Mounting split ferrite
1 Mounting split ferrite
When using a VEGALOG 571 with GL approval,
additional split ferrites must be used to keep the EMC
regulations. This concerns teh RS232 connection cable
for the CPU and the Profibus PA cable of the EP card.
The ferrites are attached to each VEGALOG with GL
approval and must be mounted by the operator.
RS232 connection CPU
1 Open the two rectangular split ferrites
2 Place the first ferrite close to a plug around the
RS232 cable
3 Apply the second split ferrite subsequently to the first
one
4 Plug the side with the two ferrites to the RS232 of the
VEGALOG CPU and the other side to the PC
