Dispatch

Mark the package with UN 3480
It is preferable to use the same packaging that the battery was delivered in. Batteries with a durable, impact resistant outer casing with a gross weight of 12 kg or more may also be transported unpackaged on a pallet or in a pallet with a 2/4 collar. It is important that the battery cannot move.
Issue a goods declaration.
When ordering transport, indicate that dangerous goods are to be transported (Lithium ion batteries, class 9).
The battery is to be sent back to the manufacturer for recycling.

Value calculated amount

It is the choice of the driver whether the transport should be dispatched according to the value calculated amount exception. If the goods are transported as value calculated amount, this must be notified on the goods declaration with an addendum.
Addendum: Transport category 2: X kilograms (X * 3 points)
Handling the battery
X points derives from the weight of the battery multiplied by 3, which gives the number of points.
Only one hybrid battery may be sent at a time as value calculated amount if the battery weighs more than 166 kg and the maximum battery weight is 333 kg.
