2. Warranty Check and Visual Inspection
2.1 Warranty confirmation of L1:
1) IMEI sticker check: a) The IMEI number MUST be the same with the one on the IMEI sticker. If not, it‟s out of warranty
policy
b) IMEI label should not be

2) Humidity sticker: Liquid detection on humidity sticker.
2.2 Visual mechanical check:

Bumps (diameter > 1mm) on any surface, including front casing, decorate frame, battery
cover, touch Lens, keypad, etc.
4) Scratch Scratches (length > 3mm) on any surface, including the front casing, decorate frame, battery
cover, touch Lens, keypad, etc.
5) Distortion Bend, twisted or crushed on the h/s, cover/casing or connectors, etc.
6) Broken Touch broken, casing/cover broken, etc.
7) Dropped Keypad tears off, touch lens, connectors dropped, etc.
8) Gap External physical damage relating to abnormal use, like front case and frame opened
9) Others
Damage caused by disassembly ,wrong part assembly, lost of components  Use in abnormal environment like high temperature cause plastic melts
2.3 Pretest
1) Check that the SIM card is set correctly.
2) Insert the battery.
3) Power on the cell phone.
4) If the cell phone can not power on, visually check the condition of the battery connector.
Replace it if necessary.
5) If the cell phone asks to input NCK code, which means it is SIM locked, and can only be worked
with dedicated SIM card. Use the correct SIM card.
6) Enter the phone code if necessary.
7) If power on, test step by step with the auto test code:
Press *#2886# in dial screen and select “OK” or “START” to begin the testing

3. Online software update
It is authorized to download software in level 1 repair center for the handset which needs to update. The “SoftwareUpgrade 4.7” is a software upgrade application. Handset Software can be downloaded from TS website via it. TS Website: https://css.tclmobile.cn/. SoftwareUpgrade 4.7 is for one touch 282 while 4.86 is for MTC 268. RPFPG1801 can use SoftwareUpgrade 4.98.
3.1 Below equipments is requested when download
A handset with full charged battery. PC with windows system. A downloading cable.

4.3 Software update procedure
1) Download HDT application for one touch 282(A) product from web as below URL https://css.tclmobile.cn/Web_Skill/showfile.aspx?id=19121
2) Install it on the local computer.
3) Download handset software (main code/perso/Commercial DB) from server and install it under the default path.
4) Plug the socket onto the bench and make sure well connected.
5) Plug one touch 282(A) onto the socket and make sure well connected.
6) Connect power supply to the 12V connector.
7) Connect jig to the computer via USB cable.
8) Turn on the +12V switch and LED will turn on red.
9) Find the D:\HDT\IMEI\Delivery, and put IMEI file in it;
10) Start HDT application by double click “HDT.exe” in the folder of C:/HDT/Bin;

1) The bench supports 3pcs channel downloading, but when you press the red button, at most 2 in one time.
2) Change for handset socket when you need handset downloading;
3) The socket can be replaced when you want to download other MTK product without change the bench.
5. Disassembly and assembly one touch 282(A)
5.1 Disassembly tool
You may use the following tools during the disassembly and reassembly procedure:
Plastic Wedge Screw driver Tweezers Soldering iron Hot air gun Camera Jig Hook Knife
Please refer to APPENDIX 1 and find out the picture of the tool.
5.2 Disassembly process
The disassembly procedure of One Touch 282 stated below. This model should only be disassembled from bottom to top.MTC 268 & RPFPG1801 are the same.
Step 1: Remove the 6 screws from the decorate frame by screw driver.
Step 2: Separate the decorate frame from the main PCBA by plastic wedge.

Step3: Remove keypad and receiver.
Step4: Separate the side key and then remove the PCBA from Front frame.
Note: please use brush to smear the lube at the undersurface of slide keys before assembling a new furnished frame. And move the slide keys back and forth (at least once) after smearing the lube. Otherwise, the slide keys can work but maybe hard to move.
Step5: Separate the LCD rubber/vibrator/speaker/SOS rubber.

Key beep and melody problem
Check the contact on the PCBA (dirty or oxidized)

In case the LEVEL 2 repair can‟t solve the problem, or if the board is damaged, exchange the board.
7. PCBA exchange
If Level 2 repair does not solve the failure, the PCBA will be scraped overseas.
8. Other component exchange
The other components exchange such as
1) LCD module
2) Keypad
3) Vibrator
4) Receiver
5) Speaker
6) Microphone
7) Camera
8) FPC connection
9) Audio connector
10) Camera connector
11) Other related mechanical components
Please follow the detail steps 5.3 (Disassembly and assembly process). But need to be very careful to handle the components with related special tool or jig (especially replacing
new components) It is better to handle it with plastic tools (plastic tweezers and wedge etc.). Besides operator must wear anti-static gloves, fingertips or wear static loop during the whole process of
components exchange.

11.1 Other mandatory equipments
1) Final test kit (charger, battery, back cover)
2) Bench and socket
12. Packaging Requirement
1) PCBA shipment requirement:
Anti Electro-Static. Avoid PCBA are laid to overlap each other. Against press outside package.
2) Solution 1: Each PCBA is packaged by shield bag, put each PCBA into each cave of the carton (refer to picture below).
3) Solution 2: Stack by special trays (15 trays maximum), put empty trays to fill space inside the carton and all trays should be bound tightly in order to avoid PCBA move out (see picture below).
