Dual 4”× 6” Recording Picture Frame
OWNER’S MANUAL — Please read before using this equipment.
Your RadioShack Dual 4” × 6” Recording Picture Frame has separate recording and play buttons for added convenience. You can record and play back up to 10 seconds of sound to accompa ny each of your favorite pictures. Its recorder uses the latest integrated circuit record­ing technology, so you can record a new message as many times as you like without having to wait for a tape to rewind. Yo u can choose a horizontal or vertical display of the frame.
REMOVING THE BATTERY INSULATION STRIP
To prevent battery drain during shipping, your recording picture frame is shipped with an insulation strip that you must remove before use. To remove the strip, firmly grasp the slip by its end and gently pull it out.
FRAMING A PICTURE
1. Open the picture frame.
2. Place the picture frame vertically on a flat surface then press the button on the top of the picture frame to pop out the inner picture frame.
3. Turn the inner picture frame over and slide down the metal plate until its six slots align with the six holding tabs on the back of the inner frame. Then lift off the metal plate. Remove the sample pic­ture.
4. To frame a 3” × 5” picture, place it on the silver framed plate. To frame a 4” × 6” picture, slide off the silver framed plate and
place the picture in the frame, then slide the silver framed plate from the bottom of the picture frame all the way up until it stops.
5. Position the metal plate with its two convex ribs facing up, the n align its six slots with the six holding tabs on the picture frame and push the plate all the way up until it stops.

6. Insert the inner picture frame’s three locking tabs into the match­ing slots on the bottom of its holder, then press the top of the inner frame down until it clicks securely into place.
7. Repeat Steps 2–6 for the other inner picture frame.

REPLACING BATTERIES
Your recording picture frame comes with four type 357A alkaline but­ton-cell batteries installed. When the sound weakens, replace the bat­teries. For the best performance and longest battery life, we recommend RadioShack alkaline batteries. The recorder continues to store the recorded message even if it loses battery power.
Warnings:
• Keep button-cell batteries away from children. Swallowing a but­ton-cell battery can be fatal.
• Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn or bury them.
Cautions:
• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batterie s of different capacities.
RECORDING A MESSAGE
Follow these steps to record a 10-second message for each pictu re frame.
1. Open the picture frame and hold it about 6 in ches (15 cm) away from your mouth or the sound source.
2. Use the tip of a pen (or other pointed object) to hold down The recording indicator lights and recording begins.
1. Use a mini Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws on the battery compartment cover on the hinge’s back, then lift off the cover.
2. Remove the old batteries. Place the fresh batteries in the com­partment as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and –) marked inside.
3. Replace the cover and secure it with the screws.

CARE
SPECIFICATIONS
Keep the frame dry; if it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately. Use and store the frame only in normal temperature environments. Handle the frame carefully; do not drop it. Keep the frame away from dust and dirt, and wipe it with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new.
Modifying or tampering with the frame’s internal components can cause a malfunction and might invalidate its warranty. If your frame is not performing as it should, take it to your local RadioShack store for assistance.
Limited One-Year Warranty
This product is warranted by RadioShack against manufacturing defects in material and workman­ship under normal use for one (1) year from the date of purchase from RadioSha ck compan y-owned stores and authorized RadioShack franchisees and dealers.
