INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. LOOSEN SCREWS ON J-BOX HALF WAY
(SUPPLIED BY OTHERS).
2a. LOCATE THE BLACK (LINE), WHITE (COMMON),
& GREEN (GROUND) WIRES IN THE J-BOX AND
PASS THESE WIRES THROUGH CENTER HOLE
OF MOUNTING PLATE AS SHOWN IN TOP
FIGURE.
2b. (DIMMING ONLY) THERE WILL BE A GRAY AND
VIOLET WIRE (1 EACH). PASS THESE THROUGH
HOLE WITH OTHER WIRES.
3. ALIGN MOUNTING PLATE TO J-BOX, ROTATE
PLATE COUNTERCLOCKWISE, AND TIGHTEN
WITH SCREWS.
NOTE: THE FIXTURE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO
HANG ON ITS CHAIN AT THIS POINT.
4a. REMOVE J-BOX COVER PLATE. REMOVE
APPROPRIATE KNOCKOUT AND ASSEMBLE
APPROPRIATE CONNECTOR FOR THE SUPPLY
WIRE USED. CONNECT GROUND WIRES TO
GREEN GROUND LEADS. CONNECT WHITE
(COMMON) TO WHITE (LEADS). CONNECT
POWER SUPPLY (LINE) TO BLACK LEAD(S).
REINSTALL J-BOX COVER.
WARNING: DO NOT PINCH WIRES BETWEEN
J-BOX/BALLAST COVER AND J-BOX. CONSULT
A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN FOR ALL OTHER
OPTIONS THAT REQUIRE OTHER WIRING
CONFIGURATIONS.
4b. (DIMMINING ONLY) CONNECT GRAY AND VIO-
LET WIRES (SEE STEP #2b). DIMMING WIRE
CONNECTION MUST
J-BOX TO RETAIN CLASS 2 RATING FOR THE
DIMMING WIRES. MAKE THIS CONNECTION
ONLY AFTER PERFORMING STEP #2b.
IMPORTANT:
DIMMING FIXTURES: 0-10 VOLT CONTROL ONLY.

5. PUSH THE SPLICES INTO THE J-BOX. HOLD UP THE
FIXTURE WHILE DOING THIS TO REDUCE SLACK ON
THE BLACK AND WHITE WIRES.
6. PUSH CHAIN AND GREEN BRACKET GROUND WIRE
INSIDE COVER.
7. ALIGN SIDE HOLES ON COVER TO SIDE HOLES ON
MOUNTING BRACKET AND FASTEN WITH FLAT HEAD
SCREWS SUPPLIED.
8. INSTALL THE DESIRED REFLECTOR AFTER ALL CEILING INSTALLTION AND FINISHING WORK IS COMLETE.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR LAMP POSITIONING
THERE ARE 3 LAMP POSITIONS AVAILABLE FOR THIS
FIXTURE. THE FIXTURE IS SHIPPED AND INSTALLED
IN THE LOWEST (CLOSEST TO REFLECTOR APERTURE) POSITION.
THESE POSITIONS ARE DETERMINED BY AN
ADJUSTABLE BRACKET MECHANISM WITHIN THE
HOUSING. THE 57W VERSION ONLY HAS ONE LAMP
POSITION AVAILABLE.
10a. IF THE LAMP IS A 26W COMPACT FLUORESCENT
LAMP, DO NOT REPOSITION THE LAMP.
10b. IF THE LAMP IS A 32W COMPACT FLUORESCENT
LAMP, PLACE THUMBS AT BOTTOM OF LAMP AND
PUSH UP UNTIL BRACKET MECHANISM CLICKS
INTO MIDDLE POSITION.
10c. IF THE LAMP IS A 42W COMPACT FLUORESCENT
LAMP, PLACE THUMBS AT BOTTOM OF LAMP AND
PUSH UP UNTIL BRACKET MECHANISM CLICKS
INTO TOP POSITION.
11. TO REPOSITION THE LAMP TO A LOWER POSITION,
PULL DOWN ON THE CHAIN SHOWN IN THE LOWER
FIGURE. PUSH ON LAMP UNTIL IT IS IN THE NEW
POSITION (SEE STEPS 10a - 10c).
