Panasonic KV-S3105C Scanner Maintenance

Pull the front door release

Important!!!

Do NOT use canned air to clean scanner. The air can force dust behind the scan glass.

1. Clean approximately every 20,000 scans.

a. It may need cleaning more frequently, depending on the material being scanned.
b. Also, clean the rollers if paper misfeeding or double-feeding occurs frequently.

i. Roller cleaning kit (KV-SS03) is recommended. If you do not have the cleaning kit, you may

use a microfiber cloth with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol or water.

ii. Do Not use detergent, thinner or benzene as this can damage the rollers.

iii. Cleaning kit (KV-SS03) can be purchased from your reseller.

iv. Clean all rubber feed rollers.

Note: When wiping off the dirt on the rollers,

Open the DFP (double-feed prevention) Roller

Clear the Clean Roller
Warning after cleaning.

Clean the scan glasses if vertical streaks appear on scanned images.

After cleaning rollers, Press the key and the key

hold the roller to prevent it from turning.
Wipe the rollers all the way around in the
direction of the arrows.

Door as shown in picture 3 below. Wipe the
DFP roller in direction shown (illustration 4).

Then close DFP roller door.

Clean the 6 drive rollers and 6 free rollers as shown below

Clean both scan glasses

simultaneously. The “Clean Roller Warning” will be
cleared. Then “Completed” will be displayed.

Use a dry, microfiber cloth to clean the glass. If dirt remains on glass,
you may use an alcohol wipe followed by the microfiber cloth.
