Product Selection
Handportables
The NPD-1 phone is available as a CDMA tri-mode (DCT 4.0) engine incorporating IS-95B
and IS-2000 features, with full 1XRTT data rate capacity. There also is a 1900 MHz
CDMA version. The transceiver consists of system/RF module, keypad module, LCD module, and assembly parts. The user interface (UI) consists of normal number, talk, soft, and
power keys in the keymat.
There are two antennas — external “whip” plus internal. There is no direct connection
from the whip to the PWB. The signal is capacitively coupled over the air.
NPD-1 features include an internal vibra, a voice recognition algorithm, comprehensive
data support (1XRTT, 14.4k circuit switched, and 14.4 packet data), and codecs..
