1. Introduction

Thank you for buying the VTBAL4! Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service. If the
device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer.
2. Use
• Open the battery compartment at the back of your scales and insert the battery. Mind the polarity.
• Remove the protective foam. Press the ON button. The VTBAL4 will display “0.” and “g” meaning the weighing
unit is grams. If not, press the g/oz button.
• Gently place the object on the centre of the weighing platform. The weight and an “H” are displayed. To tare a
weight, press the TARE button after the display has stabilized. Remove the weight. The negative
counterweight is now displayed. Press TARE to refresh the scales.
• Press the g/oz button to switch weighing units (grams/ounces).
• Press the OFF button to switch off the scales. Note that the scales will automatically switch off after 90
seconds of inactivity.
3. Other Functions
• An H symbol appears after having placed a weight onto the platform. The displayed value will be locked for 5
seconds.
• Fast calibration: Turn on the scales and place a 1kg weight onto the platform. If the displayed value differs
from the actual weight after stabilization, press and hold the g/oz button and release after for 10 seconds.
“1000” will flash twice meaning the scales have been calibrated.
• Low battery indication: “LO” and will be displayed. Replace the battery with a battery with the same
specifications.
• Overload indication: “Err” will be displayed.

1. Inleiding

dit toestel schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu.
Gooi dit toestel (en eventuele batterijen) niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij een
gespecialiseerd bedrijf terechtkomen voor recyclage.
U moet dit toestel naar uw verdeler of naar een lokaal recyclagepunt brengen.

2. Gebruik
• Open het batterijvak onderaan het toestel en plaats de batterij. Let op de polariteit.
• Verwijder de rubber bescherming. Druk op ON. De VTBAL4 geeft “0.” en “g” weer (weegeenheid in gram). Zo
niet, druk op g/oz tot “g” weergegeven wordt.
• Plaats het te wegen object voorzichtig in het midden van het weegplatform. Het gewicht en “H” worden
weergegeven. Om het gewicht te tarreren, druk op TARE nadat het gewicht de display niet meer verandert.
Verwijder het gewicht. Het negatieve contragewicht wordt nu weergegeven. Druk op TARE om de tarra op te
zeggen.
• Druk op g/oz om de weegeenheid te selecteren (gram/ons).
• Druk op OFF om de weegschaal uit te schakelen. Merk op dat de weegschaal na 90 seconden inactiviteit
automatisch uitschakelt.
3. Andere functies
• Nadat u een gewicht op het platform hebt geplaatst, verschijnt H op het schermpje. De weergegeven waarde
wordt voor 5 seconden vastgezet.
• Snelle ijking: Schakel de weegschaal in en plaats een gewicht van 1kg op het platform. Indien de
weergegeven waarde verschilt van het gewicht, houd g/oz ingedrukt en laat los na 10 seconden. “1000” flitst
twee maal, de weegschaal is nu geijkt.
• Aanduiding zwakke batterij: “LO” en verschijnen op de display. Vervang de batterij door een batterij van
hetzelfde type.
• Aanduiding overgewicht: “Err” wordt weergegeven.

2. Emploi
• Ouvrir le couvercle de la trappe à batterie et insérer la pile en respectant la polarité.
• Retirer la protection en mousse. Enfoncer ON. La VTBAL4 affiche « 0. »” et « g » indiquant l’unité de mesure
en grammes. Si non, enfoncer g/oz et sélectionner l’unité de mesure en grammes.
• Placer délicatement l’objet au centre du tablier de pesage. Le poids et un « H » s’affichent. Pour tarer un poids,
enfoncer TARE après la stabilisation de l’affichage. Retirer le poids. Le contrepoids négatif s’affiche. Enfoncer
TARE pour réinitialiser la balance.
• Enfoncer g/oz pour sélectionner l’unité de poids (grammes/onces).
• Enfoncer OFF pour désactiver la balance. Notez que la balance s’éteint automatiquement après 90 secondes
d’inactivité.
3. Autres fonctions
• Un « H » apparaît après avoir placé un poids sur le tablier de pesage. La valeur affichée sera verrouillée
pendant 5 secondes.
• Calibration rapide : Activer la balance et placer un poids étalon de 1kg sur le tablier de pesage. Si la valeur
affichée présente une différence avec le poids étalon, maintenir enfoncé la touche g/oz et relâcher après 10
secondes. « 1000 » clignotera deux fois pour indiquer que la balance a été calibrée.
• Indication de pile faible : « LO » et s’affichent. Remplacer la pile avec une pile du même type.
• Indication de surcharge : « Err » s’affiche.

2. Uso
• Abra el compartimiento de baterías e introduzca la pila. Controle la polaridad.
• Quite la protección de espuma. Pulse ON. La VTBAL4 visualiza « 0. » y « g » indicando la unidad de pesado
en gramos. Si no es el caso, pulse g/oz y seleccione la unidad de pesado en gramos.
• Ponga el objeto cuidadosamente en el medio del plato. El peso y « H » se visualizan. Para fijar la tara, pulse
TARE después de que el peso se haya estabilizado en la pantalla. Quite el peso. El contrapeso negativo se
visualiza. Pulse TARE para reinicializar la balanza.
• Pulse g/oz para seleccionar la unidad de pesado (gramos/onzas).
• Pulse OFF para desactivar la balanza. Tenga en cuenta que la balanza se apaga automáticamente después
de 90 segundos de inactividad.
3. Otras funciones
• « H » aparece después de haber puesto un peso en la plataforma de pesado. El valor visualizado se fijará
durante 5 segundos.
• Calibración rápida: Active la balanza y coloque un peso de 1kg en el plato de pesado. Si el valor visualizado
difiere del peso, mantenga pulsada la tecla g/oz y suéltela después de 10 segundos. « 1000 » parpadeará dos
veces para indicar que la balanza ha sido calibrado
• Indicador de pila baja: « LO » y se visualizan. Reemplace la pila por una nueva del mismo tipo.
• Indicador de sobrecarga: « Err » se visualiza.

2. Gebrauch
•
Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach und legen Sie die Batterie ein. Achten Sie auf die Polarität. Entfernen Sie den
Gummischutz. Drücken Sie ON. Die VTBAL4 zeigt “0.” und “g” (Wäge-Einheit
• in Gramm). Wenn dies nicht der Fall ist, drücken Sie g/oz bis “g” erscheint.
• Legen Sie den Gegenstand, den Sie wiegen möchten, vorsichtig mittig auf die Wägeplatte. Das Gewicht und
“H” erscheinen. Um das Gewicht zu tarieren, drücken Sie TARE nachdem das Gewicht im Display stabil ist.
Entfernen Sie das Gewicht. Das negative Kontergewicht erscheint nun. Drücken Sie TARE, um die Tara
zurückzustellen.
• Drücken Sie g/oz, um die Maßeinheit auszuwählen (gram/ons).
• Drücken Sie OFF, um die Waage auszuschalten. Beachten Sie, dass die Waage sich nach 90 Sekunden ohne
Betätigung automatisch ausschaltet.
3. Andere Funktionen
• Nachdem Sie das Kalibriergewicht auf die Platte gestellt haben, erscheint « H » im Display. Der angezeigte
Wert wird 5 Sekunden fixiert.
• Schnelle Kalibrierung: Schalten Sie die Waage ein und stellen Sie ein Kalibriergewicht von 1kg auf die
Wägeplatte. Wenn der angezeigte Wert sich vom Kalibriergewicht unterscheidet, halten Sie g/oz gedrückt und
lassen Sie nach 10 Sekunden los. “1000” blitzt zwei Mal, die Waage ist jetzt kalibriert.
• Lo-Bat-Anzeige: “LO” und erscheinen im Display. Ersetzen Sie die Batterie durch eine Batterie gleichen
Typs.
• Überlast: “Err” erscheint.

2. Utilizzo
• Aprire il coperchio del vano batterie posto sotto la bilancia ed inserire la batteria fornita in dotazione
rispettando la polarità.
• Rimuovere il collare di protezione in spugna presente sotto il piatto di pesatura. Premere il pulsante ON. Sul
display della VTBAL4 comparirà “0.” e la lettera “g” ad indicare che il peso è espresso in grammi. Per una
differente unità di misura, premere il pulsante g/oz.
• Posizionare con delicatezza, al centro del piatto di pesatura, l’oggetto che si desidera pesare. Sul display
viene visualizzato il peso e immediatamente dopo il simbolo “H”. Per impostare la Tara, premere il pulsante
TARE dopo che l’indicazione sul display si è stabilizzata. Rimuovere l’oggetto. Il display indicherà un valore
negativo.
Premere il pulsante TARE per azzerare la scala.
• Premere il pulsante g/oz per cambiare l’unità di misura (grammi/once).
• Premere il pulsante OFF per spegnere la bilancia. L’apparecchio si spegne automaticamente dopo 90 secondi
di inattività.
3. Funzioni aggiuntive
• Il simbolo “H” appare dopo che l’oggetto è stato appoggiato sul piatto di pesatura. Il valore visualizzato viene
bloccato per circa 5 secondi.
• Calibrazione rapida: accendere la bilancia ed appoggiare sul piatto di pesatura un peso campione da 1 kg. Se
il valore visualizzato sul display differisce da quello reale (attendere che l’indicazione si stabilizzi) premere e
tenere premuto il pulsante g/oz per 10 secondi. Dopo il rilascio del pulsante il valore “1000” sul display
lampeggerà due volte ad indicare l’avvenuta calibrazione della bilancia.
• Indicazione batteria scarica: sul display appare la scritta “LO” ed il simbolo . Sostituire le batterie vecchie
con altre nuove aventi identiche caratteristiche.
• Indicazione sovraccarico: sul display appare la scritta “Err”.
