Attention

The noise canceling function
Environmental noises in airplanes, trains, and buses, and
noise caused by air-conditioners is reduced by a third,
providing a quieter listening environment. This function
allows you to enjoy music without raising the volume too
high, and is, therefore, kinder to your ears.
This unit mainly reduces the annoying low frequency
sounds below 1500 Hz. For this reason, sounds with higher
frequency portions, from car horns, telephones and human voices, remain relatively intact.

Turn down the volume on the audio equipment
or in-flight audio system and insert the earphone plug (3.5 mm stereo) into the phone jack
(use the plug adapter if necessary).
The earphone plug and the plug adapter may not suit
the jacks used on some aircraft.
Check the sides (L and R), then put the earphones on.
• Start play on the audio unit and adjust its volume; or,
• Adjust the volume on the in-flight audio system.
Turn on the noise canceling function.
Switch [OPR] to “ON”.
The [OPR] indicator lights.
Select the noise canceling level with [NOISE
CANCEL].
Select “MAX” under normal circumstances. Select
“MID” for a lower level of noise canceling.
Adjust the volume.
Volume changes when the noise canceling function is on. Adjust the volume with [VOLUME] on the
controller or readjust the volume on the source.
You may have to change the position of the earphones
to get the best noise canceling effect.
Notes on use
• Noise may occur due to dirt on the plug. Clean the plug
with a soft dry cloth if this occurs.
• Take care that noise from your earphones does not annoy those around you.

Gebrauch des Ohrhörers
Drehen Sie die Lautstärke am Audiogerät bzw. an
der Bord-Stereoanlage zurück und schließen
Sie den Ohrhörerstecker (3,5-mm-Stereostecker)
an die Ohrhörerbuchse an (bei Bedarf können Sie
den Zwischenstecker verwenden).
Der Ohrhörerstecker oder der Zwischenstecker
passt u.U. nicht in die in manchen Passagierflugzeugen vorhandenen Buchsen.
Überprüfen Sie die Markierungen (L und R), die
zur Kennzeichnung der linken und rechten
Ohrmuschel dienen, und setzen Sie den
Ohrhörer dann auf.
• Beginnen Sie mit der Wiedergabe am

Os ruídos ambientais em aviões, comboios e
autocarros, bem como o ruído provocado por
aparelhos de ar condicionado é reduzido em cerca de

silenciosa. Esta função permite-lhe desfrutar da música
sem aumentar demasiado o volume, o que é mais

Os auriculares reduzem, sobretudo, os sons

Quando substituir a pilha
Deve substituir a pilha quando o indicador [OPR] ficar
esbatido ou não se acender. A função de eliminação
do ruído torna-se menos eficiente à medida que a pilha
se gasta.
Se a pilha estiver totalmente descarregada ou não tiver
introduzido nenhuma pilha, os auriculares funcionam
como auriculares normais.
Utilizar os auriculares
Reduza o volume do equipamento de áudio ou
do sistema do som do avião e introduza a
ficha dos auriculares (3,5 mm, estéreo) na
tomada para auriculares (se necessário, utilize
o adaptador de ficha ).
A ficha dos auriculares e o adaptador de ficha
podem não ser adequadas às tomadas utilizadas
em alguns aviões.
Verifique os lados (L e R) e coloque os auriculares.
• Ligue o equipamento de som e regule o volume; ou,
• Regule o volume do sistema de som do avião.
Ligue a função de eliminação de ruído.
Coloque [OPR] na posição “ON”.
O indicador [OPR] acende-se.
Seleccione o nível de eliminação de ruído
com [NOISE CANCEL].
Em circunstâncias normais, seleccione “MAX”.
Seleccione “MID”, para um nível de eliminação
de ruído mais baixo.
Regule o volume.
O volume muda quando a função de eliminação de
ruído está activada. Regule o volume com [VOL-
UME] no controlador ou reajuste o volume na fonte.
Pode ter de mudar a posição dos auriculares para obter
o efeito óptimo de redução de ruído.
Notas sobre a utilização
• As fichas sujas podem provocar ruído. Se isso
acontecer, limpe a ficha com um pano seco e macio.
• Deve ter cuidado para que o ruído dos auriculares
não incomode as pessoas que o rodeiam.

I rumori ambientali negli aerei, treni e autobus,
e quelli causati dai climatizzatori vengono ridotti
di un terzo creando un ambiente d’ascolto più
tranquillo. Questa funzione permette di ascoltare
la musica senza alzare troppo il volume, ed è
perciò più confortevole per le orecchie.
Questa unità riduce principalmente i fastidiosi
suoni di bassa frequenza sotto i 1.500 Hz.
Per questo motivo, i suoni con parti di
frequenza più alta, come le trombe dell’auto,
i telefoni e le voci umane rimangono
relativamente intatti.
