IMPORTANT: The instrument panel
cluster is designed to let you know
about many important aspects of
your vehicle’s operation. It is important to read your Owner Manual and
become familiar with the information
being relayed to you by the lights,
gauges and indicators, as well as
what action can be taken to ensure
safety and to prevent damage.

Getting to Know Your Corvette
Driver Information Center (DIC)
The DIC informs you of the status of
many of your vehicle’s systems and is
used to display driver personalization
features and warning/status messages.
The display is located at the bottom of
the instrument panel cluster.
The following DIC controls are located
on the instrument panel to the right of
the steering wheel.
(Fuel Information): Press this but-
ton to display fuel information.
(Gauge Information): Press this
button to display engine gauge information and tire pressure.
TRIP: Press this button to display the
odometer, trip information and engine
oil life.
OPTION: Press this button to scroll
through the personalization features that
are available on your vehicle.
RESET: Press this button to reset system functions when displayed or
acknowledge messages on the DIC.
This button is also used to select personalization features within Options.
Warnings and Messages
If a problem is sensed in one of your
vehicle’s systems, a warning or message will appear in the DIC display.
Possible warnings or messages include:
ABS ACTIVE, LOW TIRE PRESSURE,
and DOOR AJAR (see your Owner
Manual for a complete list of possible
warnings and messages).
After a warning or message appears,
press the Reset button to clear the display screen for further use. Remember,
pressing Reset only makes the message
disappear; it does not resolve the
problem.
Note: Your vehicle’s warnings and messages provide critical information that
can prevent damage to your vehicle.
Review your Owner Manual to become
familiar with the information displayed
and the action required.

KEYLESS ACCESS AND
PUSH BUTTON START
Keyless Access Transmitter
Your Corvette features Keyless Access
and Push Button Start. You can keep
the Keyless Access transmitter in a
pocket or purse and operate the doors,
trunk and ignition. The transmitter communicates with the Corvette’s computer
system via antennas.
See Section 2 of your Owner Manual.

Opening the Doors
To open the doors, simply touch the pad
located at the rear edge of each door.
Once the pad is pressed, the doors
unlock and open if the Keyless Access
transmitter is within three feet of the door.

Starting and Stopping
Your Engine
To Start the Engine:
• Depress the brake pedal on automatic transmission-equipped vehicles or
the clutch pedal on manual transmission-equipped vehicles.
• Press the top of the Start button,
located on the instrument panel to the
right of the steering wheel.
The engine will start if the Keyless
Access transmitter is in the car.
To Stop the Engine:
• Move the shift lever to Park (P) on
automatic transmission-equipped
vehicles or to Reverse (R) on manual
transmission-equipped vehicles.
• Press the Off/ACC button (the bottom
part of the Start button).
IMPORTANT: The electrical system
will turn off only if the shifter is in PARK
on automatic transmission-equipped
vehicles or in REVERSE on manual
transmission-equipped vehicles; otherwise the vehicle will transition to
Accessory mode which could cause
battery rundown.

Leaving the Vehicle
Open the door by pressing the button at
the front of the armrest. When exiting
the vehicle, take the Keyless Access
transmitter with you. You can lock your
vehicle using one of three methods:
• Lock the doors with the power door
lock switch located on the door panel,
step out, and close the door.
• Press the Lock button on the
transmitter after you step out of the
vehicle.
• Program your vehicle for Passive
Locking, covered under
Personalization Features.

Getting to Know Your Corvette
Opening and Closing the
Hatch/Trunk
Your Corvette provides three convenient
ways of opening the hatch/trunk:
• Touch the pad located above the
license plate (the Keyless Access
transmitter must be within three feet
of the touchpad).
• Press the Trunk Release button located to the left of the steering wheel.
• Press the Trunk Release button on
the Keyless Access transmitter.

Loss of Power
Loss of Vehicle Electrical Power
If your vehicle has lost battery power,
you can open the driver’s door manually.
If Outside the Vehicle:
1. Insert your master key into the lock
cylinder located above the rear
license plate and turn to open the
trunk.
2. Manually lift the trunk lid.
3. Pull the door release handle located
on the driver’s side of the trunk.
The driver’s door can now be opened.
If Inside the Vehicle:
• Pull the door release handle located
on the floor next to the seat.
Loss of Keyless Access Transmitter
Battery Power
Under normal use, the battery in your
transmitter should last about three
years. If the transmitter battery becomes
weak, it may cause the Driver
Information Center to display a “No Fobs
Detected” message when you try to start
the vehicle.
If the Transmitter Battery Is Weak:
1. Place the transmitter in the glove box
transmitter pocket with the buttons
facing toward the passenger side of
the vehicle.
