Einleitung
Wir beglückwünschen Sie zum Kauf Ihres neuen
Gerätes. Sie haben sich damit für ein hochwertiges
Produkt entschieden. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist
Teil dieses Produkts. Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise
für Sicherheit, Gebrauch und Entsorgung. Machen
Sie sich vor der Benutzung des Produkts mit allen
Bedien- und Sicherheitshinweisen vertraut. Benutzen Sie das Produkt nur wie beschrieben und für
die angegebenen Einsatzbereiche. Händigen Sie
alle Unterlagen bei Weitergabe des Produkts an
Dritte mit aus.
Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Das Gerät ist zum Entfernen von Wildwuchs zwischen Gehwegplatten, auf gepflasterten Flächen,
an Mauerwerken, in Beeten sowie in Rasenflächen
während der Wachstumsperiode, zum Entfernen
von Farbanstrichen, zum Erwärmen (z. B. von
Schrumpfschläuchen) und zum Verformen und
Verschweißen von Kunststoffen geeignet. Es kann
ferner dafür eingesetzt werden, Klebeverbindungen
zu lösen, Wasserleitungen aufzutauen und den
Grill zu entzünden. Jede andere Verwendung oder
Veränderung des Gerätes gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß und birgt erhebliche Unfallgefahren.
Für aus bestimmungswidriger Verwendung entstandene Schäden übernimmt der Hersteller keine
Haftung. Das Gerät ist nicht für den gewerblichen
Einsatz bestimmt.

Der in den Sicherheitshinweisen
verwendete Begriff „Elektrowerkzeug“ bezieht sich auf netzbetriebene
Elektrowerkzeuge (mit Netzkabel /

Das Eindringen von Wasser in ein

wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder bezüglich des sicheren Gebrauchs des

mit dem Gerät spielen. Reinigung

► Dieses Werkzeug muss auf seinen Ständer
aufgelegt werden, wenn es nicht in Gebrauch
ist.

Ein Brand kann entstehen, wenn mit
dem Gerät nicht sorgsam umgegangen wird.

Sicherheitshinweise für
Festbrennstoffanzündern
■ Überprüfen, dass der Festbrennstoff-
anzünder sich in der richtigen Lage
befindet.
■ Vom Netz trennen, bevor er aus
dem Feuer genommen wird.
■ Vor dem Wegpacken den Fest-
brennstoffanzünder Abkühlen
lassen.
■ Die Anschlussleitung oder andere
brennbare Materialien dürfen nicht
mit den heißen Teilen des Festbrennstoffanzünders in Berührung
kommen.

senöffnung am Ausblasrohr.

VERBRENNUNGSGEFAHR!
► Berühren Sie nicht die heiße Düse.
■ Tragen Sie Schutzhandschuhe.
■ Tragen Sie eine Schutzbrille.
■ Ziehen Sie bei Arbeitspausen, vor
allen Arbeiten am Gerät (z. B.
Wechsel der Vorsatzdüse) und bei
Nichtgebrauch immer den
Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.
■ Halten Sie mit dem Düsenausgang
einen Abstand zum Werkstück oder
der zu bearbeitenden Fläche. Ein
Luftstau kann zur Überhitzung des
Gerätes führen.
■ Das Gerät muss stets sauber, tro-
cken und frei von Öl oder Schmierfetten sein.
■ Verwenden Sie das Gerät niemals
zweckentfremdet.
Bedienung
Vor der Inbetriebnahme
Gerät montieren
HINWEIS
► Das Kabel muss wie in der Abbildung A
dargestellt, im Gerät geführt werden.
Legen Sie das Kabel mit einer Schlaufe in das
Gerät. Es darf nicht am Gehäuse des Gerätes
überstehen. Der Deckel des Gehäuses muss
sich dabei leicht aufsetzen lassen.
Achten Sie darauf, dass sich das Kabel nicht
einklemmt.
♦ Setzen Sie den Deckel auf das Gerät und
schrauben Sie es mit den mitgelieferten Montageschrauben fest (siehe Abb. A).
Standbügel
♦ Befestigen Sie den Standbügel
(siehe Abb. B).
Inbetriebnahme
♦ Schieben Sie die Schlaufe des Verlängerungs-
kabels in die dafür vorgesehene Zugentlastung
im Handgriff und fixieren Sie diese in
dem dafür vorgesehenen Steg.
♦ Schließen Sie das Gerät mit einem Verlänge-
rungskabel an eine Steckdose (230 V Wechselstrom) an.
♦ Schalten Sie das Gerät ein, indem Sie den
EIN- /AUS-Schalter
Nach ca. 1 Min. ist die volle Betriebstemperatur
erreicht.
♦ Zur Unkrautbeseitigung setzen Sie nun die
Kegeldüse

♦ Bei höheren Pflanzen erwärmen Sie zunächst
nur kurz den oberen Bereich der Pflanze und
setzen dann auf die geschrumpfte Pflanze die

HINWEIS
► Das Gerät ist besonders geeignet, um Un-
kraut zu beseitigen.
► Die Unkrautbeseitigung ist in einem frühen
Stadium des Vegetationsbeginns am wir-
kungsvollsten.
► Der geeignete Zeitpunkt ist im Frühling.
► Die Behandlung ist am intensivsten, je jünger
die Pflanze ist. Der Erfolg der Maßnahme ist
aber nicht sofort sichtbar.
Durch eine längere Einwirkzeit/Behandlung
kann der sichtbare Teil der Pflanze auch
abgebrannt werden.
► Die Pflanzen reagieren nicht sofort auf die
Wärmestrahlung, bei der empfohlenen
Einwirkdauer.
Grundsätzlich gilt:
Junge weichblättrige Pflanzen reagieren am
empfindlichsten auf eine Behandlung. Sie
sind danach nicht mehr lebensfähig.
► Ältere Pflanzen mit harten Blättern, wie z. B.
Disteln, müssen häufiger in einem Abstand
von ca. 1 - 2 Wochen Behandelt werden,
damit sie austrocknen.
Hartlaubige Gräser sind sehr robust und
müssen länger behandelt werden.
► Am Anfang muss die Behandlung von
durchwachsenen Flächen mehrfach kurzfristig
wiederholt werden, damit sich ein bleibender
Erfolg einstellt. Danach sind Behandlungen in
längeren Abständen ausreichend.
► Ein Verbrennen der Pflanzen ist nicht zwin-
gend notwendig. Beim erhitzen werden die
Zellen der Blätter trocken und das Unkraut
stirbt ab.
► Eine wiederholte Behandlung von bestimmten
Unkrautarten kann erforderlich sein.

► Vor dem Wechsel der Düse müssen Sie
sicherstellen, das die Düse abgekühlt ist, um
Verbrennungen zu vermeiden.
Kegeldüse
♦ Ziehen Sie die Kegeldüse
ab.
Spachteldüse

♦ Stecken Sie die Spachteldüse

♦ Die Spachtelform dieser Düse dient der
gezielten Heißluftzufuhr. Verwenden Sie zum
Ablösen von Farbe und Lacken einen separaten

♦ Vermeiden Sie zu lange Hitzeeinwirkung, denn
verbrannter Lack lässt sich nur sehr schwer
entfernen. Viele Klebemittel können Sie durch
Wärme erweichen. Die Klebeverbindungen
lassen sich dann trennen und überschüssiger
Kleber entfernen.

♦ Stecken Sie die Reduzierdüse

Entfrosten von Wasserrohren:
HINWEIS
► PVC-Rohr darf nicht aufgetaut werden.
► Äußerlich sind Wasserleitungen von Gaslei-
tungen häufi g nicht zu unterscheiden. Fragen
Sie im Zweifel immer einen Fachmann.
► Kupferleitungen sind mit Zinn verbunden und
dürfen nicht über 200°C erhitzt werden.
Schraubverbindungen lösen:
♦ Erwärmen Sie die Schraubverbindung vorsichtig
mit Heißluft und die Schrauben lassen sich dann
in der Regel bequem lösen.
Grillkohle anzünden:
WARNUNG!
► Benutzen Sie keinen Brennspiritus.
♦ Stecken Sie die Grilldüse
rohr.
♦ Stecken Sie die Grilldüse
Achten Sie darauf dass die letzten drei Grilldüsenlöcher frei bleiben.
♦ Sobald die Holzkohle Glut entwickelt hat, das
Gerät aus der Grillkohle entfernen.

Kerzenleuchter, mit der dem Produkt angemessenen Vorsicht, von Restwachs.

Die Verpackung besteht aus umweltfreundlichen Materialien, die Sie über die örtlichen Recyclingstellen entsorgen können.
Werfen Sie Elektrowerkzeuge nicht in
den Hausmüll!
Gemäß Europäischer Richtlinie 2012/19/EU
müssen verbrauchte Elektrowerkzeuge getrennt
gesammelt und einer umweltgerechten Wiederverwertung zugeführt werden.
Möglichkeiten zur Entsorgung des ausgedienten
Gerätes erfahren Sie bei Ihrer Gemeinde- oder
Stadtverwaltung.
Entsorgen Sie die Verpackung
umweltgerecht.
Beachten Sie die Kennzeichnung auf
den verschiedenen Verpackungsmaterialien und trennen Sie diese gegebenenfalls gesondert. Die Verpackungsmaterialien sind gekennzeichnet mit
Abkürzungen (a) und Ziffern (b) mit
folgender Bedeutung:

bei Ihrer Gemeinde- oder Stadtverwaltung.
Das Produkt ist recycelbar, unterliegt
einer erweiterten Herstellerverantwortung und wird getrennt gesammelt.
Garantie der
Kompernaß Handels GmbH
Sehr geehrte Kundin, sehr geehrter Kunde,
Sie erhalten auf dieses Gerät 3 Jahre Garantie ab
Kaufdatum. Im Falle von Mängeln dieses Produkts
stehen Ihnen gegen den Verkäufer des Produkts
gesetzliche Rechte zu. Diese gesetzlichen Rechte
werden durch unsere im Folgenden dargestellte
Garantie nicht eingeschränkt.
Garantiebedingungen
Die Garantiefrist beginnt mit dem Kaufdatum. Bitte
bewahren Sie den Kassenbon gut auf. Dieser wird
als Nachweis für den Kauf benötigt.
Tritt innerhalb von drei Jahren ab dem Kaufdatum
dieses Produkts ein Material- oder Fabrikationsfehler
auf, wird das Produkt von uns – nach unserer Wahl
– für Sie kostenlos repariert, ersetzt oder der Kaufpreis erstattet. Diese Garantieleistung setzt voraus,
dass innerhalb der Dreijahresfrist das defekte Gerät und der Kaufbeleg (Kassenbon) vorgelegt und
schriftlich kurz beschrieben wird, worin der Mangel
besteht und wann er aufgetreten ist.
Wenn der Defekt von unserer Garantie gedeckt ist,
erhalten Sie das reparierte oder ein neues Produkt
zurück. Mit Reparatur oder Austausch des Produkts
beginnt kein neuer Garantiezeitraum.
Garantiezeit und gesetzliche
Mängelansprüche
Die Garantiezeit wird durch die Gewährleistung
nicht verlängert. Dies gilt auch für ersetzte und
reparierte Teile. Eventuell schon beim Kauf vorhandene Schäden und Mängel müssen sofort nach
dem Auspacken gemeldet werden. Nach Ablauf
der Garantiezeit anfallende Reparaturen sind
kostenpflichtig.
Garantieumfang
Das Gerät wurde nach strengen Qualitätsrichtlinien
sorgfältig produziert und vor Auslieferung gewissenhaft geprüft.
Die Garantieleistung gilt für Material- oder Fabrikationsfehler. Diese Garantie erstreckt sich nicht auf
Produktteile, die normaler Abnutzung ausgesetzt
sind und daher als Verschleißteile angesehen werden können oder für Beschädigungen an zerbrechlichen Teilen, z. B. Schalter, Akkus oder Teile, die aus
Glas gefertigt sind.
Diese Garantie verfällt, wenn das Produkt beschädigt, nicht sachgemäß benutzt oder gewartet wurde.
Für eine sachgemäße Benutzung des Produkts sind
alle in der Bedienungsanleitung aufgeführten
Anweisungen genau einzuhalten. Verwendungszwecke und Handlungen, von denen in der Bedienungsanleitung abgeraten oder vor denen gewarnt wird, sind unbedingt zu vermeiden.
Das Produkt ist nur für den privaten und nicht für
den gewerblichen Gebrauch bestimmt. Bei missbräuchlicher und unsachgemäßer Behandlung,
Gewaltanwendung und bei Eingriffen, die nicht
von unserer autorisierten Serviceniederlassung
vorgenommen wurden, erlischt die Garantie.
Garantiezeit gilt nicht bei
■ normaler Abnutzung der Akkukapazität
■ gewerblichen Gebrauch des Produktes
■ Beschädigung oder Veränderung des Produktes
durch den Kunden
■ Missachtung der Sicherheits- und Wartungs-
vorschriften, Bedienungsfehler
■ Schäden durch Elementarereignisse

Abwicklung im Garantiefall
Um eine schnelle Bearbeitung Ihres Anliegens
zu gewährleisten, folgen Sie bitte den folgenden
Hinweisen:
■ Bitte halten Sie für alle Anfragen den Kassen-
bon und die Artikelnummer (z.B.IAN123456)
als Nachweis für den Kauf bereit.
■ Die Artikelnummer entnehmen Sie bitte dem Ty-
penschild am Produkt, einer Gravur am Produkt,
dem Titelblatt der Bedienungsanleitung (unten
links) oder dem Aufkleber auf der Rück- oder
Unterseite des Produktes.
■ Sollten Funktionsfehler oder sonstige Mängel
auftreten, kontaktieren Sie zunächst die nachfolgend benannte Serviceabteilung telefonisch
oder per E-Mail.
■ Ein als defekt erfasstes Produkt können Sie dann
unter Beifügung des Kaufbelegs (Kassenbon)
und der Angabe, worin der Mangel besteht und
wann er aufgetreten ist, für Sie portofrei an die

Congratulations on the purchase of your new appliance. You have selected a high-quality product.
The operating instructions are part of this product.
They contain important information about safety,
usage and disposal. Before using the product,
please familiarise yourself with all operating and
safety instructions. Use the product only as described and for the specified areas of application.
Please also pass on these operating instructions to
any future owner.
Intended use
The appliance is suitable for the removal of wild
growth between paving slabs, on brick-paved areas, on walling, in flowerbeds and in lawns during
the growth periods, for the removal of paintwork,
for heating (e.g. of heat-shrinkable tubing) and for
the deformation and welding of plastics. It can also
be used for separating glued joints, thawing frozen
pipes and lighting barbecues. Any other usage of
or modification to the appliance is deemed to be
improper and carries a significant risk of accidents.
The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for
damage(s) attributable to misuse. The appliance
is not intended for commercial use.

Safety information for solid
fuel lighters
■ Check that the solid fuel lighter is
in the correct position.
■ Disconnect from mains before re-
moving from fire.
■ Allow solid fuel lighter to cool down
before packing away.
■ The power cable or other flamma-
ble materials may not come into
contact with hot components of the
solid fuel lighter.

Careless use of the appliance can

■ Always remove the plug from the
power socket during work breaks,
when adjusting the appliance (e.g.
changing nozzles) and when it is
no longer in use.
■ Keep the nozzle at a distance from
the workpiece or the area being
processed. A build-up of hot air can
result in damage to the appliance.
■ The appliance must always be
kept clean, dry and free from oil or
grease.
■ Never use the appliance for purpos-
es other than the ones for which it
was designed.
Operation
Before Operation
Mount the device
HINWEIS
► The cable must be routed in the device as
shown in figure A. Insert the cable with a
loop into the unit. It must not exceed the
housing of the appliance. The cover of the
housing must be easy to install. Make sure
that the cable is not pinched.
♦ Place the cover on the device and screw it with
the supplied mounting screws (see Fig. A).
Mount the stand
♦ Attach the stand to the unit (see Fig. B).
Operation
♦ Push the loop of the extension cable into the
provided strain relief in the handle and
fix it to the bar provided.
♦ Connect the appliance to a power socket (230
V alternating current) using an extension cable.
♦ Switch the appliance on by pressing the ON/
OFF switch
reached after approx. 1 minute.
♦ To kill weeds, now place the cone nozzle
onto the plant to be treated for around 5-10
seconds depending on the type of plant.
♦ For taller plants, first only heat the upper section
of the plant briefly and then place the cone nozzle
5-10 seconds.
NOTE
► This appliance is particularly suitable for
removing weeds.
► Weedkilling is most effective at an early
stage of vegetation growth.
► The most suitable time is during spring.
► The treatment is at its most intensive the
younger the plant is. However, the success
of the measure is not immediately visible.
The visible section of the plant can also be
burnt off with a longer exposure time/treat-
ment.
► Plants do not react immediately to the heat ra-
diation with the recommended treatment time.
The following applies as a basic principle:
young, soft-leaved plants react most sensit-
ively to treatment. They are subsequently no
longer capable of survival.
► Older plants with hard leaves such as thistles
must be treated more frequently at an interval
of between 1 and 2 weeks in order to make
them dry out.
Winter-green grasses are extremely robust
and require longer treatment.
► To begin with, overgrown areas must be
treated several times at short intervals in
order to produce long-term success. After this,
treatment at longer intervals is sufficient.
► Burning the plants off completely is not essen-
tial. During heating, the leaf cells dry out and
the weed will die.
► Repeated treatment of certain types of weed
may be necessary.

Shutting down
♦ Release the ON/OFF switch .
♦ Always replace the appliance on the stand
after use on a level, fi reproof underlay until the
hot components have cooled down.

that the nozzle has cooled down to avoid
burns.

► Water and gas pipes are often indistinguish-
able from the outside. If in doubt, always ask
a professional.
► Copper pipes are soldered and may not be
heated to above 200°C.

worn-out power tools be collected separately and
recycled in an environmentally compatible manner.
Your local community or municipal authorities can
provide information on how to dispose of the wornout appliance.

warranty
Dear Customer,
This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from
the date of purchase. If this product has any faults,
you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your
statutory rights are not restricted in any way by the
warranty described below.
Warranty period and statutory claims for
defects
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs
effected under the warranty. This also applies to
replaced and repaired components. Any damage
and defects present at the time of purchase must
be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs
carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall
be subject to a fee.
Warranty conditions
The warranty period starts on the date of purchase.
Please keep your receipt in a safe place. This will
be required as proof of purchase.
If any material or manufacturing fault occurs within
three years of the date of purchase of the product,
we will either repair or replace the product for you
or refund the purchase price (at our discretion).
This warranty service requires that you present the
defective appliance and the proof of purchase (receipt) within the three-year warranty period, along
with a brief written description of the fault and of
when it occurred.
If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or replaced by us. The
repair or replacement of a product does not signify
the beginning of a new warranty period.
Scope of the warranty
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality guidelines and inspected
meticulously prior to delivery.
The warranty covers material faults or production
faults. The warranty does not extend to product
parts subject to normal wear and tear or to fragile
parts which could be considered as consumable
parts such as switches, batteries or parts made of
glass.
The warranty does not apply if the product has
been damaged, improperly used or improperly
maintained. The directions in the operating instructions for the product regarding proper use of the
product are to be strictly followed. Uses and
actions that are discouraged in the operating
instructions or which are warned against must be
avoided.
This product is intended solely for private use and
not for commercial purposes. The warranty shall
be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper
handling, use of force and modifications / repairs
which have not been carried out by one of our
authorised Service centres.
The warranty period does
