R-410A Flare Diameters

• Installation instructions for systems using R-410A vary

between manufacturers with respect to 45˚ ﬂ ares. Some require the larger ﬂ ares produced by the Deluxe 45˚ Flaring

Tool (60278) while others prefer the rolled ﬂ are produced by

the eccentric cone ﬂ aring tool

• Instead of the standard 1/4" (7/16-20 thread, 1/4" O.D.)

ﬁ tting for air conditioning systems, some manufacturers are moving to 5/16" (1/2-20 thread, 5/16" O.D.) to differentiate

ﬁ ttings and avoid misconnections. These ﬁ ttings can often

be found on mini split systems

Straightening wire tension is adjustable to accomodate various ﬁ n types. Wires are held by a sturdy metal body.

61170 includes a long comfort-grip handle, making straightener easier to use. Head is 20 percent wider than the 61150 to straighten more ﬁ ns in one pass.
