Solar Tax Credit
Homeowners who purchase a solar powered gate operator manufactured by DoorKing, Inc. after December 31, 2008, may qualify for a 30% Federal Tax Credit off the installed cost of the system. This tax credit is available for the installed
cost of the solar powered gate operator on the homeowner’s Federal tax return.
The solar powered Gate Operator is considered a "Qualified Solar Electric Property" authorized by the Internal Revenue Code Section 25D under the definition provided in paragraph d.2 and as such qualifies for the Residential Energy Efficient Tax Credit. You will need to complete Federal Form 5695 and attach it to your personal tax return in order to claim this credit. If you have any questions regarding this Federal Tax Credit, Form 5695 or its instructions, please consult your tax adviser. You should also check with your state tax agency to see if your state offers any additional solar energy tax incentives.
What is Covered:
The solar system tax credit applies to the total installed cost of the solar gate operator system. This includes the related solar panel, gate operator, solar control box, access control device, remote controls, obstruction detection device(s), etc.

Homeowners will need to use The Federal Tax Credit form 5695, Residential Energy Efficient Property Credit
Homeowners will need to provide a copy of the "Manufacturer's Certification for Credit"
The dwelling must be located in the United States and used as a residence by the taxpayer

24 Volt DC Swing Gate Actuators
Swing gate actuators are designed to operate vehicular swing gates in residential applications where side room is minimal. These actuators install directly on the swing gate and operate on 24 Volt DC power. Control boxes are designed for both single and dual (bi-parting) gate operation and are powered by 120 VAC or 24 VDC with Solar power input.

24 Volt DC Swing Gate Operators
The DKS Model 6004 mounts directly on the gate column while the DKS 6400 installs in-ground making it virtually invisible. These units operate on 24 Volt DC power. Control boxes are designed for both single and dual (bi-parting) gate operation and are powered by 120 VAC or 24 VDC with Solar power input.

These operators can be installed on mounting posts or directly onto a concrete mounting-pad. When ordering, choose both an operator AND an operator mounting kit. Secondary operators are used in bi-parting (dual) gate applications and are commanded from and powered from the primary operator. Secondary operators cannot be used as a stand-alone device.

Adjustable Limit DC Swing Gate Operator
The model 6024’s main power source is 115 or 230 Volt (switch selectable) single-phase AC power. The operational voltage of the operator is 24 Volt DC and includes built-in battery backup (7.5 AH battery x 2) that provides continued gate operation if the main source power is lost. This operator is designed to operate vehicular swing gates in residential and light commercial applications.
