Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of a Phonic ClubX loudspeaker
system. Phonic’s ClubX speaker line is exquisitely engineered
for the consummate audio professional. The ClubX achieves its
incredibly transparent sound and powerfully rich bass by using
premium components including cast aluminum baskets, 1.5”,
2.5”, 3’’ and 4’’ atwire voice coils, and 1” or 1.75’’ pure titanium
membranes.
Each ClubX component was designed from scratch to ensure
that the unit performs in perfect harmony, rather than the sum of
random parts. The ClubX’s topnotch components also enable it
to operate with poise at extraordinary high SPLs. ClubX power
ratings are certied using IEC 268-5 rating system so users can
operate at high power levels without speaker failure. The ClubX’s
twelve M8 suspension points, dual-angle pole mounts, rotatable
90°x60° horn, and ergonomically placed handles give the series
versatility for installation and portability.
This user’s manual was designed to give you enough information
to setup and install the ClubX speakers wherever you may need.
Phonic advises that before you use the Phonic ClubX speaker
that you read the information provided in this manual, then store
the manual in an easy to remember place for future reference.

Operation & Mounting
Standalone
If you simply wish to use the loudspeaker on its own and not utilize
the M8 y points, you can simply set the speaker on an appropriate
at surface. The ClubX 2-way models have two possible operating
modes when running standalone speakers. The speakers can be
sat upright, where the four rubber feet sit rmly on the ground (to
prevent skidding when the speaker runs at high output levels).
2-way models also have a 45 degree slant on one side that allows
the unit to be tipped on its side and face up towards a performer.
This is called “oor monitor” mode.
Pole Mounting
The Phonic ClubX 8, ClubX 10, ClubX 12 and ClubX 15 all feature
two sockets for pole mounting. The rst allows for straight, direct
coverage by simply placing the speaker on top of a 35mm speaker
stand. The second pole mount socket offers an 8 degree angle that
will position the speaker at a slight downward angle. By using this
mounting point and slightly raising the speaker stand will increase
the overall coverage by the ClubX speaker. The ClubX 18SB also
offers a pole mounting slot on top. This socket can be used to insert
a mounting pole that can carry one of the previously mentioned
2-way speakers right on top of it.

Suspension
ClubX 2-way models feature twelve M8 ypoints for the installation of M8 bolts. These bolts can then be used for suspending the speaker
from walls and ceilings. Phonic advises that only experienced and qualied personnel perform suspension of speakers to ensure complete
safety. It’s important to remember that if speakers are not securely suspended they may come loose and fall, potentially causing injury.
Below you can nd three possible suspension types.
Connections
The ClubX passive loudspeakers all feature speakon connectors
for speaker input and link/thru outputs. Input is received on pin 1 of
the ClubX’s input jacks, while the signal is sent directly through to
the “thru” outputs. On the ClubX 2-Way models, the “In” and “Thru”
jacks are interchangeable. This means that either connector can
be used as an input, and the other is then used as the “Thru” jack.
These “Thru” outputs allow the speakers to share the power from
a single amplier. In this event, the total speaker amperage should
be halved. For example, two 8 ohm ClubX speakers will lower the
amperage to 4 ohms. This means the amplier that powers the
speaker should be able to offer 4 ohm operation.
High Pass / Thru (ClubX 18SB)
The ClubX 18SB features an independent “thru” port that allows
the input signal to pass through in its entirety to additional passive
speakers to share the power of the connected amplier. Users can
also apply a high pass lter to the outgoing signal by switching the
“High Pass / Thru” switch to the high pass position. The subwoofer
itself has an internal low-pass lter permanently activated. This
ensures that only low-frequency signals are passed through to
the subwoofer, creating deeper and more lush bass while also
protecting the subwoofer itself.

ClubX de Phonic. Los altavoces de Phonic de la serie Clubx están

Operación y Montaje
Posición
Si sólo desea utilizar el altavoz en sí mismo y no utilizar los puntos
de anclaje M8, sólo tiene que plazar el altavoz sobre una supercie
plana adecuada. Los modelos ClubX de 2 vías tienen dos modos
de operación posibles. Los altavoces pueden ser sentados en
posición vertical, donde los cuatros pies de goma aseguran una
posición rme en el suelo (para evitar el arrastre cuando el altavoz
funciona a altos niveles de salida). 2 vías de modelos también
tienen una inclinación de 45 grados en un lado. Esto se conoce
como modode “monitor de suelo”.
Montaje en Poste
El ClubX Phonic 8, ClubX 10, 12 y ClubX 15 Todas disponen
de dos conectores para montaje en postes. La primera permite
una cobertura recta, directa, colocandoen toda simplicidad el
altavoz en la parte superior de un soporte de altavoz de 35 mm.
El segundo polo de montaje ofrece un ángulo de 8 grados que
coloca el altavoz en un ángulo ligeramente hacia abajo. Al utilizar
este punto de montaje y levantando ligeramente el soporte del
altavoz aumentará la cobertura general del altavoz ClubX. El
18SB ClubX también ofrece una ranura de montaje en poste en
la parte superior. Este enchufe se puede utilizar para insertar un
poste de montaje que se puede llevar en la parte superior a uno
de los altavocesde 2 vías mencionados anteriormente.

Suspensión
Los modelos ClubX de 2 vías cuentan con doceM8ypoints para la instalación de tornillos M8. Estos tornillos se pueden utilizar para
suspender el altavoz de las paredes y techos. Phonic informa que sólo el personal experimentado y cualicado realice la suspensión de
los altavoces para garantizar una seguridad completa. Es importante recordar que si los altavoces no están bien suspendidos pueden
aojarse y caerse, causando posibles lesiones muy graves. A continuación puede encontrar tres tipos de suspensión posibles.
Conexiones
Todoslos altavoces pasivos ClubX comportan conectores speakon
para entradas de altavoz y enlace (salidas”Thru”). La entrada
se recibe en el pin 1 de las conexiones de entrada de la ClubX,
mientras que la señal se envía directamente a través de las
salidas “Thru”. En los modelosClubX de 2 vias, las tomas “IN” y
“Thru” son intercambiables. Esto signica que cualquier conec-
tor puede ser utilizado como una entrada, y el otro se utilizara
entonces como conector “Thru”. Estas salidas “Thru” permiten
que los altavoces puedan compartir la potencia a partir de un solo
amplicador. En este caso, el amperaje total de altavoces sera
reducido a la mitad. Por ejemplo, dos altavoces ClubXde 8 ohmios
bajarán la intensidad de corriente de 4 ohmios. Esto signica que
el amplicador que alimenta el altavoz debe ser capaz de ofrecer
4 ohmios durante la operación.
Paso Alto / Thru (ClubX 18SB)
El ClubX18SB cuenta con un puerto independiente “thru” que
permite que la señal de entrada pueda pasar en su totalidad
a otros altavoces pasivos y comparte el poder del amplicador
conectado. Los usuarios también pueden aplicar un ltro de paso
alto a la señal de salida al cambiarla posicióndel interruptor de
“Thrua paso alto” (“Thru aHigh Pass”). El propio subwoofer tiene
un ltro DE paso bajo permanentemente activado. Esto asegura
que sólo las señales de baja frecuencia pasan a través del altavoz
de subgraves (SUBWOOFER), creando graves más profundas-
protegiendo el subwoofer.
