15 WATT LONGWAVE BLACKLIGHT LAMP WITH TRIPOD STAND
Introduction:
The BL-15 lamp is designed for inspection application use in areas with limited access areas. It is also designed for use in low light areas. Hang the lamp with the hook included or use the tripod to stand the lamp vertically.
Safety Instructions:
Failure to comply with the instructions and safety information listed below could result in fire hazard, electrical shock or damage to the unit.
To avoid serious injury or death from electric shock or fire:
Do not handle an energized work light or energize any work light with wet hands or when standing on a wet or damp surface, or in water.
This work light must be used in accordance with the local electric code as defined by the local authority having jurisdiction.
Disconnect power before installing, servicing or inspecting this work light for any reason.
This work light is only for use on 110-125V (single phase) 15A 60 Hz circuits and is equipped with a 3 conductor cord and 3 prong, grounding-type plug. To reduce the risk of electric shock, it must be plugged fully into a receptacle. Make certain that the power source conforms to the requirements of this work light.
This work light is not waterproof and is not intended to be used in showers, saunas, or in potentially wet locations. Keep this work light away from sinks, tubs, showers, etc. Retrieving plugged-in appliances when they fall into water can be fatal.
Never use an extension cord unless the work light plug can be fully inserted into the extension cord receptacle.
This work light is intended for general indoor use. It is not intended for outdoor use. It is not intended to be used in poten­tially dangerous locations, such as flammable or explosive atmospheres.
Operating the Lamp:
1. Plug into any 110-125V (single phase), 3 conductor outlet.
2. Depress one or both switches and hold for one to two seconds to turn light on.
3. Hooks may be used to hand light in any orientation.
4. End cap must be removed to install metal side hanging hook.
5. Tri pod stand my be used to hold light vertical on flat surfaces.
Maintenance:
WARNING: To avoid electric shock, unplug work light from outlet before attempting to perform any mainte-
nance.
1. Cleaning: Remove dirt and grime as soon as it accumulates on light body and cord by using a soft, damp cloth (a mild soap my be used if needed), being careful not to wet the electrical plug. Never immerse any part of the work light in any solution to clean it. Do not use solvents (such as gasoline, turpentine, etc.) to clean it.
2. Tube Replacement: Remove power supply plug from outlet. Remove Phillips head screw (A) from hook end of light, separate end caps halves (B), and hook (C), as show in Figure 1. Grasp white nylon socket (D), and pull out­wards. Remove lamp and replace (E), with the replacement bult. Pull slack wire (F) that may be along the lamp through cord guide (G) into end cap.
WARNING: When relamping, white wires (H), must be posi­tioned free of connecting posts (I), during reassembly, to avoid crimping wires.
