State-of-the-art featuring at affordable price
The Marantz DV4300 combines features like MP3, JPEG and
CD-R/-RW playback to an interesting price tag, making it the
perfect machine for everybody that wants to be in the front-line
of innovation. Its ultra slim design makes it fit in any home
theater environment. The DV4300 hosts a full range of
performance and convenience features like progressive scan for
PAL and NTSC source material. Its component and scart
connection possibility make it a true versatile DVD player.
Progressive scan for PAL and NTSC
Compared to a conventional interlaced picture, progressive
scanning creates a picture signal with double the scan lines,
resulting in a noticeably sharper image. The progressive image
offers higher picture resolution and eliminates virtually all
motion artifacts. Even on large screens, the progressive scan lines
are barely noticeable and picture flickering is greatly reduced,
so you can enjoy extended viewing without eye fatigue.
The progressive conversion of the DV4300 is optimized for the
high resolution and low noise of the DVD-Video format for
both PAL and NTSC software. This enables the unit to preserve
DVD-Video picture quality for display on all screen sizes from
direct-view CRT to projectors. Progressive Scan is provided on
the component output.
NTSC playback on PAL TV sets
Elementary differences between the American NTSC- and the
European PAL signal, causes problems for many European
vision products. Therefore Marantz is offering full compatibility.
The synchronisation frequency is altered to European standards,
making the picture suitable for PAL TV sets.
MP3 playback
Compressed audio is becoming more popular every day. Logical,
if you consider that 10 hours of music easily will fit on a single
CD when the music is compressed using MP-3 technology.
The Marantz DV4300 is able to playback such encoded discs,
giving you many hours of musical pleasure and fine sound
quality.
Digital outputs for external (multichannel) decoding
The DV4300 provides playback of any multichannel
information available on DVD-Video discs, via an external
decoder. Most widely used are of course DD and DTS.
Dolby Digital is an advanced form of digital audio coding that
makes it possible to store and transmit high-quality digital
sound far more efficiently than was previously possible.
First used in movie theaters in 1992, it is the result of decades of
research spent by Dolby Laboratories, developing signalprocessing systems that exploit the characteristics of human
hearing. Dolby Digital provides six channels of crystal clear
digital surround sound.
Apart from the Dolby Digital information, DVD software can
also contain Digital Theater System (DTS) audio information.
The compressed digital information offers five fully independent
high quality channels together with a sixth subwoofer channel.
DTS offers superb live experience and adds breathtaking effects
to film.
Ease of use
The DV4300 comes with a wide variety of playback function to
ensure maximum operational convenience. Its has playback
functions such as pause, resume play, slow play, repeat play and
program play. The multi language on-screen display of the
DV4300 is made very userfriendly and intuitive. The various
options are easily changed using the remote control while
monitoring the on-screen display.
D.Bus
To optimize equipment in terms of ease of use, Marantz has
designed the D.Bus system. Individual devices inform each other
in order to automatically tune according the customers
demands. Also received remote control commands are
communicated via this bus. This flexibility enables equipment
without IR-receiver to be controlled via a Marantz remote
control.
