IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.
2.
Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponding to the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.
3. Verify that the voltage in your home corresponds to that of your appliance.
4. DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
5. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse the cord, plug, temperature controller or the appliance in water or other liquid.
6. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
7. Unplug from outlet and allow to cool when not in use, before cleaning, and before putting on or taking o parts
8. DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
9. Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.
10. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in re, electric shock or cause injury.
11. DO NOT let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.

14. Do not intend to operate by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
15. Extreme caution must be exercised when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids
16. Do not use on plastic or synthetic tablecloths or any unstable surface or near ammable goods including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, as re may occur.
17. Never impact this unit or drop from high place.
18. DO NOT touch the plate surface while in use or before cooling down, even when the power is switched o.
19. DO NOT touch the stainless steel cover during use. HOT SURFACE!
20. Do not use metal utensils on the cooking plate, as they will scratch the non-stick coating.
21. To disconnect, turn temperature control to MIN setting and unplug cord from outlet.
22. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
23. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Before First Use
Before using the appliance for the rst time, remove and peel o any promotional materials and packaging materials, and check that the cooking plates and accessories are clean and free of dust. Read entire instruction manual for a full understanding of your new appliance.
1 Clean the grill, plates (see “Cleaning and Care”). It is recommended to heat up the grill
for about 10 minutes without any food in order to eliminate any grease that may have adhered during the manufacturing process.
2 Ventilate the room during this period. When your Panini Maker/Grill is heated for the rst
time, it may emit slight smoke or odor. This is normal with many heating appliances. This does not aect the safety of your appliance.
Operation
Note: Ensure that the cord is kept well away from the cooking surfaces at all times while in use or when the unit is hot.
With the thermostat set to “Min”, plug the appliance in. The red power light and green ready light will light up.
Apply a little oil on the cooking plate. Turn the knob to desired temperature level. Preheat the grill to reach the ideal cooking temperature. When the appliance reaches the desired temperature, the green ready light will go o.
Note: Green ready light may turn on and o during cooking. This indicates that the thermostat is maintaining the proper cooking temperature to grill to perfection.
Ensure the drip tray is properly inserted and placed on the back of the appliance. (see Page 4 for illustration).
WARNING: THE METAL TOP COVER GETS VERY HOT. KEEP HANDS AND OTHER OBJECTS AWAY FROM IT. ALLOW THE UNIT TO COOL OFF COMPLETELY FOLLOWING OPERATION (USUALLY APPROXIMATELY 40 MINUTES) BEFORE TOUCHING THE PLATES OR HOUSING.
To Use as a Contact Grill:
The Contact Grill can be used to cook items such as burgers (including but not limited to hamburgers, veggie burgers, turkey burgers, etc), boneless pieces of meat and thin cuts of meats and vegetables.
1 Plug in the unit. 2 Set the Thermostat Control to your desired setting. At rst, try a setting neat the “Max”
setting. You may adjust it lower or higher according to your preference.
3 Ensure the drip tray is properly inserted and placed on the back of the appliance in
order to catch the grease.
4 Inser t your desired food onto the bottom cooking plate. Ideally make sure your foods
are approximately the same height, as the lid will need to press on the top of the food in order to cook it evenly.
5 Close the top cooking plate. The top plate must be fully lowered to achieve Grill marks
on the selected foods. The green ready light will illuminate until the food is cooked in 3-8 minutes, you may stop cooking when the food reaches golden brown or adjust cooking time to t your desired taste.
6 When the food is cooked use the handle to open the lid. Remove the food with the help
of a plastic or wooden spatula. DO NOT use metal utensils for any reason as these will scratch the non-stick coating on the plates.
