Y our Rocktron Rampage R80DSP amplifier has been tested and complies with the following
Standards and Directives as set forth by the European Union:

Standard(s): EN55022, EN50082-1, EN60065
This means that this product has been designed to meet stringent guidelines on how much RF
energy it can emit, and that it should be immune from other sources of interference when
properly used. Improper use of this equipment could result in increased RF emissions, which may
or may not interfere with other electronic products.
To insure against this possibility, always use good shielded cables for all audio input connections.
This will help insure compliance with the Directive(s).

OPERATING TEMPERATURE
Do not expose this unit to excessive heat. This unit is designed to operate between 32° F and
104° F (0° C and 40° C). This unit may not function properly under extreme temperatures.

Front Panel

INPUT JACKS - LOW AND HIGH
Connect the output of your guitar to one of the 1/4”input jacks with a shielded guitar cable. Select
LOW for normal, or HIGH for extra gain. Plugging into the LOW input will attenuate your guitar’s
signal cooling down a “hot” guitar . These two jacks provide slightly dif ferent input levels. Experiment with these and adjust to your tastes.
PREAMP GAIN - DRIVE

Turning this knob clockwise determines the amount of gain (or distortion) added to the signal.
PREAMP GAIN - CLEAN

This knob controls the Clean Channel Level.
CH SELECT - Button & DRIVE LED

Channel Select button - allows you to select between the DRIVE channel or the CLEAN channel.
The DRIVE LED is ON (or lit) when the DRIVE channel is active.
MID SCOOP button

Provides a fixed “scoop” of the mid frequencies for a “metal” sound.
MASTER - Volume Control

The MASTER volume control adjusts the overall sound level.

TREBLE/MID/BASS controls
T one controls or EQ. The BASS control boosts or cuts the amount of low frequency , or bass sound.
TREBLE does the same for high frequencies, MID adjusts the midband frequencies.

SPEAKER SIM Button
Speaker Simulator - Press this button to engage the Speaker Simulator. This button has two functions
1) When using headphones or the line out jack on the back panel engage the Speaker Simulator for a
“model” of the internal speaker - this is ideal for direct recording or jamming along with CDs or tapes in the
headphones.
2) Engaging the Speaker Sim when you are NOT using headphones or the line out will provide a
“creamier” tone to the EQ section. Experient with this and select different pickups on your guitar ...there is a
wide range of tones available.
