This cash regist er enables you to register amounts according to depar tments and PLUs. Various repor ts c an be pr inted out for evaluating and analyzing sales.

Starting up
Intended use
This cash regist er should only be us ed for performing cash regist er business indoor s . Any other use is considered unint ended us e.
General information/ Safety notes
Make sure that the mains volt age c or r es ponds to the specifications indicated on the rating plate located at the back of the cash register.
The cash register is a highly s ophis ticated piece of equipment. Nev er try to repair it yourself. If r epair s ar e necessar y , give the cash register to an authorized serv ic e center or your sales outlet.
Never insert metallic objects such as screwdrivers, paper clips, etc. into the cash register. T hey may dam age the cas h r egis ter and present the danger of causing an electric shock.
Always switch off the cas h r egis ter after having finished your work.
Clean the cash register by dust ing it with a dry cloth. Never use water or solvents ,
such as paint thinner or alc ohol, to clean the cash register.
In order to completely dis c onnec t the cash register from the power supply , disconnect the power plug from the socket.
Do not expose the cash regist er to exc es s iv e heat.
Keep the transport protection locks for future us e. If the cas h r egis ter is
subsequently moved, the transport locks must be reinstalled.
Transport protection locks
Before starting to operate the cash register, remove any transport protection locks and keep them for futur e use.
Important transport notes:
In the case of damage caused dur ing trans por t, the unit must be returned with the packaging, operating instructions and accessor ies .
Connection to the power supply
Before connecting the cash register to the mains power supply, c hec k that t he v oltage and frequency specif ic ations on the rating plate correspond to the local power supply.
Safety n o te: The power sockets must be located close to the cash register and be easily
accessible. This enables the cash register to be disconnected f r om the power supply quickly in an emergency.
Note:
All data is retained f ollowing dis c onnec tion from the mains power supply. The internal backup batt er y ens ur es data retention for approx. 2 months after disconnecting AC plug fr om power outlet. To charge up the battery for this, keep the cash register connec ted to the power supply for 12 hours after switc hing it on for the first time.

Printer
Caution: Observe the following infor m ation to ensure long, trouble-fr ee oper ation:
Never
- print when no paper is inserted.
- pull t he paper when the printer is in operation.
- use poor quality paper or ink rollers.
- use us ed paper r olls a s ec ond time.
- manipulate the printer mechanis m with hard objects or move by hand.
Pay attention to t he end of paper m ar k ings . Change t he paper r oll im m ediately.
Have the cash regist er/pr inter serviced regularly by an authoriz ed s er v ic e c enter.
Change the ink roller when the print quality starts to deterior ate.
Insert paper roll
1. Open t he pr inter lid.
2. Turn the key-operated switch to REG.
3. Inser t the paper roll (57 mm width) for the receipt in t he paper holder. Bend the roll s uppor t a little to the left. The end of the paper roll must be at the bott om .
4. Feed t he end of t he paper , cut straight, in the printer and press

. Depending on the method of use, feed the paper past the tear-of f edge on t he pr inter lid or onto the paper take-up reel.
5. Close the pr inter lid.

Paper reel
The paper reel is required when t he paper s hould be r olled onto it.
1. Open the printer lid.
2. Remove the paper reel.
3. Thread the end of the paper in the slit in the paper reel.
4. Insert the paper reel in the hollows provided for it.
5. In order to remove t he journal paper af ter it has been rolled up on the reel, remove the paper r eel and pull the journal paper roll off.
6. Reinsert the paper r eel.
7. Close the printer lid.
Change ink roller
Note: Only use original ink rollers .
1. Open t he pr inter lid.
2. Pull the ink r oller up and out using the grip (on the left).
3. Inser t a new ink roller on the guides.
4. Close the pr inter lid.

Key-operated switch
The key-operated s witch is the operational center of the cash regis ter. Various keys are available whic h enable the different functions to be used. The X key enables the user to make registr ations and print reports without clearing the memory. The REG key enables the user to make regis trations and print reports with/without clearing the memory and pr ogr am the cas h r egis ter. The PRG key enables the user to make registr ations and pr int reports with/without clearing the memory and pr ogr am the cas h r egis ter. It is also possible to activate Training mode.
Significance of t he s witch positions: PRG = Programming level
Used to program the system flags, departments, items, prices, etc. The REG and PRG keys can be turned to this position.
OFF = Power supply is switched off.
Each key can be turned to this position.
REG = Sales trans ac tions can be registered
(refer to Chapter “Operation”). Each key can be turned to this position.
CAL = Calculation level
Addition, subtr ac tion, multiplication and division can be performed using this m ode and the res ult transferred to transactions in REG m ode.
X = Reports can be printed without deleting the memory contents
(refer to Chapter “Repor ts”). Each key can be turned to this position.
Z = Reports can be printed with memory contents deletion (refer
to Chapter “Report s ” ). The REG and PRG keys can be turned to this position.
