Allgemeine Hinweise
■■ Wassermessgeräte sind Präzisionsgeräte. Vor Stößen und Erschütterungen schützen. Frostfrei, kühl und trocken lagern.
■■ Die Dichtflächen sind mit Gewindeschutzkappen versehen und vor Beschädigung geschützt.
■■ Kontrollieren Sie vor Montagebeginn:
––dass die Dichtflächen eben und frei von Beschädigungen wie Kerben, Furchen o.ä. sind.
––alle Angaben auf dem Zifferblatt lesbar sind*.
––der Zähler in Bauart, Größe, Temperaturbereich und Druckstufe zur Einbaustelle passt.
■■ Bei belastetem Wasser empfehlen wir, Schmutzfänger in die Zuleitung vor dem Zähler einzubauen.
■■ Den Zähler möglichst am tiefsten Punkt der Installation sowie frostsicher einbauen zur Vermeidung von Luftansammlungen und Beschädigungen.
■■ Der Wasserzähler muss frei von mechanischen
Spannungen montiert werden.
■■ Wasserzähler müssen im Betrieb vollständig mit Wasser gefüllt sein – bei Nassläufern auch das
Zählwerk!
■■ Der Zähler muss durch geeignete Maßnahmen vor Druckschlägen in der Rohrleitung geschützt werden.
■■ Bei Frostgefahr die Anlage absperren und vollständigt entleeren (auch den Zähler!), notfalls den Zähler ausbauen.
■■ Der Zähler muss jederzeit gut zugänglich und ablesbar sein, inkl. aller Angaben auf dem Zifferblatt.
■■ Wir empfehlen, die Anschlussstellen an die
Rohrleitung mit einer Benutzersicherung gegen unbefugte Demontage zu sichern. Die Sicherung sollte nicht ohne sichtbare Beschädigung entfernt oder gelockert werden können.
■■ Die Montage sollte nur von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal durchgeführt werden. Wir verweisen weiterhin auf die Vorschriften der DIN ISO 4064:2014 Teil 5 und auf die DVGW-Arbeitsblät- ter W291 und W557.
*Durchflussangaben abhängig von jeweiliger Nenngröße
Montage:
1.Montageanleitung sorgfältig bis zum Schluss durchlesen!
2.Absperrorgane vor und hinter dem Zähler schließen.
3.Einbaustelle druckentlasten.
4.Vorhandenen Zähler oder Passstück ausbauen.
5.Nur neues und einwandfreies Dichtmaterial verwenden.
6.Dichtflächen auf Beschädigungen kontrollieren.
7.Neuen Zähler fließrichtungsund lagerichtig einbauen. Darauf achten, dass die Dichtungen nicht verrutschen, herausfallen oder beschädigt werden.
8.Überwurfmuttern aufschrauben und festziehen.
9.Absperrorgane langsam öffnen. Druckschläge vermeiden. Ausreichend spülen.
10.Einbaustelle auf Dichtheit prüfen. Das Ziffernblatt und die Konformitäts-/Metrologiekennzei- chen müssen jederzeit gut ablesbar sein.
Zusatzhinweise für Kunststoffzähler Montage:
■■ Um einen spannungsfreien Einbau zu gewährleisten, empfehlen wir die Verwendung einer Wasserzähler-Einbaugarnitur (WZAG).
■■ Empfohlenes Anzugs-Drehmoment bei An- schluss-Verschraubungen: Min. 20Nm bis Max. 30Nm.

General notes
■■ Watermeters are precision instruments. Protect against shock and vibration. Storage under cool, dry and frost free conditions.
■■ The sealing surfaces are equipped with thread protection caps, and thus protected from damage.
■■ Check and ensure before beginning the installation:
––That the sealing faces are flat and free from damage such as notches, grooves, etc..
––That all indications on the dial are readble*.
––The meter fits in type, size, temperature and pressurerating to the installation and metering point.
■■ With polluted or loaded water we recommend that filters or strainers in the inlet must be installed upstream of the meter.
■■ The meter should always be installed at the lowest possible point of the piping as well as frost protected, to prevent the accumulation of air and damages.
■■ The watermeter must be installed into the pipeline free of any of mechanical forces or tensions.
■■ Watermeters must be operating completely filled with water - for wet dial meters this includes also the counter!
■■ The meter must be protected with appropriate measures against pressure shocks in the pipeline.
■■ When there is danger of frost, empty completely and shut off the installation (including the meter), if necessary, dismount the meter.
■■ The meter must always be easily accessible and legible, including all indications on the dial.
■■ We recommend that the installation points on the pipeline should be secured with a seal against unauthorized dismounting. The seal should not be removable or loosened without visible damage.
■■ The installation has to be done by qualifi professional personnel. We would refer to the applicable rules of the DIN ISO 4064:2015, Part 5.
Installation:
1.Read these instructions carefully right up to the end!
2.Close valves upstream and downstream of the meter.
* Data regarding the flow rates are depending on the respective nominal size.
3.Release pressure at the installation point.
4.Dismount existing meters or meter blanks.
5.Use only new and flawless sealing material.
6.Check the seal face for damage.
7.Install the new meter according to the correct flowdirection and installation position. Ensure that the sealing joints do not fall out, or are being damaged.
8.Screw the connection nuts and tighten them.
9.Open vales carefully and avoid pressure shocks, purge adequately.
10.Check installation for leakage. The dial and the indications regarding the conformity /metrology must be visible and readable at any time.
Additional instructions for installation of plastic meter:
■■ In order to guarantee a stress-free installation, we recommend the use of a water meter installation bracket (WZAG).
■■ Recommended tightening torque for the connectors: min. 20Nm up to max. 30Nm.
