N-series in Healthcare
The healthcare industry understands the value of virtualizing their environments and
is always looking for ways to make it faster, easier, more exible, or more powerful.
While the benets of a virtualized environment are ample, the user device often goes
overlooked as a way to fully maximize both user experience and return on investment.
For any virtualized environment running Citrix XenApp® and/or XenDesktop® the
NComputing N-series Citrix Ready HDX Veried System-on-Chip (SoC) thin client
devices are any healthcare provider’s key to making their virtualized
environment even more simple, more powerful and more aordable.
The N-series was built from the ground up to be fully optimized for
(and in fact, solely supports) the Citrix HDX protocol.
NComputing has taken our support for HDX environments in
healthcare one step further by integrating with Imprivata® OneSign®
to ensure that doctors, nurses, clinical, and support sta have secure
No Click Access™ to appropriate data and applications by the
authorized individual at the point of care (POC)—hospitals, satellite
clinics, labs, and doctors’ private-practice and home oces.

N500: The workhorse of the N-series family of thin clients, the N500, provides the full
multimedia capabilities demanded by doctors, physicians, health care providers, and
other demanding environments. The N500 incorporates full client-side rendering for
ecient playback of video content, and uses server-side rendering for ash video
playback. It displays content up to full HD at 1080p. The N500 also provides options for
dual display and wireless connectivity (not available with the N400). Also powered by the
Numo™ 3 SoC, the N500 sets the new standard for price/performance in the thin client
market with its rich set of features and capabilities.
N400: The N400 is the thin client device of choice for nurses and healthcare sta who
don’t need full multimedia capabilities. The N400 combines the proven horsepower of
the third generation Numo™ 3 SoC with the deep understanding of desktop virtualization
to support full HDX sessions up to HD 720p and uses server-side rendering for video and
ash video playback.
N-Series Healthcare Use Cases
