Perform the following procedure 1 to 5 to hook up your system using the supplied cords and
accessories.

1 Remove the rear cover.

5 Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.
If the plug does not fit the wall outlet, attach
the supplied plug adapter (only for models
equipped with an adapter).
To turn on the system, press @/1.
Note on the front glass
The front glass is made of tempered glass. Under
normal conditions, this tempered glass is more
shock resistant and able to bear more weight than
ordinary glass. This glass, however, may shatter if
it receives a sharp blow or if it is scratched.
Note
Depending on the connected cords or antennas, you
may not be able to reinstall the rear cover.

Pull out the insulating sheet to allow
power to flow from the battery.
The remote already contains a battery.

Replacing the battery in
the remote
1 Slide out and remove the battery case.
2 Insert a new lithium battery CR2025
with the + side facing up.
A lithium battery CR2025
3 Slide the battery case back in.
Tip
When the remote no longer operates the system,
replace the battery with a new one.
Note
If you do not use the remote for a long period of time,
remove the battery to avoid possible damage from
battery leakage and corrosion.
Notes on lithium battery
• Keep the lithium battery out of the reach of
children. Should the battery be swallowed,
immediately consult a doctor.
• Wipe the battery with a dry cloth to assure a good
contact.
• Be sure to observe the correct polarity when
installing the battery.
• Do not hold the battery with metallic tweezers,
otherwise a short-circuit may occur.
Setting the clock
1Turn on the system.
2Press CLOCK/TIMER SET on the
remote.
The day indication flashes.
3Press . or > on the remote
repeatedly to set the day, then press
ENTER/YES on the remote.
The hour indication flashes.
4Press . or > on the remote
repeatedly to set the hour, then press
ENTER/YES on the remote.
The minute indication flashes.
5Press . or > on the remote
repeatedly to set the minuite, then
press ENTER/YES on the remote.
If you made a mistake
Press TCURSOR or CURSORt on the remote
repeatedly until the indication you want to change
(day, hour, minuite) flashes, and then change the
setting.
To adjust the clock
1 Press CLOCK/TIMER SET on the remote.
2 Press . or > on the remote
repeatedly to select “CLOCK SET?”, then
press ENTER/YES on the remote.
3 Do the same procedures as steps 3 to 5
above.
WARNING
Battery may explode if you mistreated.
Do not recharge, disassemble or dispose of in fire.

CD
Loading a CD
1 Press Z.
“OPEN” appears and the function switches
to CD.
2 Insert a CD and push down on it gently.
The CD is drawn in and playback starts
automatically.
With the label side facing front.
Tips
• To reload the CD, first remove the CD, and then
load it again.
• You can load a CD single (8 cm CD) without an
adapter.
• Playback starts automatically when you simply load
the CD (CD Auto Play). This function, however,
does not work while Program Play is selected.
