INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing one of Phonic’s many quality compact
mixers. The AM440 and AM440D Compact Mixers – designed
by the ingenious engineers that have created a variety of mixers
fantastic in style and performance in the past – displays similar
prociency that previous Phonic products have shown; with
more than a few renements, of course. The AM series features
full gain ranges, amazingly low distortion levels, and incredibly
wide dynamic ranges, just showing the dominance these small
machines will have in the mixing World.
We know how eager you are to get started – wanting to get the
mixer out and hook it all up is probably your number one priority
right now – but before you do, we strongly urge you to take a
look through this manual. Inside, you will nd important facts and
gures on the set up, use and applications of your brand new
mixer. If you do happen to be one of the many people who atly
refuse to read user manuals, then we just urge you to at least
glance at the Instant Setup section. After glancing at or reading
through the manual (we applaud you if you do read the entire
manual), please store it in a place that is easy for you to nd,
because chances are there’s something you missed the rst time
around.

GETTING STARTED
1. Ensure all power is turned off on your mixer. To totally ensure
this, the power supply should not be connected to the unit.
2. All faders and level controls should be set at the lowest
level and all channels switched off to ensure no sound is
inadvertently sent through the outputs when the device is
switched on. All levels can be altered to acceptable degrees
after the device is turned on using the channel setup
instructions.
3. Plug any necessary equipment into the device’s various
outputs. This could include ampliers and speakers,
monitors, signal processors, and/or recording devices.
4. Plug the supplied power cable into the inlet on the back of the
device and then into a power outlet of a suitable voltage.
5. Turn the power switch on and follow the channel setup
instructions to get the most out of your equipment.
CHANNEL SETUP
1. To ensure the correct audio level of the input channel is
selected, each of the level input controls of the Mixer should
be turned counterclockwise or down as far as they will go.
2. No input other than the one being set should have any
device plugged in. This will ensure the purest signal is used
when setting channels.
3. Set the level control of the channel you are setting to the 0
dB mark.
4. Ensure the channel has a signal sent to it similar to the signal
that will be sent when in common use. For example, if the
channel is using a microphone, then you should speak or
sing at the same level the performer normally would during
a performance; if a guitar is plugged into the channel, then
the guitar should also be strummed as it normally would be
(and so on). This ensures levels are completely accurate
and avoids having to reset them later.
5. Set the gain so the Level Meter indicates the audio level is
around 0 dB.
6. This channel is now ready to be used; you can stop making
the audio signal.
7. You can repeat the same process for other channels. Or
not, it’s your call.

MAKING CONNECTIONS
Inputs and Outputs
1. XLR Microphone Jacks
These jacks accept typical 3-pin XLR inputs for balanced and
unbalanced signals. They can be used in conjunction with
microphones – such as professional condenser, dynamic or
ribbon microphones - with standard XLR male connectors, and
feature low noise preampliers, serving for crystal clear sound
replication. The AM440 and AM440D mixers feature four standard
XLR microphone inputs for your convenience.
NB. When these inputs are used with condenser microphones, the Phantom
Power should be activated. However, when Phantom Power button is
engaged, single ended (unbalanced) microphones and instruments should
not be used on the Mic inputs.
2. Line Inputs
This input accepts typical 1/4” TRS or TS inputs, for balanced or
unbalanced signals. There are various numbers of these inputs
depending which mixer you are using. They can be used in
conjunction with various line level devices, such as keyboards,
drum machines, electric guitars, and a variety of other electric
instruments.
3. Stereo Channels
The AM440 and AM440D mixer feature a few stereo channels,
thrown in for maximum exibility. Each of these stereo channels
features two 1/4” TRS phone jacks, for the addition of various
line level input devices, such as electronic keyboards, guitars and
external signal processors or mixers. These Stereo Channels
can also be used as Mono channels, where the signal from any
1/4” phone jack plugged into the Left stereo input will cause the
signal to be duplicated to the Right input due to the miracle of jack
normalizing. This does not work in reverse, however.
4. AUX / Effects Send
These 1/4” TS outputs may be used to connect to an external
digital effect processor, or even to an amplier and speakers
(depending on your desired settings), to the mixer. The signal
sent from these outputs is fed from the AUX send control on the
AM440 and the Digital Effect Processor on the AM440D.
5. Phones
This stereo output port is suited for use with headphones, allowing
monitoring of the mix. The audio level of this output is controlled
using the Phones / Submix control.
6. Main L and R Outputs
These two ports will output the nal stereo balanced line level
signal sent from the main mixing bus. The primary purpose of
these jacks is to send the main output to external devices, which
may include power ampliers (and in-turn, a pair of speakers),
other mixers, as well as a wide range of other possible signal
processors (Equalizers, Crossovers, etcetera).
7. Control Room Outputs
These two 1/4” Phone Jack outputs feed the signal altered by the
Control Room/Phones level control on the face of the mixer. This
output has extensive use, as it can be used to feed the signal
from the mixer to an active monitor, for the monitoring of the
audio signal from within a booth, among other possible uses.
8. Record Out
These outputs will accommodate RCA cables, able to be fed to
a variety of recording devices. such as MD players, and even
laptop computers, ensuring total control over recording quality.
9. 2T Return
These RCA stereo inputs are used to connect the mixer with
external devices, such as tape and CD players, or even Laptop
computers, receiving a signal from another source and feeding it
to the Main L-R mixing bus.
Rear Panel
10. Power Connector
This port is for the addition of a power cable and supply, allowing
power to be supplied to the mixer. Please use the power adaptor
that is included with this mixer only.

CONTROLS AND SETTINGS
Channel Controls
11. Line/Mic Gain Control
This controls the sensitivity of the input signal of the Line/Microphone input. The gain should be adjusted to a level that allows
the maximum use of the audio, while still maintaining the quality
of the feed. This can be accomplished by adjusting it to a level
that will allow the peak indicator occasionally illuminate. All 4
mono channels feature this control.
12. High Frequency Control
This control is used to give a shelving boost or cut of ±15 dB to
high frequency (12 kHz) sounds. This will adjust the amount of
treble included in the audio of the channel, adding strength and
crispness to sounds such as guitars, cymbals, and synthesizers.
13. Middle Frequency Control
This control is used to provide a peaking style of boost and cut to
the level of middle frequency (2.5 kHz) sounds at a range of ±15
dB. Changing middle frequencies of an audio feed can be rather
difcult when used in a professional audio mix, as it is usually
more desirable to cut middle frequency sounds rather than boost
them, thereby soothing overly harsh vocal and instrument sounds
in the audio.
14. Low Frequency Control
This control is used to give a shelving boost or cut of ±15 dB to
low frequency (80 Hz) sounds. This will adjust the amount of bass
included in the audio of the channel, and bring more warmth and
punch to drums and bass guitars.
15. Low Cut Filter (75 Hz)
This button, located on channels 1 through to 4, will activate a
low-cut / high-pass lter that reduces all frequencies below 75
Hz at 18 dB per Octave, helping to remove any unwanted ground
noise or stage rumble.
16. AUX / EFX Control
The AUX control on the AM440 allows the user to send the cor-
responding signal to the AUX mixing bus, the nal level of which
is controlled by the AUX Send control on the main mixing panel.
This signal is then sent to the AUX Send output, which can be
used in conjunction with an amplier and studio or stage monitors, or simply as an auxiliary output for any means required.
The EFX control on the AM440D alters the signal level that is
sent to the EFX mixing bus, which makes its way to the builtin Digital Effects Processor and is in-turn sent through the EFX
send output. These controls are pre-fader, therefore any changes made to the corresponding channel level control are not applied to the AUX or EFX signals.
17. Pan / Balance Controls
This alternates the degree or level of audio that the left and right
side of the main mix should receive. On mono channels, this
control will adjust the level that the left and right should receive
(pan), where as on a stereo channel, adjusting the BAL control will increase the left or right audio signals accordingly (balance).
18. Peak Indicator
This LED indicator will illuminate when the device hits high
peaks, 6 dB before overload occurs. It is best to adjust the gain
of the channel so that the PEAK indicator lights up on intervals
only, if at all. This will ensure a greater dynamic range of audio.
19. Level Control
This rotary control will alter the signal level that is sent from the
corresponding channel to the main mixing bus.
20. +4 / -10 Switch
This button, located on all stereo channels, is used adjust the
input sensitivity of the corresponding channels, which will adapt
the AM440 or AM440D to external devices which may use different operating levels. If the input source is -10 dBV (consumer
audio level), it is best to engage the switch, allowing the signal
to be heard. The +4 dBu level is suitable for Professional Audio
signals, which are considerably higher than the consumer level.
However, if you are unsure of the source’s operating level, we
suggest leaving the switch disengaged until you test the source’s
signal. You can then engage if necessary (if the level of the input
signal is obviously too low).

Digital Effect Section (AM440D only)
21. Digital Effect Display
This 2-digital numeric display shows
the program number that is currently
applied to your EFX audio signal.
When you rotate the Program control, you can scroll through different
program numbers; however the display will revert back to the original
program if a new program is not
selected within a few seconds. For
a list of available effects, please observe the Digital Effect Table.
22. Sig and Clip Indicators
Located within the Digital Effect Display are Clip and Sig LEDs. The Sig
LED will light up when any signal is
received by the effect processor, and the Clip LED will light up
shortly before excessive signals are dynamically clipped. If the
Clip LED lights up too often, it may be advisable to turn down
one or all EFX controls on input channels to ensure the signal
level is not too high.
23. Program Control
This control is used to scroll through the various effects. Turning
the control clockwise will allow users to ascend into higher program numbers, and turning it counter-clockwise will allow users
to descend into lower program numbers. Pushing this control will
apply the new effect. When a tap-delay effect is selected, pressing this control will allow users to select the tap-delay time.
By pushing the button several times, the effect processor interprets the time between last two pushes and remembers this as
the delay time, until the button is pushed again (this is kept, even
after the power is turned off). When the tap delay effect is select-
ed, a small LED will ash within the digital effect display window
at the selected intervals.
24. EFX “to Main” Control
This will adjust the level of the Digital Effect signal that will be
sent to the Main left and right mixing bus to be applied to your
main feed.
25. EFX “to Ctrl” Button
This button is pushed to allow the signal from the Digital Effect
processor to be sent to the Control Room outputs for monitoring
purposes.

Master Section
26. Phantom Power Switch
When this switch is in the on position, it activates +48V of
phantom power for all microphone inputs, allowing condenser
microphones (well, the ones that don’t use batteries) to be
used on these channels. Activating Phantom Power will be
accompanied by an illuminated LED above the left channel Level
Meter. Before turning Phantom Power on, turn all level controls
to a minimum to avoid the possibility of a ghastly popping sound
from the speakers.
NB. Phantom Power should be used in conjunction with balanced
microphones. When Phantom Power is engaged, single ended
(unbalanced) microphones and instruments should not be used on the
Mic inputs. Phantom Power will not cause damage to most dynamic
microphones, however if unsure, the microphone’s user manual should
be consulted.

27. AUX Send Control (AM440 only)
This control adjusts the nal level of the AUX mixing bus (as
taken from the AUX controls on each channel strip), the audio
of which is sent to the AUX Send output (and sent to the Control
Room/Phones output when the AUX to Ctrl button is engaged).
28. 2T Return Routing Buttons
These two buttons allow users to decide the destination of the
signal received by the RCA 2T Return inputs. The “to Main”
button sends the signal to the main mix, whereas the “to Ctrl Rm”
sends the signal to the Control Room mixing bus for monitoring.
29. AUX “to Ctrl” Button (AM440 only)
When this button is activated, the AUX send signal (the level of
which is decided by the AUX send control) will be sent to the
Control Room mixing bus for monitoring purposes.
30. Ctrl Rm / Phones Control
This control is used to adjust the audio level of the Control
Room feed, which is sent to both the Control Room outputs
(for monitoring, acting as side ll or other purposes) and
Phones outputs (to be used in conjunction with headphones for
monitoring).
31. Main L-R Control
This 60mm fader is nal level control for the main left and right
audio feed, sent to the Main L and R outputs.
32. Level Meter
The AM’s stereo 4-segment level meter gives an accurate
indication of when audio levels of the MAIN L/R output reach
certain levels. It is suggested for the maximum use of audio to
set the various levels controls to a level slightly below that which
would cause the Peak LED to light up. This will help you get the
most out of your audio without causing any distortion.
33. +48 Indicator
The +48 Indicator illuminates whenever the Phantom Power is
activated.
34. Power Indicator
The Power Indicator will light up when the power of the mixer
is on.

INTRODUCCIÓN
Gracias por elegir una de las muchas mezcladoras compactas
de calidad de Phonic. Las Mezcladoras Compactas AM440
y AM440D – diseñadas por ingenieros ingeniosos que han
creado una variedad de fantásticas mezcladoras en estilo y
funcionamiento en el pasado – lucen capacidad similar que han
mostrado los productos de Phonic anteriormente, con un poco
más de renamiento por supuesto. La serie AM presenta rango

COMENZANDO
1. Asegúrese que todas las energías en su mezcladora estén
apagadas. Para estar seguro totalmente, el suministro de
energía no debería estar conectado a la unidad.
2. Todos los faders y controles de nivel deberían estar
seteados en el nivel más bajo y todos los canales apagados

CONFIGURACIÓN DE CANAL
1. Para asegurar el nivel de audio de canal de entrada es
correcto, cada control de entrada de nivel debería ser girado
hacia la izquierda o abajo lo más lejos posible.
2. Además de la que está siendo configurada, ninguna
otra entrada debería tener algún dispositivo conectado.
Esto asegurá que se utiliza la señal más pura cuando se
conguran los canales.
3. Setee el control de nivel del canal que está congurando a 0 dB.
4. Asegúrese de que el canal tenga una señal de envío similar
a la señal que será enviada en uso común. Por ejemplo, si
el canal está usando un micrófono, entonces debería hablar
o cantar al mismo nivel que el cantante usaría durante su
presentación. Si se conecta una guitarra en ese canal,
entonces la guitarra también debería utilizarse como es
normalmente (y así sucesivamente). Esto asegura que los
niveles sean completamente precisos y evita tener que
resetearlos luego.
5. Ajuste la ganancia para que el Medidor de Nivel indique el
nivel de audio alrededor de 0 dB.
6. Este canal está ahora listo para usarse; usted puede dejar
de hacer la prueba de audio.
7. Puede repetir el mismo proceso para otros canales o no,
depende de uested.

HACIENDO CONEXIONES
Entradas y Salidas
1. Jacks XLR de Micrófono
Estos jacks aceptan entradas típicas XLR de 3 pines para
señales balanceadas o desbalanceadas. Pueden ser utilizados
junto con micrófonos – tales como de condensador profesional,
dinámicos o de cinta –con conectores machos XLR estándares,
con preamplicadores de bajo ruido, sirven para reproducción
de audio limpio y cristalino. Las mezcladoras AM440 y AM440D
presentan cuatro entradas de micrófono XLR estandares para
su conveniencia.
Nota: Cuando se utilizan estas entradas con micrófonos de
condensador, la Fuente Fantasma deberá ser activada. Sin embargo,
cuando se emplea el botón de Fuente Fantasma, los micrófonos de
simple terminación (desbalanceados) e instrumentos no deberían ser
utilizados en las entradas mic.
2. Entradas de Línea
Estas entradas aceptan entradas típicas de 1/4” TRS o TS para
señales balanceadas y desbalanceadas. Hay varios números
de estas entradas dependiendo de la mezcladora que está
usando. Pueden ser utilizados junto con varios dispositivos de
nivel de línea, como teclados, máquina de tambor, guitarras
eléctricas y una variedad de otros instrumentos eléctricos.
3. Canales de Estéreo
Las mezcladoras AM440 y AM440D presentan pocos canales
de estéreo, añadiendo máxima exibilidad. Cada uno de estos
canales de estéreo presenta dos jacks auricular de 1/4” TRS,
para adición de varios dispositivos de entrada de nivel de línea,
tales como teclados electrónicos, guitarras y procesadores
de señal externos o mezcladoras. Estos Canales de Estéreo
también pueden ser utilizados como Canales Mono, donde la
señal desde cualquier jack auricular 1/4” enchufado dentro de
la entrada izquierda de estéreo causará que la señal se duplica
a la entrada derecha, debido al milagro de la normalización de
jack. Sin embargo, ésto no trabaja al revés.
4. Envío AUX/Efectos
Estas salidas 1/4” TS pueden ser usadas para conectar a
un procesador de efecto digital externo o a un amplificador y
altavoces (dependiendo de sus configuraciones deseadas),
a la mezcladora. La señal enviada desde estas salidas es
alimentada de control de envío AUX en AM440 y de Procesador
de Efecto Digital en AM440D.
5. Audífonos
Este puerto de salida estéreo es para utilizarse con auriculares,
permitiendo monitorear la mezcla. El nivel de audio de esta
salida es controlado usando el control de Audífonos/Submix.
6. Salidas Principal I y D
Estos dos puertos generarán señal final estéreo balanceada
de nivel de línea enviada desde bus de mezcla principal.
El propósito primario de estos jacks es el de enviar la
salida principal a dispositivos externos, que pueden incluir
amplificadores de potencia (alternadamente, un par de
altavoces), otras mezcladoras y también un rango amplio
de otros procesadores de señal posibles (Ecualizadores,
Crossovers, etc.).
7. Salidas de Control Room (Sala de Control)
Estas dos salidas de Jack Audífono 1/4” alimenta la señal
alterada por el control de nivel Control Room/Phones (Sala
de Control/Audífonos) en el panel frontal de la mezcladora.
Esta salida tiene uso extensivo, como puede ser usada para
alimentar la señal desde la mezcladora a un monitor activo,
para el monitoreo de la señal de audio desde una cabina, entre
otros posibles usos.
8. Salida de Grabación
Estas salidas acomodarán a los cables RCA para alimentar a
una variedad de dispositivos de grabación, como reproductores
MD y hasta computadoras portátiles, asegurando un control
total sobre la calidad de grabación.
9. Retorno 2T
Estas entradas estéreo RCA son usadas para conectar la
mezcladora con dispositivos externos, tales como reproductores
de tape y CD, o inclusive computadoras portátiles, recibiendo
una señal de otra fuente y alimentandola a bus de mezcla
Principal I-D.

10. Conector de Energía
Este puerto es para la adición de cable de energía y suministro,
permitiendo que la energía sea suministrada a la mezcladora.
Por favor utilice únicamente el adaptador de energía que está
incluido con esta mezcladora.

CONTROLES Y CONFIGURACIONES
Controles de Canal
11. Control de Ganancia de Línea/Mic
Controla la sensibilidad de la señal de entrada de Línea/
Micrófono. La ganancia debería ser ajustada a un nivel que
permita el uso máximo de audio, mientras siga manteniendo
calidad de la alimentación. Ésto puede ser logrado ajustandolo
a un nivel que permite que el indicador de pico se ilumine
ocasionalmente. Todos los 4 canales mono presentan este
control.
12. Control de Frecuencia Alta
Este control es usado para dar un aumento o recorte de ±15 dB
a los sonidos de frecuencia alta (12 kHz). Ajustará la cantidad
de agudo incluido en el audio del canal, agregando fuerza y
claridad a sonidos como guitarras, címbalos y sintetizadores.
13. Control de Frecuencia Media
Este control es usado para proveer un estilo de pico de
aumento o recorte a nivel de los sonidos de frecuencia media
(2.5 kHz) en un rango de ±15 dB. Cambiando las frecuencias
medias de una alimentación de audio puede ser un poco difícil
cuando se usa en una mezcla de audio profesional, ya que
generalmente se quiere recortar los sonidos de frecuencia
media más que aumentarlos, con lo cual calmando demasiado
voces ásperas y sonidos de instrumentos en el audio.
14. Control de Frecuencia Baja
Este control es usado para dar un aumento o recorte de ±15 dB
a los sonidos de frecuencia baja (80 Hz). Ajustará la cantidad
de grave incluido en el audio de canal y dando más calidez y
fuerza a las baterías y guitarras bass.
15. Filtro de Corte Bajo (75Hz)
Este botón, localizado en canales 1~4, activará un filtro de
corte-bajo/paso-alto que reduce todas las frecuencias debajo
de 75Hz en 18dB por Octava, ayudando a eliminar cualquier
ruido ambiental o de escenario no deseado.
16. Control AUX/EFX
El control AUX en AM440 permite al usuario enviar la señal
correspondiente a bus de mezcla AUX, su nivel final es
controlado por el control de Envío AUX en el panel de mezcla
principal. Esta señal es entonces enviada a la salida de Envío
AUX, que puede ser utilizada junto con un amplificador y
monitores de estudio y de escenario, o simplemente como una
salida auxiliar como sea requerido. El control EFX en AM440D
altera el nivel de señal que es enviado a bus de mezcla EFX,
y de ahí a Procesador de Efectos Digitales y alternadamente
enviado por la salida de envío EFX. Estos controles son prefader, por lo tanto cualquier cambio hecho a control de nivel de
canal correspondiente no es aplicado a las señales AUX o EFX.
17. Controles de Paneo/Balanceo
Alterna el grado o nivel de audio que los lados izquierdo y
derecho de la mezcla principal deberían de recibir. En los
canales mono, este control ajustará el nivel que el izquierdo y
derecho deberían de recibir (paneo). Mientras que en canales
estéreo, ajustando el control BAL incrementará las señales de
audio izquierda o derecha (balanceo).
18. Indicador de Pico
Este indicador LED se iluminará cuando el dispositivo alcanza
a picos altos, 6dB antes de la sobrecarga. Es mejor ajustar la
ganancia de canal de manera tal que el indicador de PICO se
ilumina solamente en intervalos. Ésto asegurará mayor rango
dinámico de audio.
19. Control de Nivel
Este control rotatorio alterará el nivel de señal que es enviado
de canal correspondiente a bus de mezcla principal.
20. Interruptor +4 / -10
Este botón, localizado en todos los canales de estéreo, se
utiliza para ajustar la sensibilidad de entrada de canales
correspondientes, que adaptarán AM440 o AM440D a
dispositivos externos que podrían usar diferentes niveles de
operación. Si la fuente de entrada es de -10 dBV (nivel de audio
de consumidor), es mejor emplear el interruptor, permitiendo
que se oíga la señal. El nivel +4 dBu es para señales de Audio
Profesional, que son considerablemente más altas que las de
nivel de consumidor. Sin embargo, si usted no está seguro de
nivel de operación de la fuente, le sugerimos que no utilice el
interruptor hasta que testee la señal de fuente. Luego puede
emplearlo en caso necesario (si el nivel de la señal de entrada
es evidentemente demasiado bajo).

21. Display de Efecto Digital
Este display numérico de 2 digitales
muestra el número de programa
que está aplicado actualmente a
su señal de audio EFX. Cuando
gira el control de programa, usted

números de programa; sin embargo,
el display regresará al programa
original si el nuevo programa no
se selecciona dentro de pocos

22. Indicadores Sig y Clip
Los indicadores LEDs de Clip y Sig están localizados dentro de
Display de Efecto Digital. El LED de Sig se iluminará cuando
cualquier señal es recibida por el procesador de efecto y, el
LED de Clip se iluminará brevemente antes de que las señales
excesivas sean cortadas dinámicamente. Si el LED de Clip se
ilumina demasiado frecuente, se aconseja bajar uno o todos los
controles EFX en canales de entrada para asegurar que el nivel
de señal no está demasiado alto.
23. Control de Programa
Este control se utiliza para desplazarse por los distintos efectos.
Girando el control en sentido de reloj permitirá a los usuarios
ascender a números de programa más altos y, girando en
sentido contrario descender a números más bajos. Pulsando
este control se aplicará el nuevo efecto. Cuando un efecto tapdelay es seleccionado, presionando este control permitirá a los
usuarios a seleccionar el tiempo de tap-delay.
Al pulsar el botón varias veces, el procesador de efecto
interpreta el tiempo entre las dos últimas pulsadas y toma
éste como el tiempo de delay, hasta que el botón sea pulsado
nuevamente (éste se guarda, aún después de apagar el
equipo). Cuando el efecto de tap delay está seleccionado, un
pequeño LED se destellará dentro de la ventana de display de
efecto digital en los intervalos selccionados.
24. Control EFX “to Main”
Ajustará el nivel de la señal de Efecto Digital que será enviada
a bus de mezcla Principal izquierdo y derecho para ser aplicada
a su alimentación principal.
25. Botón EFX “to Ctrl”
Este botón es pulsado para permitir que la señal de procesador
de Efecto Digital sea enviada a las salidas de Control Room
para propósitos de monitoreo.
Sección Maestro
26. Interruptor de Fuente Fantasma
Cuando este interruptor está en la posición de encendido, se
activa +48V de fuente fantasma para todas las entradas de
micrófono, permitiendo que los micrófonos de condensador
(bueno, los que no utilizan baterías) sean usados en estos
canales. La activación de Fuente Fantasma será acompañada
por un LED iluminado sobre el canal izquierdo de Medidor de
Nivel. Antes de encender la Fuente Fantasma, regule todos
los controles de nivel a mínimo para evitar la posibilidad de un
sonido súbito horroroso saliendo de los altavoces.
Nota: La Fuente Fantasma debería ser utilizada junto con los micrófonos
balanceados. Cuando se emplea la Fuente Fantasma, los micrófonos
de simple terminación (desbalanceados) e instrumentos no deberían
ser utilizados en entradas Mic. La Fuente Fantasma no causará daño a
la mayoría de los micrófonos dinámicos, sin embargo, si está inseguro
debería consultar el manual del usuario.
27. Control de Envío AUX (AM440 solamente)
Este control ajusta el nivel nal de bus de mezcla AUX (como
tomado desde los controles AUX en cada tira de canal), el
audio de cual es enviado a la salida de Envío AUX (y enviado a
la salida Control Room/Phones cuando se emplea el botón AUX
a Ctrl).
28. Botones de Ruteo de Retorno 2T
Estos dos botones permiten a los usuarios a decidir la
destinación de la señal recibida por las entradas de Retorno
RCA 2T. El botón “to Main” envía la señal a la mezcla principal,
en tanto “ to Ctrl Rm” envía la señal a bus de mezcla de Control
Room para monitorear.
29. Botón AUX “to Ctrl” (AM440 solamente)
Cuando se activa este botón, la señal de envío AUX (su nivel
es decidido por el control de envío AUX) será enviada a bus de
mezcla de Control Room para propósitos de monitoreo.
30. Control Ctrl Rm / Phones
Este control es usado para ajustar el nivel de audio de la
alimentación de Control Room (Sala de Control), que es
enviada a las salidas de Control Room (para monitorear, actuar
como relleno lateral u otros propósitos) y a las salidas Phones
(para ser utilizada junto con auriculares para el monitoreo).
31. Control Principal I-D
Este fader de 60mm es el control de nivel final para la
alimentación de audio principal izquierdo y derecho, enviado a
las salidas Principal Izquierda y Derecha.
32. Medidor de Nivel
El medidor de nivel estéreo de 4 segmentos de AM brinda una
indicación precisa de cuándo los niveles de audio de la salida
PRINCIPAL I/D llegan a ciertos niveles. Se sugiere para uso
máximo de audio setear los varios controles de niveles a un
nivel ligeramente debajo de el que podría causar que se ilumine
el LED de Pico. Ésto le ayudará a obtener lo mejor de su audio
sin causar ninguna distorsión.
33. Indicador +48
El indicador +48 se ilumina cuando la Fuente Fantasma se

准备工作
1. 开机前应关闭所有电源,断开AC电源线.
2.
将音量滑杆和旋钮调节至最小,同时关闭所有声道,以避免开机
时声音特别洪亮.开机后,再将音量调整至理想位置.
3.
把所需连接的设备,如信号处理器,键盘,麦克风,吉它等插入调音
台的输入插孔.
4.
将AC电源线插入调音台后侧的AC插孔,另一端插入电压相符的
的插座.
5.
打开电源开关,根据说明操作此调音台.

连接操作
输入和输出
1. XLR麦克风输入
此插孔为3芯XLR输入,连接麦克风接收平
衡和非平衡信号--如专业的动圈式麦克风
和铝带式麦克风--带标准XLR阳性接口和
低噪音的前置功放 ,可提供清 晰明朗的音
质.AM400和AM440D调音台设有4个标准
的XLR麦克风输入.
注意:当使用动圈式麦克风时,应打开幻象电源.但使用幻象电源时,严禁在输
入麦克风接口上接入非均衡式的麦克风和乐器.
2. 高电平输入
此输入声道兼容平衡和非平衡的1/4”TRS或TS输入,有多个输入接
口,可选择性的连接各种设备,如电子琴,鼓声仿真器,电吉它和多种
电器乐器.
3. 立体声道
AM440和AM440D设有多个立体声道,提供了更多的选择空间.任
一立体声道为典型的1/4”TRS耳机插孔,以连接不同的高电平输入
设备,如电子琴,吉它和外部信号处理器或调音台.此立体声道还可
用作单声道,信号经1/4”耳机插孔输送至左立体声输入后会自动复
制到右输入.反之则不然.
4. 辅助/效果返送
这些 1/4”TS输 入 可 连 接 一 个外 部 信 号 处理 器 ,或 功放 和 喇 叭
.AM440的输出信号馈自辅助返送,440D的馈自效果处理器.
5. 耳机输出
此立 体 输 出 端 子适 用 于 耳 机,可 监 听 混音 .耳 机 输 出的 音 量 由
Phones/Submix控制.
6. Main L和Main R输出
这两个端子可输出由主混音总线调节的最终立体声电平信号.主要
功能是将主输出信号传送至外部设备,如电源功放,其它的调音台,
以及各种信号处理器(均衡器,分频器).
7. 控制室输出
这两 个 1/4”耳机插孔 输 出 由 调 音台面板上 的 Phones/Control
Room调节的信号,作用广泛,可将调音台信号传送至有源音箱等.
8. 录音输出
此输出经RCA插座可连接多种录音设备,如MD播放器,便携式电脑.
9. 2T返送
此RCA立体输入可连接外部设备,如CD播放器,便携式电脑,可从外
部接收信号并传送至Main L-R混音总线.

11. 高电平/麦克风增益控制
此功能控制 Line / Mic Gain Control输入信号的灵敏度. 适当调节
增益量,可输出最大音量,并保证高保真音质.调节至适当的电平时,
峰值指示灯将为亮,所有的单声道都伴有此功能.
12. 高频控制
此控制可对高频12KHz的频率进行±15dBu的增强和衰减,以调节
声道,增加力道,如吉它,音钹,音乐合成器.
13. 中频控制
此控制可对中频进行±15dBu的增强或衰减调节.要调节中频率并
非易事,人们往往希望对中频进行削弱而非增强,以此缓和刺耳的
人声和乐器声.
14. 低频控制
此控制可对低频80Hz进行增强或衰减调节,范围是±15dBu,可对声
音进行暖色处理,增加吉它,鼓声及电子琴的力道.
15. 低通滤波器(75Hz)
此钮1至4声道都有设置,可进行低通滤波,减少在18dB每八度音阶,
低于75Hz的频率,以消除杂音.
16. 辅助/效果控制
AM440的AUX辅助控制可将主混音板上的 AUX Send 调节的最
终信号传送至AUX混音总线.输往 AUX Send 输出的信号可直接
连接至功放,演播室,或舞台监听,或直接作为其它设备的辅助输出
.AM440D的EFX效果控制可使信号经效果控制总线传输至数位效
果处理器或馈返至效果输出.这两种控制为前衰减信号,对声道进
行的调节将不影响AUX辅助和EFX效果输出的信号.

主控制区
26. 幻象电源开关
打开幻象电源开关,即可提供+48V电源,为电容式麦克风供电.开启
幻象电源时左声道电平表上LED闪灯也将工作.在打开幻象电源时
,应将所有电平控制钮打至最低,避免启动时音箱声音异常洪亮.
注意:幻象电源只与电容式麦 克风兼容,若 不使用麦克风应关闭幻象电源,以
免损坏调音台线路.
27. 辅助输出控制(只适用于AM440)
此旋钮控制AUX混音总线输往AUX Send输出的信号.
28. 2T返送控制
这两个钮可控制RCA 2T Return输入接受到的信号的传输目的地
.选择“to Main”可将信号传输到主混音,选择“to Ctrl”则将信号传输
到控制室混音总线以备监听.
29. AUX“to Ctrl”控制
打开此开按钮,即将AUX输出信号传送至控制室以备监听.
30. 控制室/耳机控制
此旋钮可调节 Control Room 控制室输往控制室输出和耳机输出
的信号.
31. Main L-R控制
该60mm的衰减器可最终调节主右音频和主左音频输往 Main L 和
Main R 的信号.
32. 电平表
此MA调音台的立体4段电平表可对 Main L/R 输出的信号作出准
确的显示.有效的使用电平表时,Peak LED灯将时常闪亮.

20. +4/-10开关
所有 立 体 声 道 上 的 此旋钮可调节 对 应 声
道的输入 灵敏度 ,使得 AM440/440D可 兼

为-10dBV(消费音频),则应开启此 开关.而
+4dBV为专业音频讯号,电平要高于消费音
频,无 需打 开此开关.如果您无法把握输入
源的操作电平,我们建议您关闭此开关.
数位效果控制区(只适用于AM440D)
21. 数位效果显示器
这个两位数字显示器可显示当前应用于EFX Audio Signal的节目
数值.当切换节目时,可滚动显示节目数值.如果数秒内不进行节目
选择,显示值将回复至原节目.其它的功能,请参照数位效果表.
22. Sig和Clip指示灯
位于数位效果显示区,在效果处理器接受信号时,Sig灯将变亮,当超
强信号突然回还前Clip灯将变亮.如果Clip灯频繁闪亮时,请将一个
或所有的EFX控制关小,以免信号电平过高.
23. 节目控制
此旋钮用于滚动各种效果.顺时针旋转,可调节较高的节目数值,逆
时针旋转可调节较低的节目数值.按此按钮将用于新功能.选择节

There are potentially hundreds of ways to connect instruments and devices to the AM Mixers. It is advisable that you explore the functions
and nd the best setup possible for your needs, which may depend on what instruments you wish to connect, as well as how many external
devices you wish to connect and your required monitoring applications. Combining the use of different instruments with the mixer’s special
functions (such as digital effect processing, in the case of the AM440D) will ensure that your audio sounds exactly the way you want it.
