User's Manual for The GUIDE Plus+ system
Your DMR-EH50, DMR-EH52 DVD Recorder can display a television
programme list for analogue broadcast.
You can enjoy various useful features such as displaying the television
programme list for up to the next 7 days and perform easy timer recordings
by simply selecting the desired programmes from the television programme list.
Receiving the television programme list (Guide Plus+ List)
The television programme list is not displayed immediately after purchasing
the unit. You must complete initial setup for GUIDE Plus+ System.
The settings for the television programme list are also automatically set during
this initial setup. After setup is complete, the unit becomes ready to download
the data for the television programme list.
The television programme list is transmitted several times a day by the host
(the television station transmitting the television programme list).

This unit receives the television programme list when it is in standby mode.
Press the power button to put the unit in standby mode so that it can download
the data.
One data transmission takes approximately 2 hours.
(During transmission, “GUIDE” appears on the display of the unit and the
cooling fan operates. If you turn on the unit while “GUIDE” appears, the data
download is interrupted.)
The GUIDE Plus+ system only requires one data transmission a day to
maintain a television programme list although data is transmitted several times
a day. If this unit is in standby mode during a data transmission, the new data
is automatically downloaded and the television programme list is updated.
(If the system is unable to receive programme data because the unit is being
used, your television programme list does not change).
Depending on the time zone established for the unit, it may take approximately
one day before you can display the television programme list.
The stations displayed in the television programme list are determined
according to geographical areas.
A station that is not registered in your area is not displayed in the television
programme list even if a signal can be received.

First, connect your DVD Recorder DMR-EH50, DMR-EH52 and perform the basic
settings. Please read the setup information in the operating instructions for your DVD
Recorder DMR-EH50, DMR-EH52.
Note
The receipt of the GUIDE Plus+ system data is only possible via the antenna
input of your DVD Recorder DMR-EH50, DMR-EH52. The receipt of the GUIDE Plus+
data via externally connected satellite receivers or digital set-top boxes is not
possible.
You can then setup the GUIDE Plus+ system.
Auto-Setup of the GUIDE Plus+ System
In order to receive data, the country, date and time of your current location must be
set in the basic settings of the unit. When the unit is first set up, the Auto-Setup menu
for the GUIDE Plus+ system will appear (picture A) after the station search or the
automatic station configuration (Q-Link). For more information on the basic
settings, please refer to the operating instructions of your unit.
You can not setup the GUIDE Plus+ system if the clock is not set.
To set up the GUIDE Plus+ system, use [ ] to select "Yes" and press [ENTER]

(picture A).
If you do not want to setup, select "No". You can perform the Setup at a later point
in time by launching the GUIDE Plus+ system.

Enter the Postal Code of your location with [ ] or the number buttons on the
remote control and press [ENTER] (picture B).
Should your Postal Code change, you can update this information at a later
point in time in the Setup of the GUIDE Plus+ system (page 5).
Use [ ] to select "Yes" and press [ENTER] (picture C). The GUIDE Plus+ data is

loaded. This takes approximately 2 hours. If "No Data" appears for a station after
the loading procedure, check the settings in the Editor of the GUIDE Plus+ system
(page 5). Select "No" if you do not want to load the GUIDE Plus+ data. You can
load the GUIDE Plus+ data at a later point in time using the Setup of the GUIDE
Plus+ system (page 5).

The GUIDE Plus+ data are loaded automatically when you leave your unit in

standby mode for 24 hours.

Note: After the GUIDE Plus+ system has been set up, the data is automatically
updated several times each day.
To guarantee an update, switch your unit to standby mode and do not take your
unit offline. During the update, "GUIDE" appears in the display of your unit. If you
turn on the unit while "GUIDE" appears, the data update is interrupted.
After switching your unit to standby mode, the GUIDE Plus+ data is saved and
remains saved if the unit is later taken offline.
If a station changes its programming on short notice, the GUIDE Plus+ programme
information can deviate from the actual programme.
If you didn't receive any data, please read the following
information:
It is not possible to receive GUIDE Plus+ in all countries (table: List of Host
Channels). It takes approx. 1 hour to search for the Host Channel. If no Host
Channel was found, a message appears "No Host Channel detected".
Please check whether the right Host Channel has been allocated (table: List of
Host Channels; adjustment page 5). Which channels appear in the GUIDE Plus+
list depends on local reception conditions. Sub-optimum reception quality can
result in missing or incomplete GUIDE Plus+ data (picture D).

Launching and Operating the GUIDE Plus+ System
Two convenient GUIDE Plus+ lists (Landscape view and Portrait view) in which you
can select the desired station and display programme information are available in the
GUIDE Plus+ system.
Direct Access:

Press [GUIDE] on your remote control.
The GUIDE Plus+ list is displayed.
Access via the FUNCTIONS Menu:

Press [FUNCTIONS] on your remote control.

Use [ ] to select the GUIDE Plus+ menu and press [ENTER] (picture E)
The GUIDE Plus+ list is displayed.

Note: Additional information is available for some programmes.
These programmes have the symbol (page 4).
Landscape view in the GUIDE Plus+ System
The approximate programme start times are shown in the time bar in 30-minute
increments. As soon as you select a programme, the complete programme
name (picture F) and time appear in the line above the time bar.

Use [ ] to navigate within the GUIDE Plus+ list (picture F).
Only current and future programmes are shown.

You can also turn the smart wheel on your remote control to select an item.
Turning right: Move the cursor downwards.
Turning left: Move the cursor upwards.

TIMER RECORDING in the GUIDE Plus+ System
You can select a programme (even if "No Data" is displayed) that you want to record
in the GUIDE Plus+ list and transfer it directly to the TIMER RECORDING menu.
Select the desired programme with [ ] in the GUIDE Plus+ list

(picture F/G, page 3). Press [ENTER]. The TIMER RECORDING menu appears on
the screen with the information on the selected programme (picture H).
Use [ ] to select the recording medium (HDD/DVD). When the recording drive is

DVD and there is not enough remaining space, recording automatically switches to HDD.
Use [ ] to select Mode. You can change the recording mode with [ ].

Use [ ] to select VPS/PDC. You can turn VPS/PDC manually On or Off using [ ].
Note Please refer to the operating instructions of your unit for more information on

recording mode and VPS/PDC.
You can manually change Name, Date, Start and Stop of the recording by selecting

them with [ ] and changing them using [ ].
To manually change the name of the programme you like to record select Programme
Name using [ ] and press [ENTER]. The Programme Name screen appears.
Note: Please refer to the operating instructions of your unit for more information on

changing the programme name.
After you have changed and set your programme name, the TIMER RECORDING
screen appears again.
Press [ENTER] to save and return to the GUIDE Plus+ list.

Press [TIMER] to switch the unit to TIMER-standby mode. The TIMER

symbol appears in the display of your unit.
The GUIDE Plus+ list can still be launched by pressing the [GUIDE] button.

Note: No television picture will appear in the preview screen in the GUIDE
Plus+ list. Programmes programmed with TIMER RECORDING have the symbol

Additional information (name of programme, programme duration, broadcast time,
short description) is available for some programmes.
These programmes have the symbol . You can display this information.
Select the programme with the symbol using [ ].

Press [ ]. The programme information appears (picture J).

To perform a TIMER programming from the information menu, press [ENTER]

(TIMER RECORDING in the GUIDE Plus+ system).
To hide the information, press [ ] again.

Selecting the programme from the desired category in the
GUIDE Plus+ System
The Programme Type function lets you display a GUIDE Plus+ list sorted by main
category (e.g. Movies, Sport). Each main category will contain individual sub
categories. The GUIDE Plus+ list for the selected main category only appears
in the Portrait view.
Press the BLUE button to display the list of main categories.

Use [ ] to select the desired main category.

The sub menu for the selected main category appears (picture K).
Example: Select the main category Movies using [ ].
The sub category with several movie categories appears
(e.g. All, Action, Animation, Comedy, Drama, Romance, Sci Fi, Thriller, Adventure).

Use [ ] to go to the sub category menu.
Make your selection (e.g. Action) using [ ] and press [ENTER].

A list appears with all programmes of the selected main category and the selected
sub category (picture L)
Use [ ] to go through the GUIDE Plus+ list.

Use [ ] to change the station.
The GUIDE Plus+ list appears for the selected categories for this station.
To exit the list, press [RETURN].

You can change the basic settings for your GUIDE Plus+ list in the
SUB MENU of the GUIDE Plus+ list.

Press [GUIDE] to launch the GUIDE Plus+ list.

Press [SUB MENU]. The sub menu is displayed (picture M).

Use [ ] to select "Setup" and press [ENTER]. The Setup menu of the GUIDE
Plus+ system appears with the corresponding settings (picture N).

Use [ ] to select the desired menu item and press [ENTER].
Postal Code
The entry of the Postal Code is required to receive regional data.
Entry of the wrong Postal Code can lead to the receipt of wrong or no data.

To change the Postal Code, use [ ] to select "Yes" and press [ENTER].

Use [ ] or the number buttons to enter your Postal Code and press [ENTER].

Note: Existing information can be lost by changing the Postal Code.
Host Channel
The GUIDE Plus+ System information is transferred via the Host Channel.
Wrong entries lead to incorrect data. The "Auto" setting is recommended.
A Host Channel is then set by the system automatically.

To change the Host Channel manually, use [ ] to select the desired station
and press [ENTER].

Use [ ] to select "Yes" and press [ENTER].
The setting of the Host Channel can take some time.
Note
Note: Existing information can be lost by changing the Host Channel.
Data Download
To update the information, use [ ] to select "Yes" and press [ENTER].
The update can take approximately 2 hours.
Auto Download Priority
The GUIDE Plus+ data update takes place several times each day.
In the timeframe shown in the menu, recordings programmed with the TIMER
RECORDING menu can be incomplete; otherwise, recordings programmed with
the TIMER RECORDING menu always have priority.
"GUIDE Plus+": In the timeframe shown in the menu, the GUIDE Plus+
Data transfer has priority over the recordings programmed with
the TIMER RECORDING menu. Recordings programmed with the
TIMER RECORDING menu are not started or are interrupted
for the data update.
"Timer Prog.": If recordings are programmed with the TIMER RECORDING

Use [ ] and [ ] to change the "On/Off" settings and press [ENTER].
Reference
If "No Data" appears in the GUIDE Plus+ list for a station (picture P), this station is
either not supported by the GUIDE Plus+ data or a GUIDE Plus+ Reference could
not be clearly assigned ("----" appears in the Reference field of this station in the
Editor menu) (picture O). In this case, set the appropriate Reference manually.
You can also manually assign the appropriate Reference if a station name
was not recognised (e.g. ***6).

Note: The station names in the Reference list can deviate from the station list.

Use [ ] to select the desired station name.
Use [PAGE ] to browse through the station list.

Use [ ] and [ ] to change the "Reference" setting of the
appropriate station and press [ENTER].
Note
Changes in the station list in the Setup menu of your unit will cause all Editor
settings to return to the initial condition. Please refer to the operating instructions of
your unit.

Questions and answers
Check whether GUIDE Plus+ system setup was performed in full. / The GUIDE Plus+ system data is
updated several times each day. When the device is first connected, the GUIDE Plus+ system is not yet
ready to receive data. / The device takes approx. 1 hour (on average 30 minutes) to find the Host Channel.
After this, it takes up to 24 hours to load all of the data. / Switch your DVD recorder to Standby mode to
save the data. / Check whether the clock is properly set. / If signal quality is bad (ghost images or limited
reception), the GUIDE Plus+ system may not be able to receive any data. This problem may be solved with
a reception amplifier.
The data rate, at which GUIDE Plus+ is sent, is limited. Depending on the country, signal quality and
number of channels received, the time until the GUIDE Plus+ system is ready can vary.
These stations may not have been able to be identified automatically. => For these stations, select the “On”
in the SUB MENU under Editor and assign the correct reference station manually (page 5). / Some stations
are not supported by the GUIDE Plus+ system.
The reference station is not assigned correctly in the SUB MENU Editor (page 5). Select the correct
reference station. / There was a programme change. Check the current program, e.g. on the Web site for the
GUIDE Plus+ system provider or station provider.
For these stations, select “On” / “Off” manually in the SUB MENU under Editor (page 5). /
You can only view stations that are supported by the GUIDE Plus+ system.

Check whether "Timer Prog." is set under Auto Download Priority and change the setting in "GUIDE Plus+"
(page 5).
The update frequency depends on the specific station (several times per day). / The data is updated
automatically when the unit is in Standby mode. / Select "GUIDE Plus+" under "Auto Download Priority"
(page 5). With this setting, an update will take place automatically between 2:50 and 5:10.
During data transfer, "GUIDE" appears on your unit’s display and the unit’s fan switches on.
You can manually change the start and end time of TIMER programmes in the TIMER RECORDING menu
(page 4).
The GUIDE Plus+ system works independently of VPS/PDC. However, you can programme TIMER
recordings with VPS / PDC in the TIMER RECORDING menu.
The unit is not in TIMER standby (TIMER symbol " " lights up in the unit’s display). / Make sure that "GUIDE
Plus+" is selected under Auto Download Priority and change the setting to "Timer Prog." (page 5).
Programme the Timer recording manually or via ShowView.
The "T" symbol appears in the GUIDE Plus+ when a TIMER recording is programmed with the GUIDE Plus+
system. To cancel a TIMER RECORDING programming, press [PROG/CHECK]. Select the desired entry
and press [CANCEL] (page 4).
No, only via the built-in tuner. To perform timer recordings with satellite receivers or Set Top Boxes, please
use the External Link feature or your unit’s manual timer programming.
The GUIDE Plus+ system data will not be updated. / If the unit is disconnected from the power supply for a
longer period of time, then the GUIDE Plus+ data is lost. / Make sure that the time is set again appropriately.
Change the postal code in the GUIDE Plus+ Setup menu (page 5). If necessary, perform a full Auto-Setup
(page 2). Saved GUIDE Plus+ data may be lost.
Select "Shipping Condition" in the Setup menu. Attention: All settings and data are lost if you reset the unit to
its default state.

Bedienungsanleitung für das GUIDE Plus+ System
Ihr DVD Recorder DMR-EH50, DMR-EH52 verfügt über eine interaktive
Programmübersicht bei analogem Fernsehempfang. Sie können verschiedene
Funktionen nutzen, wie zum Beispiel die Anzeige der Programmvorschau für
die nächsten 7 Tage oder eine einfache Aufnahmeprogrammierung durch
direkte Auswahl der gewünschten Programme aus der Programmvorschau.
Empfang der Fernsehprogrammliste (Guide Plus+ Programmliste)
Sie können die Fernsehprogrammliste beim erstmaligen Einschalten des
Gerätes noch nicht anzeigen. Führen Sie zuerst das komplette Setup für das
GUIDE Plus+ System durch. Während des Setups werden automatisch die
Grundeinstellungen für die Fernsehprogrammliste vorgenommen.
Danach kann das Gerät die Daten für die Liste laden.
Die GUIDE Plus + Daten werden mehrmals täglich über einen Datensender
ausgestrahlt. (Der Datensender ist die Fernsehstation, welche die
Fernsehprogrammliste sendet.)
Dieses Gerät empfängt und aktualisiert die Fernsehprogrammliste im StandbyModus. Um das Gerät in den Standby-Modus zu schalten drücken Sie die
Standby / On Taste am Gerät oder auf der Fernbedienung.
Eine Datenübertragung dauert ca. 2 Stunden. (Während der Datenübertragung
erscheint "GUIDE" im Display Ihres Gerätes und der Lüfter des Gerätes schaltet
sich ein. Wenn Sie das Gerät einschalten, während "GUIDE" im Display
erscheint, wird die Datenübertragung unterbrochen.)
Das GUIDE Plus+ System benötigt nur eine Datenübertragung pro Tag um die
Fernsehprogrammliste zu aktualisieren, auch wenn die GUIDE Plus+ Daten
mehrfach täglich ausgestrahlt werden.
Wenn das Gerät sich während einer GUIDE Plus+ Datenübertragung im
Standby-Modus befindet, werden die neuen Daten automatisch geladen und
die Fernsehprogrammliste aktualisiert. (Sollte das Gerät keine Programmdaten
empfangen können, z.B. weil es eingeschaltet ist, bleibt die
Fernsehprogrammliste unverändert).
Abhängig von der Zeitzone, in der Sie das Gerät betreiben, kann es bis zu ca.
einem Tag dauern, bevor Sie die Fernsehprogrammliste des GUIDE Plus+
Systems anzeigen können. Die Sender, die in der Fernsehprogrammliste
angezeigt werden sind regional unterschiedlich. Ein Sender, der für Ihre Region
nicht vom GUIDE Plus+ System unterstützt wird, kann in der
Fernsehprogrammliste nicht angezeigt werden, auch wenn er grundsätzlich
empfangen werden kann.

DVD Recorders DMR-EH50, DMR-EH52.
Hinweis
Hinweis Der Empfang von GUIDE Plus+ System Daten ist nur über den
Antenneneingang Ihres DVD Recorders DMR-EH50, DMR-EH52 möglich.
Der Empfang von GUIDE Plus+ Daten über extern angeschlossene Satelliten Receiver
oder digitale Settop Boxen ist nicht möglich.
Anschließend können Sie das GUIDE Plus+ System initialisieren.
Automatische Einstellung des GUIDE Plus+ Systems
Für den Empfang muss bei der Grundeinstellung des Gerätes das Land, Datum
und die Uhrzeit Ihres aktuellen Standortes eingestellt sein. Bei Erstinbetriebnahme
des Gerätes erscheint nach der Sendersuche oder der automatischen Senderübernahme (Q-Link) das Menü Autom. Einstellung für das GUIDE Plus+ System (Bild A).
Für weitere Informationen zur Grundeinstellung lesen Sie bitte die Bedienungsanleitung Ihres Gerätes. Sie können das GUIDE Plus+ System nicht initialisieren,
wenn die Uhrzeit nicht eingestellt ist.

Um das GUIDE Plus+ System zu initialisieren, wählen Sie mit [ ] "Ja"
und drücken Sie [ENTER] (Bild A).
Wünschen Sie keine Initialisierung, wählen Sie "Nein". Sie können die Einstellung
durch Aufrufen des GUIDE Plus+ Systems zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt nachholen.

Geben Sie die Postleitzahl Ihres Standortes mit [ ] oder den Zifferntasten der
Fernbedienung ein und bestätigen Sie mit [ENTER] (Bild B).
Sollte sich Ihre Postleitzahl verändern, können Sie diese Daten zu einem späteren
Zeitpunkt im Setup des GUIDE Plus+ Systems (Seite 5) neu einstellen.

Wählen Sie mit [ ] "Ja" und bestätigen Sie mit [ENTER] (Bild C).
Die GUIDE Plus+ Daten werden geladen. Dies dauert ca. 2 Stunden.
Erscheint nach dem Ladevorgang bei einem Sender der Hinweis "Keine Daten",
überprüfen Sie die Einstellungen im Editor des GUIDE Plus+ Systems (Seite 5).
Beantworten Sie die Abfrage mit "Nein", wenn die GUIDE Plus+ Daten nicht
geladen werden sollen. Sie können die GUIDE Plus+ Daten zu einem späteren
Zeitpunkt mit Hilfe des Setups des GUIDE Plus+ Systems laden (Seite 5).

Die GUIDE Plus+ Daten werden automatisch geladen, wenn Sie Ihr Gerät
24 Stunden im Standby-Modus lassen.

Hinweis Nachdem das GUIDE Plus+ System initialisiert ist, werden die Daten
mehrmals täglich automatisch aktualisiert. Um eine Aktualisierung zu gewährleisten,
schalten Sie Ihr Gerät in den Standby-Modus und nehmen Ihr Gerät nicht vom Netz.
Während der Aktualisierung erscheint "GUIDE" im Display Ihres Gerätes. Wenn Sie
das Gerät einschalten, während "GUIDE" erscheint, wird die Aktualisierung unterbrochen. Nachdem Sie Ihr Gerät in den Standby-Modus geschaltet haben, werden die
GUIDE Plus+ Daten gespeichert und bleiben auch bei einer späteren Trennung vom
Netz gespeichert. Sollte ein Sender kurzfristig sein Programm ändern, können die
GUIDE Plus+ Programminformationen vom aktuellen Programm abweichen.
Sollten Sie keine Daten empfangen haben, beachten Sie bitte die
folgenden Hinweise:
Der Empfang von GUIDE Plus+ ist nicht in allen Ländern möglich (Tabelle: Liste
der Datensender). Wurde kein Datensender gefunden, erscheint die Anzeige
"Keinen GUIDE Plus+ Datensender gefunden". Überprüfen Sie, ob der richtige
Datensender zugeordnet ist (Tabelle: Liste der Datensender; Einstellung Seite 5).
Die Suche nach dem Datensender dauert ca. 1 Stunde.
Welche Sender in der GUIDE Plus+ Programmliste erscheinen, hängt von den
lokalen Empfangsbedingungen ab. Eine nicht optimale Empfangsqualität kann
zu fehlenden oder unvollständigen GUIDE Plus+ Daten führen (Bild D).

TIMER RECORDING im GUIDE Plus+ System
Ein Programm, das Sie aufnehmen möchten, können Sie in der GUIDE Plus+
Programmliste anwählen (auch wenn "Keine Daten" angezeigt wird) und direkt in das
TIMER RECORDING Menü übertragen.
Wählen Sie das gewünschte Programm mit [ ] in der GUIDE Plus+

Programmliste aus (Bild F/G, Seite 3). Drücken Sie [ENTER]. Das TIMER RECORDING
Menü erscheint auf Ihrem Bildschirm mit den Daten des gewählten Programms (Bild H).

Wählen Sie mit [ ] das Aufnahmemedium (HDD oder DVD). Haben Sie DVD als
Aufnahmemedium ausgewählt und auf der eingelegten DVD ist nicht mehr genug
Platz, schaltet die Aufnahme automatisch auf HDD.
Mit [ ] wählen Sie den Modus an. Sie können den Modus mit [ ] ändern.

Mit [ ] wählen Sie VPS/PDC an. Sie können VPS/PDC manuell mit [ ]
ein- oder ausschalten.

Sie bitte die Bedienungsanleitung Ihres Gerätes.
Mit [ ] können Sie manuell die angezeigten Daten für Name, Datum, Start und

aufnehmen wollen, manuell zu verändern, wählen Sie mit [ ] Titel Eingabe an
und drücken [ENTER]. Das Menü Titel Eingabe erscheint.

Nachdem Sie den Titel eingegeben und übernommen haben, erscheint

Drücken Sie [TIMER], um das Gerät in den TIMER-Standby-Modus zu schalten.

Programmauswahl nach Themenbereichen im GUIDE Plus+ System
Die Programm Typ Funktion ermöglicht es Ihnen, sich eine Programmliste nach
unterschiedlichen Themenbereichen sortiert (z.B. Filme, Sport) anzeigen zu lassen.
Jeder Themenbereich enthält individuelle Rubriken. Die Programmliste für den
gewählten Themenbereich erscheint nur in der Vertikal-Ansicht.

Mit [ ] wählen Sie den gewünschten Themenbereich.

Grundeinstellungen zu Ihrer GUIDE Plus+ Programmliste ändern.

GUIDE Plus+ Systems mit den entsprechenden Einstellungen erscheint (Bild N).

Mit [ ] wählen Sie den gewünschten Menüpunkt aus und drücken Sie [ENTER].
Postleitzahl
Für den Empfang der regional abhängigen Daten ist die Eingabe der Postleitzahl
erforderlich. Die Eingabe einer falschen Postleitzahl kann dazu führen, dass falsche
oder keine Daten empfangen werden.

Um die Postleitzahl zu ändern, wählen Sie mit [ ] "Ja" und drücken Sie [ENTER].

Mit [ ] oder mit den Zifferntasten geben Sie Ihre Postleitzahl ein und
bestätigen Sie mit [ENTER].

Hinwei Bestehende Daten können bei Änderung der Postleitzahl verloren gehen.
Datensender
Über den Datensender werden die GUIDE Plus+ Systemdaten übertragen.
Eine falsche Einstellung führt zu nicht korrekten Daten. Es wird die Einstellung
"Auto" empfohlen. Ein Datensender wird dann vom System automatisch eingestellt.

Um den Datensender manuell zu verändern, wählen Sie mit [ ] den
gewünschten Sender und bestätigen Sie mit [ENTER].

Wählen Sie mit [ ] "Ja" und drücken Sie [ENTER].
Die Einstellung des Datensenders kann einige Zeit benötigen.

Hinwei Bestehende Daten können bei Änderung des Datensenders verloren gehen.

Um die Daten zu aktualisieren, wählen Sie mit [ ] "Ja" und drücken Sie [ENTER].
Die Aktualisierung kann ca. 2 Stunden dauern.
Auto-Download-Priorität
Die GUIDE Plus+ Datenaktualisierung erfolgt mehrmals täglich. In dem im Menü
angezeigten Zeitraum können mit dem TIMER RECORDING Menü programmierte
Aufnahmen unvollständig sein, ansonsten haben mit dem TIMER RECORDING
Menü programmierte Aufnahmen immer Vorrang.
"GUIDE Plus+": In dem im Menü angezeigten Zeitraum hat die GUIDE Plus+
Datenübertragung Priorität gegenüber der mit dem TIMER
RECORDING Menü programmierten Aufnahme. Mit dem
TIMER RECORDING Menü programmierte Aufnahmen werden
nicht gestartet oder für die Datenübertragung unterbrochen.
"Timer Prog.": Sind mit dem TIMER RECORDING Menü Aufnahmen
programmiert, kann es dazu führen, dass keine GUIDE Plus+
Datenaktualisierung erfolgt.

Erscheint in der GUIDE Plus+ Programmliste eines Senders "Keine Daten" (Bild P),
wird dieser Sender entweder nicht von den GUIDE Plus+ Daten unterstützt oder ein
GUIDE Plus+ Referenzsender konnte nicht eindeutig zugewiesen werden (im Editor
erscheint "----" im Referenzfeld des entsprechenden Senders) (Bild O).
In diesen Fall ordnen Sie den entsprechenden Referenzsender manuell zu.
Wurde ein Sendername nicht erkannt (z.B. ***6) können Sie den entsprechenden
Referenzsender ebenfalls manuell zuordnen.

Überprüfen Sie, ob das Setup des GUIDE Plus+ Systems vollständig durchgeführt wurde. /
Die GUIDE Plus+ Systemdaten werden mehrfach täglich aktualisiert. Nach dem ersten Anschließen des
Gerätes ist das GUIDE Plus+ System noch nicht bereit für den Datenempfang. / Das Gerät benötigt ca.eine
Stunde (durchschnittlich 30 Minuten) um den Datensender zu finden. Danach benötigt es bis zu 24 Stunden
um alle Daten zu laden. / Schalten Sie Ihren DVD Recorder einmal in den Standby-Modus, um die Daten zu
speichern. / Überprüfen Sie, ob Ihre Uhrzeit richtig eingestellt
ist. / Bei schlechter Signalqualität (Doppelbilder oder eingeschränkter Empfang) kann das GUIDE Plus+
System unter Umständen keine Daten empfangen. Mit einem Empfangsverstärker lässt sich dieses Problem
eventuell beheben.
Die Datenrate, mit der GUIDE Plus+ gesendet wird, ist begrenzt. Je nach Land, Signalqualität und Anzahl
der empfangenden Kanäle variiert die Zeit, bis das GUIDE Plus+ System abrufbereit ist.
Diese Sender konnten möglicherweise nicht automatisch identifiziert werden. => Wählen Sie für diese
Sender im Submenü unter Editor die Einstellung "Ein" und weisen Sie den richtigen Referenzsender
manuell zu (Seite 5). / Einige Sender werden vom GUIDE Plus+ System nicht unterstützt.
Der Referenzsender im SUB MENU Editor ist nicht richtig zugewiesen (Seite 5). Wählen Sie den richtigen
Referenzsender aus. / Es gab eine Programmänderung. Überprüfen Sie das aktuelle Programm z.B. auf der
Webseite des GUIDE Plus+ Systemanbieters oder bei den Senderanbietern.
Wählen Sie für diese Sender im SUB MENU unter Editor die Einstellung "Ein" / "Aus" manuell aus (Seite 5). /
Sie können nur Sender einblenden, die vom GUIDE Plus+ System unterstützt werden.
Das GUIDE Plus+ System zeigt die Daten an, die bis zum Abbruch empfangen wurden.
Die Programminformationen können lückenhaft sein.
Nein, Sie können das GUIDE Plus+ System ohne Vertrag nutzen.
Das Gerät muß im Standby-Modus sein, um Daten aktualieren zu können. Ist das Gerät im EXT Link-Modus
(EXT LINK leuchtet im Display) kann ebenfalls keine Datenaktualisierung durchgeführt werden./ Stellen Sie
sicher, dass die Uhrzeit korrekt eingestellt ist. / Überprüfen Sie, ob unter Auto-Download-Priorität "Timer
Prog." eingestellt ist und ändern Sie die Einstellung in "GUIDE Plus+" (Seite 5).
Die Aktualisierungshäufigkeit hängt vom jeweiligen Sender ab (mehrfach täglich). / Die Daten werden
automatisch aktualisiert, wenn das Gerät im Standby-Modus ist. / Wählen Sie unter "Auto Download Priorität"
"GUIDE Plus+" (Seite 5). Bei dieser Einstellung wird automatisch zwischen 2:50 und 5:10 Uhr aktualisiert.
Während der Datenübertragung erscheint "GUIDE" im Display Ihres Gerätes und der Lüfter des Gerätes
schaltet sich ein.
Sie können die Anfangs- und Endzeit von TIMER Programmierungen im TIMER RECORDING Menü
manuell ändern (Seite 4).
Das GUIDE Plus+ System arbeitet unabhängig von VPS/PDC. Sie können dennoch TIMER
Aufzeichnungen mit VPS / PDC im TIMER RECORDING Menü programmieren.
Das Gerät ist nicht im TIMER-Standby (TIMER Symbol " " im Display des Gerätes leuchtet
nicht). / Überprüfen Sie, ob unter Auto Download Priorität "GUIDE Plus+" ausgewählt ist und
ändern Sie die Einstellung auf "Timer Prog." (Seite 5).
Programmieren Sie die Timer Aufnahme manuell oder über ShowView.
Das "T" Symbol erscheint in der GUIDE Plus+ Liste, wenn eine TIMER Aufnahme mit dem GUIDE Plus+ System
programmiert ist. Um eine TIMER-Programmierung aufzuheben, drücken Sie [PROG/CHECK].
Wählen Sie den gewünschten Eintrag aus und drücken Sie [CANCEL] (Seite 4).
Nein, nur über den eingebauten Tuner. Um Timeraufnahmen mit Satellitenreceivern oder Set Top Boxen
auszuführen, nutzen Sie bitte die External Link Funktion oder die manuelle Timer Programmierung Ihres
Gerätes.
Die GUIDE Plus+ Systemdaten werden nicht aktualisiert. / Wenn das Gerät für längere Zeit vom Stromnetz
getrennt ist, gehen die GUIDE Plus+ Daten verloren. / Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Uhrzeit wieder richtig
gesetzt ist.
Ändern Sie im GUIDE Plus+ Setup Menü die Postleitzahl (Seite 5). Wenn erforderlich, führen Sie ein vollständiges
Auto-Setup durch (Seite 2). Eventuell noch gespeicherte GUIDE Plus+ Daten gehen dabei verloren.
Wählen Sie "Daten löschen" im Setup Menü. Achtung, alle Einstellungen und Daten gehen verloren, wenn
Sie das Gerät in den Auslieferungszustand versetzen.
Die GUIDE Plus+ Informationsfelder
Der Inhalt der GUIDE Plus+ Informationsfelder kann sich verändern.
Der GUIDE Plus+ Programmanbieter ist für den Inhalt der Informationsfelder verantwortlich (Bild Q).

Mode d’emploi du système GUIDE Plus+
Votre enregistreur DVD DMR-EH50, DMR-EH52 dispose d’un système
d’affichage des programmes TV interactif disponible pour la réception TV
analogique. Ce système vous propose diverses fonctions, telles que l’affichage
de la grille des programmes TV des 7 prochains jours ou la programmation
simple et rapide de vos enregistrements par sélection directe des émissions
souhaitées à partir de l’aperçu des programmes.
Réception de la grille des programmes TV (Grille des programmes Guide Plus+)
La toute première fois que vous allumez votre appareil, vous ne pouvez pas encore
consulter la grille des programmes TV. Vous devez tout d’abord effectuer le Setup
du système GUIDE Plus+. Au cours de ce setup, tous les réglages permettant de
recevoir la grille des programmes TV seront automatiquement effectués.
Suite à cela, l’appareil sera en mesure de charger les informations de la grille.
Les données du Guide Plus+ sont diffusées plusieurs fois par jour par un canal
hôte. (Ce canal est une chaîne TV diffusant la grille des programmes TV.)
Cet appareil reçoit et met à jour la grille des programmes TV lorsqu’il est en
standby. Pour commuter l’appareil en standby, appuyez sur le bouton standby /
on situé sur l’appareil ou la télécommande.
Le transfert des données dure env. 2 heures. (Durant ce temps, la mention
"GUIDE" s’affiche sur l’écran de l’appareil et le ventilateur de l’appareil se met
en marche. Si vous allumez l’appareil alors que "GUIDE" est affiché à l’écran, la
transmission des données s’interrompt.)
Pour mettre à jour la grille des programmes TV, le système GUIDE Plus+ n’a
besoin que d’une seule transmission de données par jour, et cela même si les
données GUIDE Plus+ sont diffusées plusieurs fois par jour.
Si, lors d’un transfert de données GUIDE Plus+, l’appareil est en standby, les
données sont alors automatiquement chargées et la grille des programmes TV
actualisée. (Si l’appareil est allumé, et par conséquent, qu’il n’est pas en mesure
de recevoir les informations relatives aux programmes, la grille des programmes
restera inchangée).
Selon le fuseau horaire dans lequel l’appareil est situé, il peut s’écouler jusqu’à
une journée complète avant que vous ne puissiez consulter la grille des
programmes TV du système GUIDE Plus+. Les chaînes affichées dans la grille
des programmes TV diffèrent d’une région à l’autre. Si le système GUIDE Plus+
ne prend pas en charge l’une des chaînes de votre région, celle-ci ne pourra pas
être affichée dans la grille des programmes TV et ce, même si vous pouvez la
recevoir.

Commencez par raccorder votre enregistreur DVD DMR-EH50, DMR-EH52 puis
procédez aux divers réglages initiaux.
Pour cela, veuillez consulter les informations de réglage que vous trouverez dans le
mode d’emploi de votre enregistreur DVD DMR-EH50, DMR-EH52.
Remarque
La réception des données du système GUIDE Plus+ n’est possible que
par le biais de l’entrée d’antenne de votre enregistreur DVD DMR-EH50, DMR-EH52.
La réception des données GUIDE Plus+ via un récepteur satellite externe ou une Set
Top Box numérique est impossible. Vous pourrez ensuite initialiser le système GUIDE
Plus+.
Configuration automatique du système GUIDE Plus+
Pour permettre la réception des données, vous devez renseigner, lors du réglage
initial de votre appareil, le pays, la date et l’heure de votre lieu de résidence actuel.
Lors de la première mise en marche de l’appareil, suite au réglage des chaînes ou à
la mémorisation automatique des chaînes (Q-Link), vous voyez apparaître le menu
Configuration automatique du système GUIDE Plus+ (figure A). Pour davantage
d’informations concernant la configuration initiale, veuillez consulter le mode d’emploi
de votre appareil. Vous ne pourrez pas initialiser le système GUIDE Plus+ tant que
l’horloge n’aura pas été réglée.
Pour initialiser le système GUIDE Plus+, avec [ ] sélectionnez "Oui"

puis appuyez sur [ENTER] (figure A).
Si vous ne souhaitez pas procéder à l’initialisation, sélectionnez "Non". Vous
pourrez effectuer ce réglage plus tard, en appelant le système GUIDE Plus+.
Entrez le code postal de votre lieu de résidence à l’aide de [ ] ou des touches

numérotées de la télécommande puis validez avec [ENTER] (figure B).
Si vous changez de code postal, vous pourrez modifier ce réglage au moment
venu dans le menu de configuration du système GUIDE Plus+ (page 5).
Avec [ ], choisissez "Oui" puis validez avec [ENTER] (figure C). Le chargement

des données GUIDE Plus+ est lancé. Cette opération dure env. 2 heures. Une fois
la procédure de chargement terminée, si vous obtenez l’indication [Aucune
donnée] pour une chaîne, vérifiez les paramètres définis dans l’éditeur du système
GUIDE Plus+ (page 5). Répondez à la question par "Non" si vous ne souhaitez pas
charger les données GUIDE Plus+. Vous pourrez procéder ultérieurement à ce
chargement à l’aide du configuration du système GUIDE Plus+ (page 5).
Remarque
Si vous laissez votre appareil en veille durant au moins 24 heures, les
données GUIDE Plus+ seront automatiquement chargées.
Remarque Une fois que le système GUIDE Plus+ aura été initialisé, les données
seront réactualisées automatiquement plusieurs fois par jour. Pour garantir la mise
à jour de ces données, commutez votre appareil en standby et ne le débranchez
pas. Lorsqu’une mise à jour est en cours, la mention "GUIDE" est affichée à l’écran
de l’appareil. Si vous mettez votre appareil en marche alors que "GUIDE" est
affiché, la mise à jour sera interrompue. Après avoir commuté votre appareil en
standby, ce dernier mémorise les données GUIDE Plus+ qui resteront enregistrées
même si vous le débranchez. Si une chaîne TV change ses programmes à la
dernière minute, il est possible que les informations indiquées dans le GUIDE
Plus+ soient différentes des informations du programme actuel.
Si vous n’avez reçu aucune donnée, veuillez lire ce qui suit :
Vous ne pouvez pas recevoir GUIDE Plus+ dans tous les pays (tableau : liste
des Canaux Hôtes). Si aucun Canal Hôte n’a pu être localisé, la mention
"Aucune Canal Hôte détécte" s’affiche. Assurez-vous que le Canal Hôte trouvé
est le bon (tableau : liste des Canal Hôte; réglage page 5). La recherche du
Canal Hôte dure env. 1 heure. Le nom des chaînes affichées dans la grille des
programmes du GUIDE Plus+ dépend des conditions de réception locales. Si la
qualité de réception n’est pas optimale, les données GUIDE Plus+ reçues
pourront être incomplètes ou erronées (figure D).

Consultation et utilisation du système GUIDE Plus+
Le système GUIDE Plus+ vous propose deux grilles de programmes conviviales (l'une en
affichage Paysage et l'autre en affichage Portrait) dans lesquelles vous avez la possibilité
de choisir la chaîne souhaitée et de consulter les informations sur ses programmes.

Accès via le menu FUNCTIONS :

Avec [ ], sélectionnez le menu GUIDE Plus+ puis appuyez sur
[ENTER] (figure E). La grille des programmes GUIDE Plus+ s’affiche.
Remarque Certains programmes proposent des informations complémentaires.
Ces programmes sont identifiables par le symbole (page 4).
Affichage Paysage du système GUIDE Plus+
L’heure approximative du début des différents programmes est matérialisée dans le
bandeau horaire par tranches de 30 minutes. Si vous sélectionnez un programme,
son nom complet (figure F) ainsi que l’heure de sa diffusion s’affichent dans la ligne
située au dessus de ce bandeau.

[ ] vous permettent de vous déplacer dans la grille des programmes
GUIDE Plus+ (figure F). Seuls les programmes en cours ou à venir sont affichés.

Vous pouvez également vous déplacer dans la grille des programmes GUIDE
Plus+ à l’aide de la molette de navigation de votre télécommande.
Rotation vers la droite : pour faire descendre le curseur.
Rotation vers la gauche : pour faire monter le curseur.
