What Efficiency Means to You

These furnaces use gas to provide war m, comfortable heat for your home. You
can compare efficiencies of different furnace models by checking the AFUE
(Annual Fuel U tilization Efficiency) ratings, ava ilable through your Carrier dealer
or manufacturer web sit es. Using these ratings is a lot like miles per gall on for
your car – the higher the number, the more efficient the product and the greater
potential for savings. Actual furnace performance will vary depending on your
home, comfort preferenc es and more.

The Performance 96 gas furnace achie ves up to 96.5%
AFUE, converting up to 96.5 cen ts of every do llar spent
on gas into he ated air for your home. In addition, the
Perfo rmance 92 gas furnace achieves up to 93.0% AFUE,
converting up to 93.0 cents of every dollar s pent on gas in
to heated air for your home. Standard furnaces can waste up to
20 cents or mo re per do llar.
