Introducing a new quality standard
for installation projectors.
Sharp images, cutting edge technology.
With native WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels) and Full HD capability (1080p),
the WUX4000 redenes what’s achievable
with a compact installation projector.
Canon’s world-class lens design and LCOS technology delivers photo-like precision, seamless lattice-free video with little or no after-image and smooth colour gradation – but without the price tag associated with expensive three-chip DLP devices.
Thanks to Canon’s AISYS (Aspectual Illumination System) optical system, the WUX4000 achieves 4000 lumens despite its compact dimensions; while a 1000:1 contrast ratio ensures vivid colours and deep blacks.
The ultimate in versatility.
The WUX4000 offers a choice of three easily exchangeable lenses: each featuring high resolution, less than 0.1% distortion, low chromatic aberration and near-imperceptible
ghosting and are.
Canon’s state of the art lens technology means the WUX4000 undergoes just a 7% reduction in brightness when used with its wide angle single focus lens, and no reduction at all with its telephoto zoom lens. This makes the WUX4000 ideal for projecting bright and life-like images in a large venue.
Control at your fingertips
For the ultimate exibility, the WUX4000
comes equipped with a wide choice of interfaces. DVI-D and HDMI ports let you project HD images from PC, Macintosh or Blu-ray devices; and when the audio in/out connections are in use, switching the image source results in the sound automatically changing too.
The audio output terminal makes it straightforward to adjust volume levels as well as visual settings using the WUX4000’s remote control: a bonus in larger venues which frequently employ an external audio
amplier and loudspeakers.
A built-in RJ-45 port makes it simple to monitor and control the projector remotely via the network. The WUX4000 also supports the PJLink protocol, enabling straightforward control and monitoring with compatible systems.

Next-generation technology –
that draws on our 70 year heritage.
Canon began life in 1937 as a specialist lens manufacturer. Today, it’s the quality of Canon lenses that allows the power of the WUX4000’s advanced technology to shine through.
Why LCOS?
Combining the best of LCD and DLP projection technologies, LCOS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) panel technology uses liquid crystals in place of the individual mirrors found in DLP panels. The result? Exceptionally fast and distortion-free WUXGA (1920 x 1200) images – without any unwelcome ‘lattice’ or ‘rainbow’ effects.
LCOS: smart technology, beautiful images
DLP projector
• Frequent colour breakup (the ‘rainbow effect’)
• Whites are bright, yet colours can appear weak
• Poor colour gradation – banding can occur
Enhanced six axis colour adjustment.
The WUX4000 features independent control over brightness
as well as hue and saturation: so it’s easy to ne-tune individual
colours within an image.
An extra colour dimension.
A new 3D-LUT (Look Up Table) debuts in the WUX4000. With a dramatically increased number of setting points, the new LUT enables the WUX4000 to deliver more precise colour reproduction and richer colour gradations.
LCD projector
• Gridlines are clearly visible
• Contrast is limited
WUX4000 (LCOS)
• Seamless images, with no lattice effect
• No unpleasant rainbow effect
• Good contrast
• Smooth, natural colour reproduction
Before colour adjustment
The image colour cannot be expressed correctly.
Colour adjustment by new 6 axis colour adjustment + new 3D-LUT
Adjustment of a single colour is possible while the overall colour tone remains natural.

Picture perfect at the touch of a button.
To combine the best in versatility and convenience, the WUX4000 offers a range of image modes, plus ve user presets. This allows the presenter to quickly nd the optimum quality for the room conditions and presentation material. Within each preset, the operator can
further ne tune brightness, contrast, sharpness, gamma and colour correction.

Brightness: some enlightening facts.
Some projectors offer greater brightness than the WUX4000 in their
specication, but Canon’s LCOS technology and lens options deliver
superior real-world performance.
Unlike many single-chip DLP projectors, the WUX4000 operates at 4000 lumens with both whites and colours (when using the standard zoom lens). The result? Vivid colour images that utilise the WUX4000’s impressive 4000 lumens Colour Brightness rating.
The AISYS advantage.
At the heart of the WUX4000, you’ll nd Canon’s AISYS optical
technology. This works in combination with the LCOS imaging engine to deliver a more powerful blend of brightness and contrast than many comparable installation projectors: including contrast ratios of up to 1000:1, plus vivid, lifelike colours and rich, pure blacks.

Advanced lens technology:
images that wow your audience.
As you’d expect from a world-leading innovator in imaging technology, Canon’s superior lens quality sets the WUX4000 apart.
Fit for every purpose.
With a choice of standard zoom, wide single focus and long zoom lenses, the WUX4000 can project up to a class-leading 14.2 metres, with no loss of brightness or image resolution. The lens can be easily interchanged as required on-site.
Quick to adapt.
With -15% to +55% vertical lens shift and ± 10% horizontal shift, the WUX4000 is superbly adaptable to the toughest of installation projection conditions. Even using maximum lens shift, distortion, aspect ratio and brightness remain unaffected.
The beauty is constant.
New UD (Ultra Low Dispersion) technology features in each of the WUX4000’s three exchangeable lenses. This drives down chromatic aberration to almost nil, leaving only vivid images with negligible colour drift.
An in-built adjustment mechanism keeps colour drift to nearly zero:
the same level you’d expect to nd in a xed-lens projector.
