THE TOUCH SCREEN
Smart & Easy microwaves literally lead users through the preparation of
meals with an interactive, step-by-step Touch Screen. Users follow simple
instructions, selecting menu and cooking options by touching the Touch
Screen LCD. Smart & Easy Touch Screen microwaves do the rest, automati-
cally determining when cooking is done, resulting in perfectly cooked foods
each time, every time.
INGREDIENTS
1 c sliced carrots
1 c sliced celery
1/2 c chopped red pepper
1/2 c chopped green pepper
1/2 c sliced green beans
1 large onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
19 oz. can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
19 oz. can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 1/2 c water
1/2 c barley
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
Garnish: Parmesan cheese or sour cream
PROCEDURE
Combine in a 3-quart casserole the first
twelve ingredients. Then stir in remaining
five ingredients. Cover. When you touch
START, the oven will take over to cook
the chili perfectly.

SET THE CLOCK
Plug in the microwave oven. After the introduction, you make your first
choice. Choose from SET CLOCK or VIDEO DEMO. Let’s set the clock.
Select SET CLOCK and follow the prompts.
VIDEO DEMO
The VIDEO DEMO is designed to play on the sales floor continuously; therefore
the melodies are eliminated when VIDEO DEMO is selected, when the oven is
first plugged in. You may press STOP/CLEAR at any time to exit the VIDEO DEMO.
DEMO MODE
Like most other Sharp microwave ovens, this oven is equipped with a HIDDEN
DEMONSTRATION MODE. We recommend HIDDEN DEMO MODE be used at all
times on the sales floor. This mode allows you to demonstrate the operation of
any feature quickly and easily with no microwave energy in the oven. To access
HIDDEN DEMO MODE simply press and hold the STOP/CLEAR for 3 seconds until
you hear an audible tone, then quickly press the STOP/CLEAR four times. A spe-
cial melody will sound when HIDDEN DEMO MODE is set. To exit HIDDEN DEMO
MODE, simply repeat the same procedure.
