What’s a Line-Array?
Although line array systems have
been around for more than 50 years,
they have only come into prominence
over the past few years, mainly due to
their use in large-scale concert venues.
Vertical line-arrays are created by stacking
or suspending identical loudspeaker
cabinets so the LF (Low-Frequency) and
HF (High-Frequency) drivers, are placed in
exact vertical alignment with each other.
This enables them to work together to
send sound waves much further than
a single driver could. The conguration
is designed so that you end up with a
column each of LF and HF drivers.
By using specially designed
waveguides or horns, horizontal
sound dispersion can be very wide,
while keeping the vertical alignment
extremely tight. The resulting sound
is smoother, with much more even
dispersion than that of traditional
horn-loaded loudspeaker systems.

BEHRINGER ELX Series loudspeakers
provide amazingly brilliant sound,
with rich and deep low-end,
smear-free mids and sparkling highs.
Capable of generating extremely high
sound pressure levels, ELX loudspeakers
utilize only the highest-quality
components and are constructed of
void-free birch plywood. The handmade
enclosures are then nished with a
special black or white DuraCoat nish,
recognized by many as the toughest
nish on the market.

Custom-Designed Transducers
Let's face it; the transducers
(woofers and tweeters) are the only part
of a sound system you actually hear,
so we don't cut any corners. While some
of our competitors are content to buy othe-shelf transducers and plug them into
their boxes, we custom-design and build
our transducers from scratch. This enables
us to control the quality, and frankly,
make better components, such as the
Kevlar-coned, neodymium LF and HF
compression drivers we deploy in each
and every ELX Series enclosure.
System Scalability
By their very nature, vertical
line-arrays are ideal when it comes to
system scalability. This allows a venue
to custom-tailor a system specically to
meet their needs. Should requirements
change, more enclosures and ampliers
can be added to expand the system.
Specially designed ying hardware allows
for multiple subs and mid/high packs to
be own in each array.
To Fly or Not to Fly
Venues with high ceilings, such as
sports arenas, concert halls and large
churches, etc., often prefer to “y” the
sound system. By suspending the
speaker array high above the audience,
oor space is maximized and nothing
comes between the audience and
the performance. Rigging points are
integrated into all ELX Series enclosures
for use with dedicated ying kits,
which we generously over-engineer
for the utmost in safety. All of our
line-arrays oer variable curvature for
custom-tailoring the sound coverage to
your specic venue. Alternately, the ELX
system can be stacked in front of the
performance area, if you have the
available oor space.
ELX215S
The ELX215S dual 15" bass-reex
subwoofer is the perfect complement
to the ELX82 mid-high pack. With its
powerful 15" woofers (with 4" voice coil),
the ELX215S is capable of frequencies as
low as 34 Hz and has a power handling
capacity of 2400-Watts per enclosure.
Maximum SPL is 131 dB. The ELX215S
weighs 180 lbs. (81.5 kg).
ELX212S
The ELX42 dual 12" bass-reex
subwoofer is the perfect complement
to the ELX42 mid/high pack. With its
powerful 12" woofers (with 4" voice coils),
the ELX212S is capable of frequencies as
low as 38 Hz and has a power handling
capacity of 1200-Watts per enclosure.
Maximum SPL is 126 dB and the ELX212S
weighs just 98 lbs. (44.5 kg).
ELX82
The ELX82 is an ultra-compact dual
8" line-array system with a power handling
capacity of 1300-Watts per enclosure.
The neodymium LF drivers feature special
deformation-resistant Kevlar cones that
provide bulletproof bass and superbly
accurate midrange. HF duties are
handled by two waveguide-mounted
1" neodymium compression drivers
with a combined dispersion pattern
of 100° H x 10° V. The ELX82 enclosure
weighs 61 lbs. (27.5 kg).
ELX42
The ELX42 is an ultra-compact dual
4" line-array system with a power handling
capacity of 550-Watts per enclosure.
The neodymium LF drivers feature special
deformation-resistant Kevlar cones that
provide bulletproof bass and superbly
accurate midrange. HF duties are handled
by a waveguide-mounted 1" neodymium
compression driver with a broad dispersion
pattern of 120° H x 10° V. The ELX42
enclosure weighs just 21 lbs. (9.6 kg).
