1. Purpose
- To inform All ASC’s of information regarding how to verify and repair for charging issue or no power-on of J500 and J700 due to IF PMIC defect.
2. Background
- Charging defect or no power-on for SM-J500/J700 can be caused by IF PMIC defect.
- Refer to the following instruction to verify and repair for such symptoms.
3. Instruction
- In case of abnormal charging or no power-on, replace IF PMIC to verify root-cause.

- How to confirm IF PMIC defect
1) Charging
a) In case of abnormal charging, replace IF PMIC (U4004).
2) No power-on (VBAT short)
a) J500: Remove C4075 In case of VBAT short Replace IF PMIC (U4004)
b) J700: Remove C4064 In case of VBAT short Replace IF PMIC (U4004)
