Antiglare Overlay 3
Precautions
Follow these precautions when installing the overlays on a terminal screen.
• Make sure your hands are clean, free of grease, and dry.
• Handle the overlay by the edges to prevent marking it with fingerprints or
lint. If you get lint or marks on the overlay, remove them before proceeding.
• Do not touch the adhesive ring.
About the Antiglare Overlay
The protective antiglare overlay covers the entire face of the bezel including the
keypad. The antiglare overlay has a protective layer which can be removed by
pulling back on the tab. Do not remove the protective layer until you are ready to
install the overlay.

Install the Overlay
Remove all grease, fingerprints, streaks and lint from the terminal screen by using a
clean, lint-free cloth, and Windex or a similar glass cleaner. Any marks will be
trapped underneath the overlay. Grease also affects the adhesion of the overlay.
Follow these steps to install the antiglare overlay.
1. Grasp the tab and partially peel back the protective layer covering the
overlay from one of the short sides.

Hold the peeled-back portion of the protective layer out of the way as you
perform the next step.

2. Center the antiglare overlay on the terminal and carefully position the
exposed adhesive surface on the terminal.
While the protective layer is still covering the rest of the overlay, verify that
the overlay is properly centered.
3. Slowly peel off the rest of the protective layer, while using a soft cloth to
press the antiglare overlay on the screen.
Make sure that the overlay lies flat with no bubbles or warps.
4. With a soft cloth or the flat surface of a fingernail, press around the edges of
the overlay to completely seal it, and remove any air bubbles trapped in the
adhesive.
Clean the Overlay
Clean the overlay by using a clean, lint-free cloth and Windex or a mild glass
cleaner that leaves no streaks. Avoid cleaners containing abrasives. Eyeglass cleaner
is recommended when possible.
Remove the Overlay
If it is necessary to remove the overlay, lift up a corner and slowly pull the overlay
off. Use isopropyl alcohol to remove any residual adhesive.
Removing the overlay reduces the effectiveness of the adhesive. We recommend
that you do not reuse the overlay.
