C-2000 Contactors & Starters
Broaden Your Horizons
Mechanical interlocks allow quick, easy configuration of reversing contactors
Coil information is printed on top of each contactor for easy reference
A wider array of components gives you greater design versatility:
3-pole AC contactors (non-reversing and reversing, ranging from 5-500 hp @ 460 volts)
3-pole DC contactors (ranging from 5-500 hp; ideal for PLCs, utilities and
other specialized applications)
4-pole AC contactors (non-reversing, ranging from 7.5 to 500 hp)
Overload relays (Class 10 versions for contactors in the 5-125 hp range, and
Class 10 and Class 30 versions for contactors in the 150-500 hp range)
Contactor accessories — front- and side-mount auxiliary contact blocks, mechanical interlocks, pneumatic timers, surge suppressors, and more
Enclosures (NEMA 1, 12/3R and 4)
Assembled starters, non-reversing and reversing, open and enclosed forms
Wye-delta starters
Control relays (four versions: 4NO, 3NO-1NC, 2NO-2NC, 4NC)
C-2000 contactors and starters give you greater possibilities, to
Diverse uses and universal acceptance offer extensive product flexibility:
This line’s world-class technology
adapts to worldwide industrial market needs.
C-2000 components meet
international standards (including UL, CSA, CE Mark and IEC-947) for global applicability.
Terminals feature dual (U.S./
European) markings, making them ideal for domestic and overseas use.
A universal nomenclature system
simplifies ordering. Whether you are importing or exporting, designing or supplying, modifying or replacing, you can use the same catalog number.
AC coils (both 50Hz and 60Hz
versions) and DC coils are available for a wide range of voltages for flexibility.
On 5-25 hp contactors, pozi-drive screws accept any screwdriver
5-75 hp contactors can be either DIN-rail or screw mounted
Fast, easy coil changeout for the entire line (quick snap clips for 5-15 hp)
Easier Installation
A long list of attributes enhances product adaptability.
Lower Inventory Requirements
C-2000 devices are innovatively designed to lower inventory needs, thereby reducing costs.
Side-mount auxiliary contact blocks fit the entire range of contactors.
With only two versions of individual front-mount auxiliary contact blocks (available for 5-75 hp contactors), you can make all possible NO/NC combinations for signaling and sequencing control circuits.
Because control relays accept contactor accessories, there is no need to stock
two different accessory lines.
Just two mechanical interlocks are required across the
entire line, reducing inventory requirements.
BROADER FEATURES
Increased Space Savings
The compact and modular design of the C-2000 line maximizes use of panelboard space.
Up to six front-mount auxiliary contact blocks and one side-mount auxiliary contact block can be added to contactors in the 30-75 hp range.
Overload relays mount directly on 5-125 hp contactors to reduce space requirements.
Safety Protection
Contactors in the 5-75 hp range have built-in finger and back-of-hand protection.
Push button and flexible cable allow reset from a distance
Pneumatic timers can be used in conjunction with side-mount auxiliary contact blocks
More Flexible Configurations
In the 5-75 hp range, each contactor accepts both front- and side-mount auxiliary contact blocks
Easy attachment of accessories
broaden your horizons around the world and into the future
Unbeatable Performance
A built-in electronic actuation module, standard on
100-500 hp contactors, achieves unequaled electrical endurance, eliminates bounce and hum, virtually eradicates audible noise, makes more efficient use of power, and operates at a low coil burden to keep the control voltage at normal levels. This unique electronic actuator also provides enormous flexibility: AC or DC power may be supplied to the coil without customized configuration or a coil cut-out switch.
The BEL02 mechanical interlock includes 2NC contacts providing both
mechanical and cross electrical interlocking.
Surge suppression is built into the electronic control module inside
100-500 hp contactors. Surge suppressors are available in three versions (RC filter, varistor and diode) for 5-75 hp contactors to provide protection to control circuit components when coil is de-energized.
For energy savings, noise reduction, undervoltage protection
or loss-of-power protection, contactors in the 5-75 hp range can be fitted with an easy-to-use, snap-on mechanical latch.
Reliable Operation
C-2000 contactors feature long electrical life (1-2 million operations) and long mechanical life (10-20 million operations). And every device is 100% tested before leaving the factory.
Note: Horsepower ranges listed throughout reflect 460V ratings.
Double-clamp terminal accepts two differently sized wires; both control and power wires can be inserted
Both AC and DC power can be applied to 100-500 hp contactors
