Please note the following additions to the manual with version 2.00 fi rmware update for the D2Hs. Except where otherwise noted, all page numbers refer to the Guide to Digital Photography with the D2Hs.
Custom Setting d2: Maximum Number of Shots Taken in Continuous Shooting (Pages 42 and 186)
The maximum number of shots that can be taken in a single burst in continuous shooting mode has increased from 50 to 60. Note, however, that shooting will slow when the memory buff er is full (page 42). Up to fi fty JPEG and up to forty NEF (RAW), NEF (RAW)+JPEG, or TIFF (RGB) photographs can be stored in the memory buff er with noise reduction off and sensitivity set to ISO 100 equivalent. The fi gures for JPEG and NEF (RAW)+JPEG photographs assume that JPEG compression is set to Size
priority (page 45).
To ne Compensation (Page 66)
The tone compensation menu can now be used to choose from up to three userdefi ned curves. Tone curves can be downloaded to the camera using Camera Control Pro version 1.1.1 or Nikon Capture 4 version 4.42 (available separately).
Using a GPS Unit (Page 125)
The camera will now record compass headings supplied by GPS units with a digital compass. When using a GPS unit equipped with a compass, align the GPS device with the camera lens and keep it at least 20 cm (8 in.) from the camera body as shown at right.
The compass heading appears on the GPS data page of the photo information display as shown at right. In addition, latitude and longitude are now shown to three decimal places (page 130).
Photo Information (Page 129)
The third page of the shooting information display (Shooting Data 1) now lists information on vibration reduction (available with VR lenses only) and focus mode.
