Legen Sie nur die empfohlenen, aufladbaren Akkus (S. 38) des gleichen Typs ein! D. h. keine anderen Akkutypen oder nicht wieder aufladbare Batterien, da sie zu Gesundheits- und Personenschäden führen können.

Legen Sie wieder aufladbare Akkus richtig gepolt ein und verwenden Sie den Akkutyp gemäß dieser Bedienungsan-

leitung (Symbole sind in den angebracht)

Medizinische Geräte können in ihrer Funktion beeinflusst werden. Beachten Sie die technischen Bedingungen des jeweiligen Umfeldes (z. B. Arztpraxis).

Das Mobilteil kann in Hörgeräten einen unangenehmen Brummton verursachen.

Akkufächern des Mobilteils

Stellen Sie die Basis nicht in Bädern oder Duschräumen (S. 36) auf. Mobilteil und Basis sind nicht spritzwassergeschützt.

Nutzen Sie das Telefon nicht in explosionsgefährdeten Umgebungen (z. B. Lackierereien).

Geben Sie Ihr Gigaset nur mit der Bedienungsanleitung an

Dritte weiter.

Entsorgen Sie Akkus und Telefon umweltgerecht.

Nicht alle in dieser Bedienungsanleitung beschriebenen Funktionen sind in allen Ländern verfügbar.

Telefon in Betrieb nehmen

Die Verpackung enthält: ein Mobilteil Gigaset E 1, eine Ladeschale, ein Steckernetzgerät mit Netzkabel, einen Gürtelclip für das Mobilteil, zwei Akkus und eine Bedienungsanleitung.

Schutzfolie entfernen

Das Display ist durch eine Folie geschützt. Bitte Schutzfolie abziehen!

Akkus einlegen

◆ Akkus richtig gepolt einlegen – siehe linke Abbildung,

◆ Deckel etwa 3 mm nach unten versetzt auflegen und nach

oben schieben bis er einrastet.

◆ Zum Öffnen des Deckels auf die Riffelung drücken und nach

unten schieben.

Verwenden Sie nur die von Siemens auf S. 38 empfohlenen aufladbaren Akkus! Verwenden Sie auf keinen Fall herkömmliche (nicht wieder aufladbare) Batterien oder andere Akkutypen, da erhebliche Gesundheits-

und Sachschäden nicht auszuschließen sind. Es könnte z. B. der Mantel der Batterie bzw. des Akkus zerstört werden (gefährlich). Es könnten außerdem Funktionsstörungen bzw. Beschädigungen des Gerätes auftreten.

Mobilteil in die Basis legen und Akkus laden

Wenn Sie das Mobilteil in die Basis E 150 legen, meldet sich das Mobilteil automatisch an der Basis an. Gehen Sie folgendermaßen vor:

1. Legen Sie das Mobilteil mit dem Display nach oben in die Basis.

2. Warten Sie, bis sich das Mobilteil automatisch an der Basis an-

gemeldet hat. Die automatische Anmeldung dauert etwa eine Minute. Während dieser Zeit blinkt im Display Anmeldevorgang. Nach der Anmeldung wird das Ruhedisplay angezeigt.

3. Lassen Sie jetzt das Mobilteil zum Laden der Akkus in der Ladeschale stehen, denn die Akkus sind im Lieferzustand nicht geladen. Das Aufladen der Akkus wird im Display oben rechts durch Blinken des Akkusymbols angezeigt.

Sollte die automatische Anmeldung unterbrochen werden, melden Sie das Mobilteil manuell an, wie ab S. 9 beschrieben.

Sollte die automatische Anmeldung unterbrochen werden oder wollen Sie Ihr Mobilteil E 1 an einer anderen GAP-Basis nutzen, müssen Sie es manuell anmelden. Ihr Gigaset E 1 kann aber nur an einer Basis angemeldet werden.

Die Anmeldung des Mobilteils müssen Sie am Mobilteil und an der Basis einleiten.

2. An der Basis

Wie Sie die Anmeldung des Mobilteils an der Basis einleiten, lesen Sie bitte in der Bedienungsanleitung der Basis nach.

Auswählen und bestätigen.

System-PIN der Basis (0000) eingeben und bestätigen.

Gürtelclip befestigen

Den Gürtelclip auf der Rückseite des Mobilteils andrücken, bis die seitlichen „Nasen“ in die Aussparungen einrasten. Zusätzlich können Sie eine Kordel anbringen, um das Mobilteil in der Hand oder um den Hals zu tragen.

Mobilteil ein-/ausschalten

Zum Einschalten die Auflegen-Taste a drücken. Es ertönt ein Bestätigungston (aufsteigende Tonfolge). Wenn Sie das Mobilteil in die Ladeschale stellen, schaltet es sich automatisch ein.

Zum Ausschalten im Ruhezustand die Auflegen-Taste a lang drücken (Bestätigungston).

Funktions-Tasten

Funktions-Tasten sind die rechte und linke Taste direkt unter dem Display. Entsprechend der jeweiligen Bediensituation wechselt Ihre Funktion. Die aktuelle Funktion wird direkt darüber im Display angezeigt. Wenn Sie in einer Liste blättern können, erscheint im Display zusätzlich das Symbol å.

Ruf annehmen. Klingelton am Mobilteil ausschalten. Wahlwiederholung: Die Liste der letzten 10 Ruf-

nummern öffnen. Menüfunktion bestätigen bzw. Eingabe durch

Bestätigung speichern. Im Ruhezustand das Hauptmenü öffnen.

Externe Anrufe sind Anrufe in das öffentliche Telefonnetz.

Wahlpause einfügen

Sie können zwischen der Vorwahl und der Rufnummer eine Wahlpause einfügen. Drücken Sie dazu lang die Taste P. Anschließend geben Sie die Rufnummer ein.

Extern anrufen: Rufnummer eingeben und Abheben-Taste drücken. Die Nummer wird gewählt.

Oder:

Sie können auch zuerst die Abheben- Taste c drücken (Sie hören einen Freiton) und dann die Rufnummer eingeben.

Gespräch beenden: Auflegen-Taste

drücken. Mit der Auflegen-Taste a brechen Sie das Wählen ab.

Anruf annehmen

Ihr Telefon klingelt, der Anruf wird im Display angezeigt und die Taste d am Mobilteil blinkt.

c (oder d) drücken, um den Ruf anzunehmen.

Wenn das Mobilteil in der Ladeschale steht und die Funktion Automatische Rufannahme eingeschaltet ist (S. 26), müssen Sie das Mobilteil nur aus der Ladeschale nehmen, um den Anruf anzunehmen.

Freisprechen

Sie können Gespräche führen, ohne dabei das Mobilteil in der Hand halten zu müssen. Auch andere Personen können sich am Gespräch beteiligen.

Bevor Sie die Funktion Freisprechen nutzen, sollten Sie dies Ihrem Gesprächspartner sagen.

Freisprechen ein-/ausschalten

einschalten: d Freisprech-Taste drücken. ausschalten: c Abheben-Taste drücken.

Sobald Sie Freisprechen beenden, wechseln Sie in den „Hörerbetrieb“ und führen das Gespräch am Mobilteil weiter.

Pflege

Wischen Sie Basis und Mobilteil mit einem feuchten Tuch (keine Lösungsmittel) oder einem Antistatiktuch ab. Benutzen Sie nie ein trockenes Tuch. Es besteht die Gefahr der statischen Aufladung.

Kontakt mit Flüssigkeit

Sollte das Mobilteil mit Flüssigkeit in Kontakt gekommen sein, auf keinen Fall das Gerät einschalten. Sofort alle Akkus entnehmen.

Lassen Sie die Flüssigkeit aus dem Gerät abtropfen und tupfen Sie anschließend alle Teile trocken.

Lagern Sie das Mobilteil ohne Akkus für mindestens 72 Stunden an einem trockenen, warmen Ort. Danach ist in vielen Fällen die Inbetriebnahme wieder möglich.

fügen Sie vor dem Namen ein Leerzeichen ein. Dieser Eintrag rückt dann an die erste Stelle (Beispiel: „sKarla“). Sie können die Einträge auch mit Ziffern nummerieren (z. B. „1Ute“, „2Karla“, „3Albert“).

Garantie-Schein Belgien

Dem Verbraucher (Kunden) wird unbeschadet seiner Mängelansprüche gegenüber dem Vertragshändler eine Garantie zu den nachstehenden Bedingungen eingeräumt:

◆ Wenn das neue Gerät oder Zubehör innerhalb von 24 Monaten

nach Ankauf Defekte aufweist infolge von Produktions- bzw. underside of the base station.

Fit only the recommended rechargeable batteries (page 37) of the same type! Use no other types of batteries or non-rechargeable batteries, as they could damage health and cause personal injury.

Ensure correct polarity when fitting rechargeable batteries, and use the battery type according to these

instructions (you will see polarity symbols in the handset's battery compartments)

The operation of medical appliances may be affected. Be aware of the technical conditions within the particular environment (e.g. doctor's practice).

The handset may cause an intrusive 'hum' in hearing aids.

Do not install the base in bathrooms or shower rooms (page 35). The handset and base are not watertight.

Do not use the phone in environments subject to explosion hazard (e.g. auto paint shops).

If you give your Gigaset to someone else, make sure you

also give them the operating manual.

Dispose of the batteries and phone in accordance with environmental regulations.

Not all of the functions described in these instructions are available in all countries.

Preparing to use your phone

The pack contains: one Gigaset E 1 handset, one charger, a power supply unit with power cord, one belt clip for the handset, two batteries, one set of operating instructions.

Removing protective film

The screen is protected by a plastic film. Please remove the protective film!

Inserting the batteries

◆ Insert the batteries the right way round – see illustration left.

◆ Place the cover on the battery compartment about 3 mm

down from the latch and push it up until it clicks into position.

◆ To open the battery cover, press on the chequered area and

slide down.

Use only the rechargeable batteries recommended by Siemens on page 37! Never use conventional batteries (non-rechargeable) or other battery types as this may

cause significant damage to health and property. For example, the jacket of the battery could be destroyed (hazardous). The phone could also malfunction or be damaged.

Placing the handset into the base station and charging the batteries

When you place the handset into the E 150 base, the handset will register automatically to the base. Do the following:

1. Place the handset with the screen facing up in the base station.

2. Wait till the handset has registered automatically to the base. The automatic registration takes around one minute. While this is happening, Registration Procedure flashes in the screen. After registration, the idle screen is displayed.

3. Now leave the handset in the charger for the batteries to charge - the batteries are supplied uncharged. Battery charging is indicated in the top right of the screen by the battery icon flashing.

Should automatic registration be interrupted, register the handset manually as described starting on page 9.

For the initial charge we recommend a continuous, uninterrupted charging period of five hours, whatever

your handset in the charger after each call. This ensures that the batteries are charged in a way that maximises their life.

◆ The batteries heat up during charging. This is

normal and not dangerous.

Manual registration

If automatic registration is interrupted, or if you want to use your E 1 handset on another GAP base, you must register the handset manually. Your Gigaset E 1 can only be registered on one base.

You must initiate handset registration on the handset and on the base.

Please refer to the operating instructions for the base to find out how to initiate handset registration on the base.

Select the menu item and confirm.

Enter the system PIN of the base (0000) and confirm.

Attaching the belt clip

Push the belt clip onto the back of the handset until the lugs click into the recesses on either side of the handset. You can also attach a strap to carry the handset in your hand or around your neck.

To activate the handset press the end call key a. You will hear a confirmation tone (rising tone sequence). The handset activates automatically when placed in the charging shell.

To deactivate the handset, press the end call key a in idle status

The function keys are the right and left keys just below the screen. Their function changes depending on the particular operating situation. The current function is displayed in the screen directly above the key to which it relates. If you can scroll in a list, the icon also appears in the screen å.

Answer a call. Deactivate ringer on handset. Automatic redial key: Open the list of the last

10 numbers you dialled. Confirm menu function or confirm an input and

store. Activates the main menu when in standby.

External calls are calls using the public telephone network.

Inserting a dialling pause

You can insert a dialling pause between the prefix and the actual telephone number. Press and hold the hash key P. Now enter the telephone number.

Making an external call: Enter the phone number and press the talk key. The number is dialled.

Or:

You can also first press the talk key c (you hear a dial tone) and then enter the phone number.

Ending the call: Press the end call key.

You can use the end call key a to cancel dialling.

Answering a call

Your telephone rings, the call is displayed on the screen and the d key flashes on the handset.

Press c (or d), to take the call.

If the handset is in the charger and the Auto Answer function is activated (page 25), then you just need to lift the handset out of the charger to take the call.

Making calls

Handsfree

You can make calls without having to hold the handset. Other persons can also participate in the call.

You should inform your caller that you intend to use the handsfree function before you activate it.

Activating/deactivating handsfree

To activate: press d handsfree key. To deactivate: press c talk key.

As soon as you terminate the handsfree mode you switch to 'earpiece mode' and continue the call on the handset.

Internal calls are free calls between handsets that are registered with the same base. To make an internal call, one of the direct dial keys must be programmed for an internal call (see page 20).

If no one answers, the handset goes into idle status.

While in idle status, press any direct dial key programmed for internal calls.

Direct dial keys

Using the 4 direct dial keys you can save especially important phone numbers, e.g., emergency numbers. You dial the saved number by pressing the corresponding direct dial key.

Refer to the Character Set Chart (page 38) to see how to enter text correctly.

Care

Wipe the base and handset with a damp cloth (use no solvent) or an antistatic cloth. Never use a dry cloth. This can cause static.

Contact with liquid

If the handset should come into contact with liquid, on no account switch the device on. Remove all batteries immediately.

Allow the liquid to drain out of the device, and then pat all parts of the device dry.

Keep the handset with the batteries removed in a warm, dry place for at least 72 hours. In many cases, you will then be able to use it again.

Mise en service du téléphone

L'emballage contient les éléments suivants : un combiné Gigaset E 1, un chargeur, un bloc-secteur avec cordon d’alimentation, un clip ceinture pour le combiné, deux batteries et un mode d'emploi.

Retirer le film de protection

L'écran est protégé par un film. Retirez le film de protection !

Mise en place des batteries

◆ Placez les batteries en respectant la polarité (voir schéma de

gauche).

◆ Positionnez le couvercle décalé d'environ 3 mm par rapport au

bas du téléphone puis poussez-le vers le haut jusqu'à ce qu'il

s'enclenche.

◆ Pour ouvrir, appuyez sur la partie striée et poussez vers le bas.

Attention ! Les combinés supplémentaires Gigaset E1 sont des

produits universels multilangues destinés à l'ensemble

des pays de la communauté européenne. Il y a donc lieu, selon le pays, de régler tout d'abord la

langue pour l'affichage comme indiqué p. 24 de ce manuel.

Mise en service du téléphone

Utilisez uniquement les batteries rechargeables homologuées par Siemens p. 39. N’utilisez jamais de piles normales (non rechargeables) ou d'autres types de batteries, qui peuvent endommager le combiné,

représenter un risque pour la santé ou occasionner des blessures. Par exemple, l'enveloppe des piles ou de la batterie peut se désagréger (dangereux). L'appareil peut en outre subir des dysfonctionnements et des dommages.

Placer le combiné sur la base et charger la batterie

Lorsque vous posez le combiné sur une base E 150, il s'inscrit automatiquement sur cette dernière. Marche à suivre :

1. Posez le combiné éteint sur la base avec l'écran vers le haut.

2. Patientez jusqu'à ce que le combiné s'inscrive automatiquement sur la base. Cette procédure dure une minute environ. Le message Procédure inscription s’affiche à l’écran et clignote. Après l’inscription, l'écran cesse de clignoter.

3. Pour charger la batterie, laissez le combiné sur le chargeur. La batterie n'est pas chargée à la livraison. Le chargement de la batterie est signalé en haut à droite de l'écran par le clignotement du témoin de charge.

En cas d'interruption de la procédure de déclaration automatique, inscrivez manuellement le combiné, comme indiqué p. 10.

Lors de la première charge, il est recommandé de charger les batteries pendant cinq heures sans interruption, sans tenir compte des indications

s'affichant sur l'écran. Pour des raisons techniques, la capacité de charge d'une batterie diminue normalement à l'usage au fil du temps. Elle peut devoir être remplacée à terme.

Mise en service du téléphone

Le témoin de charge des batteries ne s'affiche correctement qu'après un cycle ininterrompu de charge/décharge. Vous devez donc éviter de retirer inutilement la batterie et d'arrêter prématurément le processus de charge.

◆ L’état de charge des batteries n’est affiché que

– pendant la charge – quand les batteries sont vides

◆ Un bip d’avertissement batterie retentit (s’il est

activé, p. 32) quand elles sont presque vides. A l’état de repos, les symboles = et Batterie vide! sont

également affichés.

◆ Une fois la première charge effectuée, vous pouvez

reposer votre combiné sur le chargeur après une communication. La charge est contrôlée électroniquement. Cela permet de préserver les batteries lors de la charge.

◆ Les batteries chauffent pendant la charge ; il s'agit

d'un phénomène normal et sans danger.

Inscription manuelle

Si l’inscription automatique est interrompue ou que vous souhaitez inscrire votre combiné E 1 sur une autre base GAP, vous devez effectuer l’inscription manuellement. Votre Gigaset E 1 ne peut être inscrit que sur une base à la fois.

L’inscription du combiné doit être initiée sur le combiné et sur la base.

PIN Système:

C'est un code personnel confidentiel qui protège les

réglages personnels sensibles et en interdit l'accès aux personnes non autorisées.

Par défaut en sortie d'usine ce code est : 0000 (pas de protection)

Appuyer sur la touche écran pour ouvrir le menu.

Sélectionner et valider.

Entrer le PIN système de la base (0000) et valider.

2. Sur la base

Reportez-vous au mode d'emploi de la base pour savoir comment inscrire le combiné sur la base.

Fixation du clip ceinture

Placez le clip ceinture à l’arrière du combiné et appuyez jusqu’à ce que les « ergots » disposés latéralement s’enclipsent dans les trous. Vous pouvez également installer un cordon pour porter le combiné dans la main ou autour du cou.

Combiné : allumer/éteindre

Pour allumer le combiné, appuyez sur la touche Raccrocher a. Un bip de confirmation (séquence de tonalités croissantes) retentit. Lorsque vous placez le combiné sur le chargeur, il s'allume automatiquement.

Pour éteindre le combiné, appuyez sur la touche « Raccrocher » a de manière prolongée à l’état de repos (bip de confirmation).
