CAUTION
GENERAL
- Read all instructions carefully for safe operation and installation.
- All electrical connections must be in accordance with local and national electrical code (N.E.C) standards.
- Remove the fixture and the mounting package from the box and make sure that no parts are missing by
referencing the illustrations on the installation instruction. Please contact Blackjack Lighting if any parts
are missing or damaged.
- This product is suitable for damp locations.
INSTALLATION
PREPARATION
1. Carefully remove the fixture from its box. Disassemble the canopy by removing each of the three side
thumbscrews(14), and then remove the two support screws(12) located on top of the wiring barrier plate(13).
2. Adjust the length of the electrical wire(21) and the support cable(20) as required. Adjust the safety stop(19) on the
support cable(20) by loosening the set screw(16) with the included Allen wrench(22) and positioning the safety stop
close the bottom of the decorative canopy cover(11). Re-tighten the safety stop set screw(16) to firmly lock in place.
Reinstall the two support screws(10) to lock the wiring barrier plate(11) to the decoration canopy cover(14) (see Fig.1).
3. Either tightly wind the excess electrical wire and support cable around the u-bracket(15) inside of the canopy
cover(11) (recommended), or cut the excess electrical wire to the proper size and re-splice the wire to the
correct polarity low voltage black or yellow wire coming from the driver. Note: The red wire(+) of driver goes
with the electrical wire's red wire(+), the yellow wire(-) of driver goes with the electrical wire's black wire(-).
MOUNTING
4. Pull the white and black supply wires(2&4) and the house ground wire(6) out from the outlet box(1). Thread them
through the large hole in the center of the ceiling plate(10). Hold the ceiling plate(10) over the outlet box(1). Insert the
mounting screws(9) through the slots on the ceiling plate(10). Then tightly secure the mounting screws(9) into the outlet
box(1). Temporarily hang fixture using the lifting rope as a support. Attach the loop(18) on the lifting rope to the
hook(17)(secured on the ceiling plate(10)).
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
5. Using the wire connectors(8), connect the white supply wire(2) from outlet box(1) to the white fixture wire(3); connect
the black supply wire(4) from outlet box(1) to the black fixture wire(5), and connect the house ground wire(6) to the
fixture ground wire(7). Carefully tuck all the wires back into the outlet box(1).(As shown in Fig.2)
FINAL ASSEMBLY
6. For the final installation of the fixture, lift the canopy cover(11) over the ceiling plate(10), align the holes on the sides of
the canopy cover(11) with the holes of the ceiling plate(10). Then insert and tighten the three thumbscrews(14).
