Power supply

Be sure to turn the power switch to OFF when the unit is not in use. Remove the baery in

Thank you for purchasing the VOX amPlug I/O Audio Interface with Tuner.
To take full advantage of this product and to ensure trouble-free operation,
please read this owner’s manual carefully and use the product as directed.

Installing Batteries

1. Input plug: Connect your guitar. Swivel the plug as shown. Adjust the
plug angle according to the guitar being used.

2. Power indicator: This indicates whether amPlug I/O is bus-powered or
self-powered (batteries) when it is turned on.
Lights up in green: Bus powered
Lights up in red: Self powered (batteries)

Connecting to the Computer

By connecting amPlug I/O to a computer running Windows 7 or later or
Mac OS 10.8 or later, audio can be recorded and played back. amPlug I/O
can also be used with an Apple iOS device (iOS 7 or later) by using the
Apple USB camera adapter (sold separately).

When connecting to an iOS device, use amPlug I/O on self-powered

(Batteries) mode.

About the VOX USB-ASIO driver (Windows only)

Before using the amPlug I/O, we recommend that you install the VOX
USB-ASIO driver. Download the VOX USB-ASIO driver from the VOX
website (www.voxamps.jp).

Remove the battery compartment cover. Insert
two AAA batteries as shown in the figure to
the left. Be sure to observe the correct polarity
when installing the batteries.Replace the bat­teries when the power indicator becomes blink.

Note: Depleted batteries must be removed
from the amPlug I/O immediately. If you leave

Using amPlug I/O Self-Powered (Batteries)

Set the battery/bus power switch on amPlug I/O to “BATTERY”, and then
hold down the button for approximately one second. The power indicator
lights up in red, and amPlug I/O will operate as an audio interface/tuner.

Connect amPlug I/O to the iOS device or computer using the included USB cable.

3.

When the USB cable is disconnected from the connected device, the audio
interface function turns off. To turn off the tuner function, hold down
the button for approximately one second.

Tip: If amPlug I/O is not connected to an iOS device or a computer when

button is held down for approximately one second, amPlug I/O

Tuning

1. Hold down the button for approximately one second.
The tuner function turns on, and the LED meter lights up.

When using amPlug I/O as a tuner, set the battery/bus power switch

to “BATTERY”. If amPlug I/O is not connected to a computer when
the battery/bus power switch is set to “USB” (bus powered), the tuner
function cannot be turned on, even if batteries are installed.

2. Play a single tone with the string that you want to tune.
From “

” in the LED meter, the LED for the string
number closest to the played tone will flash. Tune the string until the
LED for the string being tuned flashes.

3. Tune the string until “  ” at the center of the LED meter lights up. If the
note is flat, “

” on the left side will light up. If the note is sharp,

“ ” on the right side will light up.
For flat tuning, press the

button while the tuner function is turned on.

“ b ” will light up, and the guitar can be tuned down a semitone. When
the button is pressed again, “ b ” will turn off, and amPlug I/O will
return to regular tuning.

To turn off the tuner function, hold down the button for approximately

If there is no sound input for approximately 5 minutes while the tuner
function is turned on, amPlug I/O automatically turns off (power save
function). To use the tuner function again, press the button to turn it on.

Caution

•

When disconnecting amPlug I/O from your guitar, you must grasp
amPlug I/O near the base of its Input plug. If you grasp it at the end, you
risk breaking amPlug I/O.

•

Disconnect amPlug I/O from your guitar before leaning your guitar
against a wall or laying it on the floor. If you fail to do so, amPlug I/O or
your guitar may strike the floor and be damaged.

•

When connecting the USB cable to amPlug I/O, do not operate its
switches or the VOLUME control. Otherwise, the connected device may
be incorrectly detected.

accordeur de VOX. Afin de pouvoir exploiter au mieux toutes les possibilités
offertes par votre nouvel instrument, veuillez lire attentivement ce manuel.

Installation des piles

Retirez le couvercle du compartiment à piles.
Insérez deux piles AAA comme illustré. Veillez
à loger chaque pile en respectant la polarité.
Remplacez les piles quand le témoin s’éteint.

Remarque: Ne tardez jamais à retirer des
piles usées du amPlug I/O. Elles pourraient
en effet se mettre à couler et ainsi endom­mager l’unité. Remplacez les piles quand le
témoin d’alimentation commence à clignoter.

amPlug I/O sous/hors tension quand elle est alimentée sur piles, ou active/

I/O à un ordinateur.

le pilote VOX USB-ASIO. Téléchargez le pilote VOX USB-ASIO sur le site

Anschluss an einen Computer

Wenn Sie den amPlug I/O an einen Computer mit Windows 7 oder später bzw. Mac
OS 10.6 oder später anschließen, können Sie Audioaufnahmen machen und diese
wiedergeben. Sie können den amPlug I/O auch mithilfe des separat erhältlichen Apple
USB Kameraadapters mit einem Apple iOS-Gerät (iPad oder iPhone) verwenden.

Schalten Sie den amPlug I/O auf Batteriebetrieb, wenn Sie ihn an ein

iOS-Gerät anschließen.

Zum VOX USB-ASIO Treiber (nur Windows)

Bevor Sie den amPlug I/O verwenden, empfehlen wir die Installation des
VOX USB-ASIO Treibers. Laden Sie hierzu den VOX USB-ASIO Treiber

Entnehmen Sie die Blende des Batteriefachs.
Legen Sie zwei AAA-Batterien wie in
der Abbildung gezeigt ein. Beachten

Den amPlug I/O mit Bus-Speisung betreiben

1.

Stellen Sie denn Batterie/Bus-Speisung-Schalter des amPlug I/O auf
„USB“ und schließen Sie ihn mithilfe des beiliegenden USB-Kabels an
einen Computer an. Die Betriebsanzeige leuchtet grün und der amPlug
I/O arbeitet als Audioschnittstelle.

Wenn Sie die USB-Verbindung trennen, schaltet sich der amPlug I/O aus.

Den amPlug I/O im Batteriebetrieb betreiben

1.

Stellen Sie denn Batterie/Bus-Speisung-Schalter des amPlug I/O auf
„BATTERY“ und halten Sie anschließend die -Taste etwa eine Sekunde
lang gedrückt. Die Betriebsanzeige leuchtet rot und der amPlug I/O
arbeitet als Audioschnittstelle/Stimmgerät.

2. Schließen Sie den amPlug I/O mithilfe des beiliegenden USB-Kabels an
ein iOS-Gerät oder einen Computer an.

3. Wenn Sie die USB-Verbindung trennen, wird die Audioschnittstellen­Funktion deaktiviert. Um die Stimmfunktion zu deaktivieren, halten
Sie die -Taste etwa eine Sekunde lang gedrückt.

Tipp: Wenn der amPlug I/O als Standalone-Stimmgerät verwendet wird,
können Sie ihn ausschalten, indem Sie die
lang gedrückt halten.

Stimmen

1. Halten Sie die -Taste etwa eine Sekunde lang gedrückt.
Die Stimmfunktion wird aktiviert, und die LED-Anzeige leuchtet auf.

Wenn Sie den amPlug I/O als Stimmgerät verwenden wollen, stellen Sie
den Batterie/Bus-Speisung-Schalter auf „BATTERY“. Falls der Batterie/
Bus-Speisung-Schalter auf „USB“ steht, können Sie den amPlug I/O nicht
als Standalone-Stimmgerät einschalten, selbst wenn Batterien eingelegt sind.

2. Schlagen Sie die Saite an, die Sie stimmen möchten.
In der LED-Anzeige blinkt unter „

drücken, erlischt das „ b “, und der amPlug I/O kehrt wieder zur nor­malen Stimmung zurück.

4. Um die Stimmfunktion zu deaktivieren, halten Sie die
eine Sekunde lang gedrückt. Die LED-Anzeige erlischt.
Falls bei aktivierter Stimmfunktion etwa 5 Minuten lang kein
Eingangssignal anliegt, schaltet sich der amPlug I/O automatisch ab
(Energiesparfunktion). Schalten Sie ihn mit der -Taste ein, um die
Stimmfunktion wieder zu aktivieren.

Beim Lösen der Verbindung zwischen dem amPlug I/O und der Gitarre sollten Sie
vor allem am Sockel in der Nähe des Input-Steckers am amPlug I/O ziehen. Wenn
Sie beim Ziehen die Seiten festhalten, könnten Sie den amPlug I/O beschädigen.

Ziehen Sie den amPlug I/O aus der Gitarrenbuchse, bevor Sie letztere an eine Wand
lehnen oder flach auf den Boden legen. Wenn Sie das nämlich vergessen, könnte
entweder der amPlug I/O oder die Gitarre beim Abstellen beschädigt werden.

Wenn Sie das USB-Kabel am amPlug I/O anschließen, bedienen Sie weder
Schalter noch VOLUME-Regler. Andernfalls könnte das angeschlossene
Gerät nicht richtig erkannt werden.

amPlug I/O. Para ayudarte a sacar el máximo partido de tu nuevo instrumento,
lee detenidamente este manual.

Instalando las pilas

Quita la tapa del compartimento de las pilas. Inserta dos pilas tamaño AAA

1. Conector de entrada: Conéctalo a tu guitarra. Gira el conector como se mues­tra en la figura. Ajusta el ángulo del conector según la guitarra que utilices.

2. Indicador de alimentación: Indica si el amPlug I/O se está alimentando
por bus o por pilas cuando está encendido.
Si se ilumina en verde: alimentación por bus.
Si se ilumina en rojo: alimentación por pilas.

(activación del afinador): Aquí se enciende/apaga el amPlug

3. Botón

I/O cuando está alimentado por pilas, y también se activa/desactiva el
afinador. (→ “Afinación”)

4. Puerto USB: Aquí se conecta el cable USB incluido para conectar el
amPlug I/O a un ordenador.

5. Interruptor de alimentación por pilas/bus: Con este interruptor se selec­ciona la alimentación que se va a utilizar. (→ “Conexión a un ordenador”)

6. Interruptor GUITAR: Ajústalo de acuerdo al nivel de salida de la guitarra.

7. Control VOLUME: Aquí se ajusta el nivel de salida del jack PHONES.

8. Jack PHONES: Aquí puedes conectar unos auriculares, un mezclador

o un grabador.

9. Medidor de leds: Funciona igual que el medidor de un afinador, mos­trando la variación de tono (afinación) de cada cuerda.

Consejo:

Si mantienes pulsado el botón durante aproximadamente un segun-

do, en el medidor de leds se mostrará el nivel de carga que queda en las pilas.

Conexión a un ordenador

Si conectas el amPlug I/O a un ordenador con sistema operativo Windows 7 o
posterior, o Mac OS 10.6 o posterior, podrás grabar y reproducir audio. El amPlug
I/O también se puede utilizar con dispositivos iOS de Apple (iPad o iPhone) conec­tándolo mediante el adaptador para cámara USB de Apple (se vende por separado).

Cuando lo conectes a un dispositivo iOS de Apple, utiliza el amPlug

I/O con alimentación por pilas.

Acerca del controlador (driver) VOX USB-ASIO (solo para Windows)

Antes de utilizar el amPlug I/O, te recomendamos que instales el controlador VOX
USB-ASIO. Puedes descargarlo desde el sitio web de VOX (www.voxamps.jp).

Utilización del amPlug I/O con alimentación por bus

1.

Pon el interruptor de alimentación por pilas/bus del amPlug I/O en “USB”
y a continuación conecta el amPlug I/O al ordenador utilizando el cable
USB que viene incluido. El indicador de alimentación se iluminará en
verde y el amPlug I/O funcionará como interfaz de audio.

Cuando se desconecta el cable USB del ordenador, el amPlug I/O se apaga.

Utilización del amPlug I/O con alimentación por pilas

1.

Pon el interruptor de alimentación por pilas/bus del amPlug I/O en
“BATTERY” y a continuación mantén pulsado el botón durante
aproximadamente un segundo. El indicador de alimentación se iluminará
en rojo y el amPlug I/O funcionará como interfaz de audio/afinador.

2. Conecta el amPlug I/O a un dispositivo iOS de Apple o a un ordenador
mediante el cable USB incluido.

Afinación

1. Mantén pulsado el botón durante aproximadamente un segundo.
La función de afinador se activa y se ilumina el medidor de leds.

Cuando utilices el amPlug I/O como afinador, pon el interruptor de

alimentación por pilas/bus en “BATTERY”. Si no conectas el amPlug
I/O a un ordenador cuando el interruptor de alimentación por pilas/
bus está puesto en “USB” (alimentación por bus), no es posible activar
la función de afinador, incluso aunque haya pilas instaladas.

2. Toca la cuerda que quieras afinar, pulsándola al aire una sola vez.
El led correspondiente al número de la cuerda más cercana al tono tocado
se iluminará intermitentemente en la escala “ ” del
medidor de leds. Afina la cuerda hasta que se ilumine intermitentemente
el led de la cuerda que estás afinando.

Atención

• Cuando desconectes el amPlug I/O de tu guitarra, debes sujetarlo por la

base del conector de entrada.

• Desconecta el amPlug I/O de tu guitarra antes de apoyar la guitarra contra

la pared o dejarla en el suelo. Si no lo haces, el amPlug I/O podría golpear
el suelo y dañarse.

•

Cuando conectes el cable USB al amPlug I/O, no hagas nada con los
interruptores ni con el control VOLUME, ya que el dispositivo conectado
podría no detectarse correctamente.
