Setup
Connect the power cable to the rear panel and

plug into an external power source
Connect the keyboard and mouse using USB

Plug Ethernet cable(s) into the Ethernet port(s)

and connect to a network with Internet access
Open the front panel and press the power

Registration
1. Accept the End User License Agreement
2. If necessary, enter the Serial Number and Product ID for 
your system in the TalkShow registration dialog box
3. Click the Continue button as directed in the TalkShow 
registration dialog box to proceed to the NewTek 
Registration site
4. Create (or log into) your User Account in the NewTek 
Registration System using a valid e-mail address
5. Enter your product information as required, then click the 
Register button to obtain your Registration Code via e-mail
6. Enter your Registration Code in the TalkShow registration 
dialog box as directed, then click Continue to complete 
registration and launch TalkShow

Congure Skype TX controller
1. Accept the Skype TX End User License Agreement
2. Sign in using an existing Skype ID or associated Microsoft account 
(or create a new account)
3. In the Skype TX controller user interface, click the menu icon in the 
top right corner of the window
4. Navigate to the data entry eld under Add a Skype TX Unit to control
5. Enter the device name for your TalkShow system (displayed in the 
title bar of the TalkShow user interface) or the system’s IP number 
into the data entry eld
6. Click the (+) button to the right of the data entry eld to add the 
four call channels of your TalkShow system to Skype TX controller
7. Choose a call channel and click Sign In
8. Congure the settings for the channel using the on-screen controls; repeat steps 7-8 for each call channel

Registration is required to begin using TalkShow. To register your system, connect TalkShow to a network with Internet access as directed and follow the instructions provided, or visit register.newtek.com from any 
Web browser (TalkShow Serial Number and Product ID required).
Be sure to record your User Account login and password, Serial Number, Product ID, and Registration Code, and store in a safe place for future reference.

Quick Start Guide
Input conguration — 
Return video and audio to caller
Choose and set up the desired input conguration for 
your production workow, then select the appropriate 
input connection and audio connection for each call 
channel using the conguration panel in the TalkShow user 
Interface. When a Skype call is active, TalkShow will supply 
the return video and audio3 from your production system(s) 
to caller(s)
    Input via Network (NewTek NDI™):
A
• Plug Ethernet cable(s) into the Ethernet port(s) on 
the TalkShow rear panel and connect to the same 
network as NDI-enabled production system(s)
• Choose the desired NDI video and audio 
source(s) for return A/V signal(s)
    Input via SDI (with embedded audio):
B
• Connect SDI cable(s) from production system 
output(s) to SDI IN connector(s) on the rear panel 
to supply return A/V signal(s) to TalkShow
    Input via SDI (paired with analog audio):
C
• Connect SDI cable(s) from production system 
output(s) to SDI IN connector(s) on the rear panel 
to supply return video signal(s) to TalkShow
• Connect one or more analog audio sources to the 
appropriate AUDIO IN connector(s)4 on the rear 
panel to supply return audio signal(s) to TalkShow
Output conguration — 
Receive call video and audio
Choose and set up the desired output conguration for 
your production workow. When Skype call(s) are active, 
TalkShow will supply the call video and audio to your 
production system(s).
    Output via Network (NewTek NDI):
A
• Plug Ethernet cable(s) into the Ethernet port(s) on 
the TalkShow rear panel and connect to the same 
network as NDI-enabled receiving device(s)
• On NDI-enabled receiving device(s), choose 
the TalkShow output channel(s) from the list of 
available NDI sources for video, audio, or both
    Output via SDI (with embedded audio):

• Connect SDI cable(s) to the SDI OUT connector(s) 
on the TalkShow rear panel to supply Skype call 
video and audio to production system input(s)
    Output via SDI (paired with analog audio):
C
• Connect SDI cable(s) to the SDI OUT connector(s) 
on the TalkShow rear panel to supply Skype call 
video to production system input(s)
• Connect one or more analog audio sources to 
the appropriate AUDIO OUT connector(s)4 on the 
TalkShow rear panel to supply Skype call audio to 
audio mixer input(s)
