Saba Centra Web Access Enhancements
Saba Centra Web Access is one of the most lightweight web conferencing
clients on the market. With fast launch time, high performance and
scalability, and superior HD VoIP quality, Saba Centra Web Access meets
global web conferencing needs without requiring the user to run a dedicated
application on the desktop.
This release of Saba Centra adds support for leader and co-presenter
functionality in Saba Web Access. Users can join events as leaders or
co-presenters using the browser client.
Leaders and co-presenters can import content into the session when
leading an event in Saba Centra Web Access.
Leaders and co-presenters can give microphone other participants,
promote to co-presenters, and perform other leader-specific tasks such as
initiate recordings and Video display.
Leaders can initiate desktop share via Saba Centra Web Access.
Saba Centra Web Access offers a meeting panel with
collapsible portlets that offer emoticons, audio and
video support, text chat, and meeting management.

Putting a face to the name and voice helps get the message
across better and increases the collaborative experience.
Starting with this release, Saba Centra Web Access supports
a single video stream. The video controls are displayed to the
presenter, who can choose between displaying the presenter’s
video or displaying the video of the participant who is currently
speaking.
Saba Centra Web Access supports auto-scaling of slides,
images, and application share to adjust to the size of the
participant’s browser window. When the media panel is
resized, the content is resized accordingly.
Saba Centra Web Access includes support for leading proxy
servers such as Bluecoat, Microsoft ISA, and Apache proxy
server. The Saba Centra Web Access client also offers support
for secure sessions with complete 128-bit SSL encryption of
all communication between the browser and the server.
Saba Centra Universal App for iPhone and iPad
To further support the mobile workforce, Saba Centra is
releasing a unified client application for iPad and iPhone. In
addition, significant improvements have been made to the
Saba Centra iPhone client application in this release.
Saba Centra 2.0 for iPhone/iPad makes a great Web
conferencing session even better with easier setup, session
access, and content-viewing options. In addition, there are
many new features:
Support for VoIP audio with HD voice
Secure access (via SSL)
Playback of Saba Centra recordings
Guest access to regular and secure Saba Centra sessions
Chat with participants and presenters while in the session

Telephony Enhancements
Saba Centra Telephony Integration (CETI)
Starting with this release, Saba Centra has added support
for integrated telephony in Saba Centra events. Saba Centra
Enhanced Telephony Integration (CETI) allows customers
to manage the audio portion of their meeting from within
the Saba Centra interface, providing a truly seamless user
experience. When configuring CETI, one can choose to allow
leaders, presenters, and participants to request to be called
back by the Audio Conferencing System upon entering the
Saba Centra event and automatically be invited into the
teleconference without entering any access code. Callback
numbers can be set in the user profile or can be set/updated
when in the Saba Centra session prior to initiating callback.

Adapter for Integration With InterCall
Saba Centra provides an adapter for integrating with InterCall’s
audio conferencing service. After the adapter is configured, the
following functionality is available for telephone participants:
Participants can join events and request to have the audio
conferencing provider dial them back.
Participants who were called back are automatically un-
muted when the microphone is given to them and muted
when it is taken away.
Saba Centra optional callback to a user’s telephone number.
Saba Centra product installer.
Tomcat Application Server
Saba Centra adds support for Apache Tomcat 6.0 as the default
application server for the Management Server, replacing Adobe
JRun. This robust, enterprise-grade application server runs with
lower memory overhead and a more optimized memory profile
than JRun, yielding significant performance improvements in the
Saba Centra Management Server.
Platform Enhancements
New Product Installer
Saba Centra is one of the few enterprise-class Web
conferencing solutions to offer a simple, reliable, and easyto-install solution for customers wishing to install the product
behind their firewall. The server components can be installed
and run on just one physical server, or they can be distributed
across multiple servers for greater scalability and redundancy.
To make the installation process even easier, Saba Centra 7.7
comes with a new simplified and reliable “Install Anywhere”
product installer. The installer makes it easy for a system
administrator to install the various server components
including an optional database for the Management Server.
The installer is designed to handle both install and upgrade
scenarios. Customers can easily upgrade to Saba Centra 7.7
from earlier versions of Saba Centra (7.6 SP1 and later) while
preserving user and event data.
Windows Server 2008 R2 Support
To provide improved scalability and performance, Saba Centra
7.7 server components can now be installed on Windows
Server 2008 R2 operating system.
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 builds on the awardwinning foundation of Windows Server 2008. New virtualization
tools, Web resources, management enhancements, and
exciting Windows 7 integration make this release a robust
Windows Server Web application platform that our customers
can upgrade to, secure in the knowledge that Saba Centra
server components can be supported on that version.
E1 Support in Saba Centra Telephony Gateway
The Saba Centra Telephony Gateway makes it possible for
customers to use a teleconference bridge/number of their
choice in a blended Web conferencing session. In this release,
the Saba Centra Telephony Gateway has been certified to

work with telephone systems that work on the E1 standard.
This will ensure that customers in Europe, Asia, and parts
of Central and South America will be able to setup and run
the Centra Telephony Gateway Server in their environments/
behind their firewall and greatly increase the global capability
support of Saba Centra.
Integration With Saba Live
Saba Centra has gone social and is now part of Saba’s
Collaboration Suite. As part of your business network, now
