Thank you for buying the SOL6N! This solar cell trickle charger helps to avoid battery drain for 12V batteries (e.g. car
batteries). When batteries go flat, they may be seriously damaged and may never regain their full power. Please read
the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service. Read the warranty information below

IMPORTANT: warranty!

• The warranty automatically becomes void if the user personally tries to repair or modify the device.

• The warranty also becomes void in case of damage caused by inappropriate or excessive use or the disregard of

standard safety prescriptions in general and those in this manual in particular.

• The warranty is not applicable to parts that, because of their nature, wear fast during normal use (e.g. batteries,
lamps, belts, etc.).

• When the device has been found not faulty, fixed costs may be charged. Read the manual thoroughly before
returning the device.

• Velleman Inc. does not accept responsibility for personal injury caused by the disregard of the safety instructions
in this manual. This also goes for all types of consequential loss.

• Warranty repair procedure: the device needs to be sent back in the original packaging, together with all
accessories and a copy of the invoice or the receipt. Transportation damages caused by insufficient protection are
at the expense of the customer and are not covered by the warranty.

• Removal or obliteration of any serial number may void the warranty.

4. Operation

This solar panel converts the energy of the sunlight into 12V DC electricity, which is then transported to the
rechargeable batteries via a lead wire and a connector of your choosing.
This panel works under cloudy conditions as well as in the intense heat of the summer sun. The power loss due to
extreme heat is lower than with other similar devices.

5. Use

• Aim the front at the sun and make sure the device is not installed in the shade.

• Tilt the solar panel at a suitable angle.

• Connect the battery with the solar panel using the provided cable and battery clamps. Respect the polarity

indications : black lead = negative (-), red lead = positive (+). Use the correct battery terminals!

6. Attention

• Wipe the glass surface clean periodically with a soft cloth in order to ensure max. output.

• Handle the solar panel with care in order to protect the glass substrate.

• Avoid contact with acids and alkali.

• De garantie vervalt automatisch indien de gebruiker het toestel zelf probeert te herstellen of modificeren.

• De garantie vervalt ook bij schade die wordt veroorzaakt door ongeoorloofd of overmatig gebruik of door het niet

naleven van de gangbare veiligheidsvoorschriften in het algemeen en de voorschriften in deze handleiding in het
bijzonder. Dit geldt ook voor alle vormen van gevolgschade.

• Garantie geldt niet voor onderdelen die door hun aard snel slijten bij normaal gebruik (bv. batterijen, lampen,
riemen, enz.).

• Wanneer geen defecten aan de goederen werden vastgesteld kunnen er forfaitaire kosten aangerekend worden.
Lees daarom de handleiding nog eens grondig na.

• Velleman kan niet aansprakelijk worden gesteld voor kwetsuren veroorzaakt door het niet naleven van de
veiligheidsvoorschriften in deze handleiding. Dit geldt ook voor alle vormen van gevolgschade.

• Om een toestel onder garantie te laten herstellen, dient een kopie van de aankoopfactuur of kasticket bijgevoegd
te worden en dient het toestel in originele verpakking (met alle accessoires) te worden opgezonden.
Transportschade voortvloeiend uit onvoldoende bescherming vallen ten laste van de klant en dus niet onder de
garantie.

• Verwijderen of onleesbaar maken van een eventueel serienummer kan aanleiding geven tot het vervallen van de
waarborg.

4. Werking

Dit zonnepaneel zet de energie van de zon om in 12V DC elektriciteit, die dan wordt overgebracht naar de
herlaadbare batterijen via een kabel en een connector.
Dit paneel werkt bij zware bewolking en in grote hitte. Het vermogenverlies door extreme hitte is lager dan bij
vergelijkbare toestellen.

5. Gebruik

• Richt het frontpaneel naar de zon en zorg ervoor dat het er geen schaduw over het toestel kan vallen.

• Plaats het paneel onder een geschikte hoek.

• Sluit de batterij aan op het zonnepaneel met de meegeleverde kabel en de batterijklemmen. Respecteer de

polariteitsaanduidingen : zwarte kabel = negatief (-), rode kabel = positief (+). Gebruik de juiste
batterijaansluitingen!

6. Opgelet

• Veeg het glazen oppervlak geregeld schoon met een zachte doek zodat het rendement van het toestel maximaal

blijft.

• Behandel het zonnepaneel met de nodige voorzichtigheid om het glassubstraat niet te beschadigen.

• Vermijd contact met zuren en alkali.

4. Fonctionnement

Ce panneau solaire transforme l'énergie du soleil en électricité de 12V CC, qui est ensuite transférée vers les accus
au moyen d'un câble et un connecteur.
Ce panneau fonctionne sous un ciel couvert comme dans la chaleur extrême. L'appareil perd moins de puissance à
cause de la chaleur que d'autres appareils équivalents.

5. Usage

• Orientez le panneau frontal vers le soleil et choisissez un endroit d'installation qui n'est jamais dans l'ombre.

• Réglez le panneau sous l'angle désiré.

• Connectez l'accu au panneau solaire à l'aide du câble et des pinces crocodiles incluses. Respectez les

indications de polarité : câble noir = négatif (-), câble rouge = positif (+). Utilisez les bonnes connexions!!

6. Attention

• Essuyez la surface en verre de périodiquement avec un chiffon doux pour une efficacité maximale de l'appareil.

• Traitez le panneau solaire avec circonspection pour ne pas endommager le substrat de verre.

• Evitez tout contact avec les acides et l'alcali.
