User Manual Model: PS-7 Digital Postal Scale
Caution! Do overload the scale with a weight much heavier than the maximum capacity list
in this booklet. Normally a load over 200% of the maximum capacity is likely to damage the
scale.
Do not keep weight/loading over the platform continuously, clean up / clear the platform
when you finish weight measurement.
Batteries are highly dangerous if swallowed. Keep batteries and scale out of reach of small
children. If batteries are swallowed, get medical help immediately.
Batteries enclosed (if any) must not be recharged or reactivated by any means. Do not
disassemble, taken apart, thrown into a fire or short-circuited.
Keep children away from packing materials (danger of suffocation).
2.00 General notes for maintenance and troubleshooting:
The device is for personal/domestic use only and is not intended for medical or commercial
applications.
Place the scale on a firm level table/desk; a firm and level surface is preferable for correct
measurement.
The scale should be cleaned occasionally with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive
detergents and never immerse the scale in water.
Protect the scale against hard knocks, moisture, dust and chemicals. Keep away from heat
sources like stove and heating radiators.
Repairs may only be carried out by Brecknell customer service or authorized dealers (per
give list). When device cease function, please first check the batteries and replace if
necessary.

see if foreign substance is stuck in between the platform and main housing.
All scales comply with EC Directive 89/336 + supplements in Europe; in USA, the device is
FCC compatible.

When the battery voltage drops to or below 2.4V, a flashing sign will show:
In this case, user will also see the empty battery icon blinking and once it appears,
user should immediately replace the battery as the low battery condition is likely to
degrade the weight measurement and giving a poor accuracy.
5.20 Battery Disposal and Replacement
Used, fully discharged batteries must be disposed of in a specially labeled
collection container, at toxic waste collection points or through an electrical ret ailer.
You are under legal obligation to dispose of batteries correctly.
When the scale is not expect to be operated for several months or longer, users
should withdraw the batteries from the compartment, because battery leakage will
contaminate the contact causing the device loosing function.
Note: You will find these markings on
batteries containing harmful substances:
Pb = battery containing lead, Cd = battery
containing cadmium, Hg = battery containing
mercury.
