3. General Guidelines

6. Installation
The device can be used on the table or attached to the cars
sunshield.
To attach the base station to the sunshield, first slide the
mounting bracket [H] in the retaining tabs at the back of the base station.
Slide the open end of the mounting bracket [H] over the
sunshield. This can be done in 2 ways (see below). When using the rear view mirror, set the display to mirrored (see §7).

7. Operation
Note: prior to using the BTSP2 for the first time, both headset and
base station should be charged fully (see §8). Consider charging base station and headset separately; when charging the headset through the base station, the latter will get priority and will be charged first.
To switch the base station on, place the ear device [A] into the
base station. Make sure the USB connectors [A1] and [G] are securely fit. Press and hold the function key [A2] for ±6 seconds. The LCD display [E] shows 888888888888, followed by ON.
To use the ear device [A] stand-alone, remove it from the base
station and press and hold the function key for ± 6 seconds. The base station remains off.
Adjust the volume of the ear device [A], using the volume up
[6] and volume down [7] buttons. Adjust the volume of the base station speaker [B] by turning the volume knob [C].
Switch the car kit off by pressing and holding the function key
[A2] for ±8 seconds. The LCD display [E] shows OFF.
pairing
The device must be associated with a Bluetooth phone before use.
Press and hold the function key [A2] until the status indicator
[A3] flashes red and blue.
Enable the Bluetooth
On the mobile phone, select BTSP2 and enter th e password
(0000) to confirm pairing.
The base station displays CONNECTED and the status indicator
[A3] flashes blue with a 5 seconds interval.
Note that some mobile phones will not connect until a call is
received or made.
voice dialling
Voice dialling requires a mobile phone that supports this function.
Verify that the status indicator [A3] flashes blue (interval 5s).
Press the function key [A2] once. The display shows
VOICEDIAL and a voice dialling prompt is sent.
Respond with a pre-recorded voice tag. The base station repeats
the voice tag and the number is dialled.

last number redial
Last number redial requires a mobile phone that supports this function.
Verify that the status indicator [A3] flashes blue (interval 5s).
Press the function key [A2] 2x shortly. The display shows
REDIAL and the last number is redialled.
answer/reject/end a phone call
Verify that the status indicator [A3] flashes blue (interval 5s).
When an incoming call is detected, the LCD displays the caller ID
and rings.
Press the function key [A2] once to answer the call; press it 2x
times fast to reject the call. In this case, the display shows REJECT.
The ear device can be left in the base station, or can be used
detached with the ear plug [5] inserted in the ear.
Press the function key [A2] again to end the phone call. The
display shows HANGUP.
waiting calls
The availability of this function depends on the used network operator.
When a second incoming call is detected, the LCD displays the
caller ID and rings.
Press and hold the function key [A2] for ±3s to answer the
second call. The display shows ACCEPT.
To switch between the calls, press and hold the function key
[A2] for ±3s.
To end an incoming call, press the function key [A2] shortly; the
current call is ended and the other line becomes active. The display shows RESTORE.
switching between mobile phone and car kit
During conversation, press and hold the function ke y [A2] for
±3s. The car kit is disabled and the phone call is transferred to the mobile phone. The display shows TRANSFER.
Press the function key [A2] shortly to transfer the call back to
the car kit. The display shows CONNECTED.

display direction
The base station can be placed on a table top or attached to a
sunshield. To ensure readability, the LCD display reading can be shown upside down or mirrored.
Change the display reading by pressing and holding the volume
down button [7] for ±3s. The status indicator [A3] flashes red 1x for normal (desktop) display, 2x for mirrored (deployed sunshield) and 3x for upside down (stowed sunshield).
8. Charging
When the display shows LO and beeps are heard, the internal
battery needs charging.
Connect the 5VDC plug of the included cable to the DC jack [D]
of the base station and plug the other side into the included car cigarette lighter plug (or other USB power source). Plug the cigarette lighter plug into a cars DC output socket.
The charging indicator [F] turns on red during charging; it turns
green when charging is completed (±3h). During charging, the car kit can be used normally.
Note that the ear device can be charged separately via the
included USB cable. Connect the USB mini-B connector of the cable to the USB connector of the ear device [A1] and the other side to a 5VDC USB power source. The status indicator [A3] turns red during charging; it turns green when charging is completed.
9. Batteries
The BTSP2 contains built-in Lithium batteries. When the device is
end-of-life, have these batteries removed by a qualified person and dispose of them in accordance with local regulations.
WARNING: Never dispose of batteries in fire, as they could explode.Keep batteries away from children.

6. Installatie
Deze handsfreekit kan alleenstaand gebruikt of aan de zonneklep
bevestigd worden.
Schuif de montagebeugel [H] in de gleufjes achteraan het
station.
Schuif nu de montagebeugel [H] over de zonneklep. Schakel de
spiegelfunctie in wanneer u de display aan de achteruitkijkspiegel bevestigt (zie §7).
