco rd key moments even after they happen.
Imagine your kid making the game-winning play during their big game. This is a m oment you don’ t want to m iss. W ith H indSi ght on, you can frame y our sho t, but you don’ t have to s tar t recording. You can press the Shut ter bu tton the vi deo it c aptured before you pres sed th e Shut ter button (u p to 30 secon ds) and w ill con tinue record ing unt il you s top th e video.
HindS ight works by c apturing vi deo th e enti re time t hat it ’s on (eve n when you’re not actively recording). Depending on how you use it, HindSight may use your camera’s battery capacity faster than recording in normal video mode.
Your camera will also pause HindSight if you have not started recording 15 minutes after you turned HindSight on. This is another way to conserve battery power.
