Intended use

This appliance is intended for domestic use only. Use the appliance only for processing normal quantities of food and for normal amounts of time for domestic use.

This appliance is suitable for mixing liquid or semi-solid food, for cutting/chopping raw fruit and vegetables and for puréeing food. It must not be used for processing other substances or objects.

Additional applications are possible if the accessories approved by the manufacturer are used. Only use the appliance with approved genuine parts and accessories. Never use the accessory parts for other appliances.

Only use the appliance indoors at room temperature and up to 2000 m above sea level.

Important safety information

Read and follow the instruction manual carefully and keep for later reference! Enclose these instructions when you give this appliance to someone else. If the instructions for correct use of the appliance are not observed, the manufacturer’s liability for any resulting damage will be excluded.

This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use

When the appliance has been switched off, the blade continues running for a short time.

■■ If processing hot liquids, steam escapes through the funnel in the lid. You should always use one hand to hold the lid firmly

in place while you work, but don’t place your hand over the filling opening!

■■ Never process food that is hotter than 50°C.

■■ We recommend that the appliance is never switched on for longer than is necessary to process the ingredients. Do not operate

at no-load.

For the preparation of fruits and other ingredients into juices and smoothies. The insert ensures that pips and other solid ingredients are filtered out and do not get into the drinks.

Operation

Preparation

■■ Before operating the appliance and accessories for the first time, clean thoroughly; see “Cleaning and servicing”.

■■ Place motor block on a smooth, level and clean work surface.

■■ Unwind the cable to the required length.

Blender attachment

The blender is suitable for

–– blending and frothing liquids,

–– cutting and chopping raw fruit, vegetables nuts and chocolate,

–– puréeing soups, cooked fruit and vegetables,

–– preparing mayonnaise and sauces.

en Operation

The appliance is suitable for preparing the following quantities:

WWRisk of injury from sharp blades / rotating drive!

Never place fingers in the attached blender. Never operate the appliance without a completely assembled blender or attached lid! Do not remove or attach blender until the drive has stopped. When the appliance has been switched off, the blade continues running briefly.

WWRisk of scalding!

If processing hot liquids, steam escapes through the funnel in the lid. Do not add hot or frothing liquid.

Warning!

Never operate an empty blender. Always work with a completely assembled appliance. Screw the blender fully onto the motor block. Place motor block on a smooth, level and clean work surface.

■■ Attach blender jug by turning it all the way clockwise (b).

■■ Add ingredients.

■■ Attach lid and lock by rotating it in a clockwise direction. Ensure that it is completely locked!  

The cover can be attached in 2 positions.

–– with outlet opening forwards for pouring out the blended ingredients.

–– with outlet opening backwards, container closed.

■■ Insert measuring cup into feed tube and turn it clockwise.

■■ Insert the mains plug.

■■ Switch on the appliance. To do this, press the switch on the required setting and hold down.

■■ Grip the edge of the lid while operating the blender. Do not reach over the feed tube or spout!

Recommended operating speed

ÅLow speeds Å for ...   pureeing soft fruit and

vegetables, making mayonnaise.

ÅÅHigh speeds ÅÅ for ...   soups, smoothies, raw, hard fruit and vegetables, cocktails, milkshakes.

Add more ingredients

■■ Release switch. Wait until the drive comes to a standstill.

Either

■■ Remove lid.

■■ Add more ingredients. or

■■ Take out measuring cup.

■■ Add liquids and solid (fairly small) ingredients through the feed tube in the lid.

■■ Switch on appliance again.

Working with the smoothie insert

With this insert it is particularly easy to make smoothies made of fresh fruits, milk, soya milk, yoghurt and juices.

■■ Attach blender jug to the drive on the motor block. Mark on the jug points to mark (a) on the motor block.

■■ Attach blender jug by turning it all the way clockwise (b).

■■ Insert the smoothie insert into the blender jug.

■■ Attach lid with outlet opening forwards (for pouring out the smoothie later) and lock by turning it clockwise. Ensure that it is completely locked!

■■ Put ingredients through the feed tube into the blender jug; chop up fruit beforehand if required.

Warning!

Do not put large, hard ingredients in the blender jug, e. g. stones from avocados or plums.

■■ Insert measuring cup into feed tube and turn it clockwise.

■■ Insert the mains plug.

■■ Switch on the appliance. To do this, press the switch on setting ÅÅ and hold down.

After using the appliance

■■ Release switch.

■■ Remove mains plug.

■■ Remove the blender by rotating it in an anti-clockwise direction.

■■ Pour the contents out of the blender jug through the opening in the lid.

■■ Take the lid off the blender jug. ■■ Empty blender jug.

■■ Clean all parts, see “Cleaning and servicing”.

Grinding attachment

for chopping up dry, hard ingredients, e. g. coffee beans, pepper corns, sugar, poppy seeds, chili, nutmeg.

Mixed drinks and baby food made of fruit and vegetables can also be made (max. 400 ml).

Do not remove or attach grinder attachment until the appliance has been switched off and the drive has come to a standstill.

■■ Put down the grinder attachment jug with the opening face up.

■■ Add food, which is to be cut, in the jug. Note MAX mark on the jug!

■■ Insert blade holder into the jug and lock by turning it anti-clockwise.

■■ Turn over grinder attachment.

■■ Attach grinder attachment to the drive on the motor block. Mark on the jug points to mark (a) on the motor block.

■■ Attach grinder attachment by turning it all the way clockwise (b).

■■ Switch on the appliance. To do this, press the switch on setting ÅÅ and hold down.

Cleaning and servicing

Note: The longer the appliance remains switched on, the finer the ingredients are ground.

After using the appliance

■■ Release switch.

■■ Remove mains plug.

■■ Remove the grinding attachment by rotating it in an anti-clockwise direction.

■■ Turn over grinder attachment.

■■ Rotate the blade holder in a clockwise direction and remove.

■■ Empty jug or place lid on jug.

■■ Clean all parts, see “Cleaning and servicing”.

Cleaning and servicing

The appliance requires no maintenance! Thorough cleaning guarantees a long service life.

WWRisk of electric shock!

Never immerse the motor block in water and never hold under running water and do not clean in the dishwasher.

WWRisk of injury from sharp blades!

Do not touch blade with bare hands. Clean them with a brush.

Warning!

Do not use abrasive cleaning agents. Surfaces may be damaged.

Tips:

–– Preferably clean the parts immediately after use. This will prevent residue from drying on and attacking the plastic (e. g. by essential oils in herbs).

–– Pour a little water and washing-up liquid into the attached blender. Switch on for a few seconds. Pour out the water and rinse the blender with clean water.

–– If processing e. g. carrots and red cabbage the plastic parts will become discoloured by a red film which can be removed with a few drops of cooking oil.

Cleaning the motor block

■■ Remove mains plug.

■■ Wipe motor block with a damp cloth. If required, use a little detergent.

■■ Then wipe dry.

Cleaning the blender attachment

The blender jug, smoothie insert, lid and measuring cup are dishwasher-safe.

Cleaning the grinder attachment

Do not clean blade holder in the dishwasher, but under running water using a brush. Do not leave in water!

Jug and lid are dishwasher-proof.

Troubleshooting

WWRisk of injury!

Before rectifying a fault, pull out the mains plug.

Fault:

Appliance does not start or appliance switches off during operation.

Possible cause:

Attachment has become detached.

Remedial action:

■■ Release switch.

■■ Correctly attach the attachment and screw on all the way.

■■ Switch the appliance on again.

Important information

If the fault cannot be eliminated, please contact customer service (see customer service addresses at the end of this booklet).

Recipes

Quantities adequate for 2 portions.

Purification and detoxification smoothie

–– 1 green apple (ca. 80 g)

–– Juice of one lemon (approx. 20 g)

–– 20 g kale

–– 20 g celery

–– 10 g coriander leaves

–– 10 g linseeds

–– 1 g ground cinnamon

–– 300 g cooled water

■■ Peel the apple and cut into pieces. ■■ Cut celery into pieces.

■■ Put all ingredients in the blender attachment and blend until the drink is thick and creamy.

Energy drink

–– 240 g low fat milk

–– ½ banana (approx. 50 g)

–– 30 g sugar

–– 20 g cocoa powder

■■ Cut the banana into pieces and freeze overnight.

■■ Put all ingredients in the blender attachment and blend.

Pea and apple baby food

–– 100 g frozen peas

–– 100 g frozen soya beans

–– 1 apple (approx. 100 g)

–– 220 g apple juice

■■ Peel the apple, core and cut into pieces. ■■ Put peas and soya beans in a colander

and rinse under running water.

■■ Put apple, peas and soya beans in boiling water. Boil for 3 minutes.

■■ Put the boiled ingredients in a colander and rinse under running water. Then leave to cool down in the ice bath for 3 minutes.

■■ Put the boiled ingredients and the apple juice in the blender attachment and blend until the baby food is thick and creamy.

■■ Pour into an ice cube tray and freeze.

Creamy avocado baby food

–– 1 apple or pear (approx. 100 g)

–– ½ avocado (approx. 70 g)

–– 50 g water

■■ Peel the apple (or pear), core and cut into pieces.

■■ Put the pieces and a little water in a small pan and cook slowly on a low flame until the pieces of fruit are soft.

■■ Peel the avocado, cut in half and remove the stone. Cut into pieces.

■■ Put the boiled fruit pieces and the avocado in the blender attachment and blend until the baby food is thick and creamy.

Amaretto butter cookies

–– 220 g soft butter

–– 240 g flour

–– 200 g sugar

–– 105 g almonds

–– 1,5 g salt

–– 1 egg

–– 8-12 g amaretto liqueur

–– 6 g finely grated orange peel

■■ Chop up the almonds in the grinder attachment on setting ÅÅ for

20 seconds.

■■ Mix butter and sugar in a bowl until a smooth mixture is formed.

■■ Add the egg yolk, salt, amaretto and orange peel and mix thoroughly.

■■ Then add the flour and mix thoroughly. ■■ Distribute the dough evenly

on an ungreased baking tray (approx. 25 x 40 cm, non-stick).

■■ Beat the egg white until frothy and distribute over the dough.

■■ Distribute the almonds evenly over the beaten egg whites.

■■ Put the baking tray into a preheated oven (150 °C).  

Bake for approx. 45 minutes until the cookies are golden brown.

■■ Take the baking tray out of the oven and cut the cookies into squares (approx. 5 x 5 cm) while they are still warm.

Jangan sekali-kali meletakkan jari dalam pengadun yang terpasang. Jangan sekali-kali mengendalikan perkakas tanpa pengadun yang dipasang dengan lengkap atau tudung tertutup! Jangan menanggalkan atau memasang pengadun sehingga pemacu telah berhenti. Apabila perkakas dimatikan, bilah akan terus bergerak sejenak.

Apabila memproses cecair panas, stim keluar melalui corong pada tudung. Jangan memasukkan cecair panas atau berbuih.

Amaran!

Jangan sekali-kali mengendalikan pengadun yang kosong. Sentiasa bekerja dengan perkakas yang dipasang dengan lengkap. Skrukan pengadun sepenuhnya ke dalam blok motor. Letakkan blok motor pada permukaan kerja yang rata, datar dan bersih.
